The bathroom remodel project took over 4 times longer than it should have (they quoted 3 weeks but…read moreit took 14 weeks, and some weeks they didn't even show up at all), they don't get permits even when they are legally required but they don't tell you that unless you ask, and they had to come back and redo poor work repeatedly. For example, they installed floors that were basically sandpaper material and not cleanable so they ripped those out and redid them which added to the project cost. As another example, they had to redo the shower 3 times because it leaked- first they had to remove the glass and redo the tiles, then had to redo the silicone, then had to add extra silicone on their third time out to fix it because the first silicone fix didn't work either. As another example, they installed vessel sinks on top of standard-height countertops and they were so high up I couldn't even reach the sink faucet without a stool (I'm not exaggerating but I'm also only 5'2). So we ended up having to pick all new countertops because they had to redo that whole area. They wanted to charge me for the new countertops and new sinks, but thankfully when I argued that it was their mistake, they denied it being their mistake but did the right thing and didn't charge. It was a bummer to see them ruin the perfect countertops we wanted that matched what we have throughout the house. I was actually really surprised at how many things they were able to do wrong, but I have to admit it all looks really good now. Not sure if it would pass an inspection though. If I had known what it would be like, I definitely wouldn't have chosen them.

This man came in saying he was qualified to do sheetrock repair where a tree had fell on the roof…read moreand we had lots of damage there was also the roof to be repaired which he brought somebody else in on they never finished the job and took advantage of the 70-year-old man with the beginning of Alzheimer's to get all the money out of him before the job was finished needless to say they never finished the job they kept saying they were going to so we let them do some work on the bathroom which was very small and needed to totally remodeled he left us with a brand new tub that won't hold water sheet rock dust all over everything, screws that have not been mudded or sanded seams of the sheetrock are so offset that there's no way to fix it rather than tearing everything out and starting over he just does not know what he's doing I can float out sheetrock I can hang sheetrock mud sheetrock and hand and float it out and he kept telling me because I knew construction finished. I left the bad review he notified my husband today that the remaining balance of $900 is due and it's not paid within 6 months he will see the lean against the property yet he hasn't even finished the job. I would not hire this man again and I recommend that no one else has him because he is inexperienced he has two 21 and 23 year old boys that he leaves on the job by their self and they don't know what they're doing any better than he does and he does. Oh and I forgot to mention the toilet moved from side to side it wasn't fastened down. Everyday he would tell us he would be through the next day and I would tell him there's no way you have too much to do and I would show him the repairs that he did not do right and tell him to do the rest of them right or it was not going to fly with me he ignored me so when he said the job was finished and I said no they're screws up there that haven't even been mudded you still haven't caulked the windows I pointed out to you and you said you would fix . The company is extremely disorganized, employee turnover is constant, and leadership is highly unpredictable. Employees are frequently fired or replaced within a few months, which creates obvious problems for customers expecting continuity on large, expensive projects. Mike and Lorie regularly bring personal conflict into the workplace. I witnessed yelling, fighting during company meetings, disrespect toward each other, and inappropriate treatment of employees. You never know what environment you're walking into on any given day. One of your biggest concerns should be Mike & Lorie's dishonesty and communication. In my experience, Mike repeatedly makes statements to employees and clients that are false, misleading, or directly contradicted what had actually happened. I also witnessed negative and, in my view, untrue statements being made about employees after conflicts or terminations. Different versions of events would be told to different people, which made it extremely difficult to trust internal communication. There were also constant unspoken expectations and shifting directions. Employees spent too much time trying to anticipate ownership's reactions instead of simply doing their jobs and serving customers. I personally experienced commission discrepancies as well. I've never been paid correctly in the entirety of my career here. I would strongly recommend that any employee or contractor independently track every sale, commission, agreement, and payment, or just not work here at all. That will benefit you best. For customers, my advice is simple: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. That simple. There are employees there who genuinely care and try to do good work, but based on what I witnessed internally, I would not personally trust this company with anything.
