Was trying to simply save on travel time with companies I had been working with, etc.. the company I mainly worked with was in North Cleawater. I should had stuck with them. The drive would had been better then what I dealt with with this company. Let me start with the positive. The outside workers doing tile and cabinetry are wonderful. They would even be better if they had no connection Subcontracting for this business. The negativity of the Business stems from the Owner Richard. I walked into this project with a sweet yet difficult client. I came into Grands showroom to see what they had to offer. The showroom is very lovely and lots of choices. Nothing you couldn't find elsewhere. The staff comes off as being very nice. That is until your contract is signed. 2 contracts here: Contract 1 for $80,000+ for kitchen and 1 bath 2nd contract was for $15k for the shower in the bath they were already doing. None if this included flooring nor paint. As soon as contract was signed. The Owner Richard told my client referring to me. "I don't need her around to babysit me nor my workers. I need a fob and key to your condo". My client easily feeling intimidated my this man. Pushed me aside. By doing so took my project right out from under me. There is an oath against this. I was disgusted. However, it was a must I be there to help create the project before it could begin. Throughout beginning meetings I kept saying. "Don't you want to write this down don't you want to write that down"? I am unsure what ever happened to all my specific requests and details on project. However, they were tossed away somewhere. Also, they took it upon themselves to make changes to specifics like mirror sizes, height of back splashes, etc.. Whatever made it cheaper and simpler for them. So many little mistakes were made. There was constant communication with the office with me literally going in circles about the same darn specifics. So all and all Richard was wrong. They did need to be babysat. A major one. Money money money was constantly requested. Even before it should actually be do. Final 2 payment we're requested when Materbath and kitchen we're still in shambles. But through it all the worst of this project was how Richard likes to intimidate woman. I have had my business 16 years. Yet this man (the Owner) enjoyed degrading me and my intelligents. The final project looked great thanks to the subcontractors working for Grand. Again they would be better off without this negative connection. The project took months on in even though he was trying to rush the other aspects of MY project. Such as flooring, painting, baseboard, window covering, new furniture and appliances, etc.. Everything was held up because of his argumentative child throwing fit ways. I am just writing this review now. Because it has taken me months to get over the verbal and mental abuse I put up with on this project. To much anguish. More then what I ever had on any project in 16 years. My client will not be writing a negative review because she told me she was told by Richard (Owner) that the last woman that did do a bad review was threatened that she would be sewed if not taken down. These review pages are here for a reason. I would NOT ever recommend dealing with Richard, Julie (Owners girlfriend) or Amy. Amy is certainly the best out of the 3. However, it came ahead when my client came to me saying Amy was also bad talking me to her. I was degraded by this company throughout the project to my client. A client I had been working with on several different items for 14+ years. I had written a number of emails to inform Amy about lack of detail on their part. And the disrespect the Owner Richard was showing me as the Decorator on the project. My client not me was informed that Richard was going to come after me for saying anything negative about him. My communication about this man and his organization was specific to his office. I had not said anything to outsiders until write now. I feel as a consumer that I had all rights to address these major issues with his office.

he only installed 700 ft.² and charged $2100. The floor was bare concrete, no baseboards no furniture low spots weren't leveled vapor barrier wasn't used. Scott installed the floor in one day. The room that I installed the same flooring, I have no issues. so just be aware that if you decide to purchase the floors from Mark that he does not recommend mopping them. now I have to find the time to empty my house out. Pull this floor up and replace it with flooring that can actually be mopped. Mark and the crew are very friendly. I got to know the crew very well as I was here most of the time which fortunately for me I was able to catch a lot of the issues firsthand in order to correct them. I know stuff happens and it's not a perfect world that's why I let many things slide. Mark is very difficult to deal with when there's a problem . I knew before the job was finished that I would not use Mark again. That's why I hired somebody else at the same time to continue with another project that I had on the house. His subcontractors for Drywall and electrical were excellent. I actually used them later directly myself. If you decide to use their services get Mark's number right from the beginning and deal with him directly on any issues that you have. Don't call the office or tell anyone on the job site. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions on my experience with Mark or if you would like to see any videos or photos of the work both good and bad because it wasn't all bad. Mark told me several times that he would rather buy my house then have me be unhappy. He said tell me what you want. I'll write you a check or I'll go in my safe and give you cash ...But yet he won't even refund me my $500. All I want is the monetary compensation to purchase a new floor that can be mopped and have it installed properly. read more

I spent 63k with Mark Aleksin owner of Custom Kitchen Baths and beyond, it was filled with many mistakes, lies, deception and harassment. at this point the floors started curling, cupping and separating. Mark sells the floor from his cousin that works for International Wholesale Tile . They convinced me to pay them $500 up front for a professional floor inspection. Per the contract I would be reimbursed If I was found to not be a fault for the bad floor. the conclusion was bad installation on 3 counts. I offered use of the lanai, as I just had an outlet installed (one thing that did go well.) Instead, after walking away and subsequently returning, I discovered that he brought the saw into the bathroom, and since there was no outlet installed in the bathroom yet he decided to move my bureau and use the outlet behind. At one point I saw him taping up the drawers with blue tape, as he said the drawers were opening when he moved the bureau. Again I told him to bring it out to the lanai, but he said he was almost done and I let him finish. The bureau has sticky tape on it that will need to be corrected. Someone had to come back two additional times to fix problems with the tiles and the grouting. From a company who did terrific work with my kitchen two years ago, this project was a total disaster. If I had another 30K I would have someone rip out the entire thing and start over.

We used Generations of Cabinetry twice! The first time was to update our kitchen cabinets back in 2005 from the original style that came with our home to a beautiful solid wood style from the outdated formica cabinets and counter tops. The quality of work from tear down to installation was organized, thorough, clean, and perfection down to every inch! Our friends and family fell in love with our new kitchen and we were happy to referred Generations of Cabinetry to them! My sister and her husband had their kitchen remodeled almost with the same exact cabinet style not long after our kitchen was completed. Their kitchen to this day still looks wonderful! Our neighbors down the street that are now retired Sheriff and a police officer had their entire kitchen gutted and rebuilt by Generations of Cabinetry and it was state of the art design! When I find something I'm so passionate about I can't help bug spread the word! We had another set of friends in West Chase get a quote and also had their kitchen remodeled by G.O.C. Dawn is so amazing at what she does! After listening to your ideas, she can bring it to life with her magic! And when her husband installs everything, oh my goodness, he is a perfectionist and doesn't miss thing. The day of the install, one might think or wonder especially if you've never had a kitchen remodel done before...... oh this is going to take so long and be loud..... not at all!! They walk in your home ready to bring your dream to life and you almost don't even know they're there because they know exacting what to do!! So....moving ahead 14 years later to 2019, my husband and I decided to remodel our kitchen again and yes, in the same house! The kitchen still looked great, but this time we wanted to knock down a wall, and make it an open concept and add an island! So over the years by this time, we have formed a great friendship with G.O.C. and asked Dawn to come and build us another kitchen! So we did and this time we upgraded a lot of features and even added a beautiful quartz countertop! Dawn implemented a lot of new ideas and again, the cost was still in our budget! Quality and design, perfect again! (Side note) we were able to donate the previous cabinets, counter top, and sink to the habitat for humanity still in great condition! This kitchen turned out beautiful and our neighbors a couple of streets over fell in love with our new kitchen and wanted the same concept in their home! So they reached out to Generations of Cabinetry and got what they wanted and are just as happy as we are! We are honored to share our experiences with the world since we've pretty much shared and helped several of our own friends and family make their kitchen dream come to life like have done...... and twice in the same house!
