Two door installation projects with Lowes and both are still pending after six months. Horrible service, horrible disconnect between the national installation center, no accountability, no way to escalate anything, no communication. The worst. Avoid them like the plague. It has nothing to do with this particular store, it is the process that they developed since a pandemic. It sucks for the sales people, and it sucks for you the client. Also previously had very expensive kitchen cabinet installation project done through Lowe's countryside and I had some problems with the vendor and I had terrible support. My washer was leaking water. I called Lowes and they took my info and provided it to Bolden. Thats who does the repairs. First tech came out mention the transmission went out. He ordered it. Second tech came to replace the transmission he stated the twirl was rust underneath. He ordered the part. He told me to call him when the part arrive. It arrived on the 20th Feb. I called him. He said the appt is for the 26th. I told him I have to work but I will confirm with my friend th we time she will be available. I texted him and said 12:30 on the 26th. No response. I texted a few times again to confirm. He never responded. The day came 12:30. He never showed up. I called him he said he doesn't have a workorder for me. I told him you do. Then he checked and said he does have a workorder but he told me the part will arrive on the 26th and he'll be out on the 27th. I told him no. That was not the conversation. He lied. Largo, FL Lowes - Ulmerton ***Update - increased the stars after our pick up order and truck rental today. In person service was great. Even though our order was not 100% ready they were willing and ready to work and get the job done. We are in the process of updating our home and have to rely on delivery for many items that we cannot fit in our vehicles. Of the (3) deliveries we have had in the last 6 weeks, two have had major missing items (the biggest items which were the whole purpose of needing delivery). One was missing all of the drywall. One was missing a patio furniture set. One order had 4 pieces of crown, but one piece didn't match the other three. The 4th try for delivery said it would be next day for $79 delivery fee. Once I paid, the delivery changed to 12 days later. The store said "those items weren't in stock" which did not match what the website said. Oddly enough I was able to place the order for pick up and the items were ready the next day. NOW - if only someone would answer the phone so that I can rent a truck to pick up my order. Every time I am in the store it is pretty empty, so I am not sure what the delay is all about. As I am typing this I have been calling the store with no answer for 18 minutes. We started at the location in Pinellas Park, which is close to our home and had to go to Largo because what we were looking for was out of stock. This store offers the worst customer service I've ever experienced. they absolutely refused to honor the price from one of their own stores that was 5 miles away claiming each store is an individual entity. To make matters worse the so-called assistant store manager and employee that helped us were extremely condescending, rude and unprofessional. On Monday morning, I called corporate customer service to explain to them the issue and was assured that I would have somebody contact me within 24 hours and as of the time of this post I have yet to receive any correspondence. read more

I have been a customer of Lowe's for a very long time. I purchased new carpet for my townhome and while I am happy with the quality of the carpet and pad I'm not happy with the company who installed it. They send only one man out. He had to move furniture and used my bathroom and shower to store the furniture. My shower door got sprung as though he opened it too wide. I'm not able to fully close it now. The man didn't inspect the subfloor and after install there were lots of loud pops and bangs that woke me up as a result of my son simply walking around. They sent the man out to investigate and he said it was a problem with the subfloor. Why didn't he address this before installing? Then he had to come out to take care of pieces of carpet that were poking out from areas on the steps of my stairway. Now, I found loose carpeting and a weird buckling on a step that I have a work order out on. And now, I have fleas! I have been here over 9 years with the original carpet and have never had this problem. My two cats are indoor cats only and I have not had any other pets in my place. I suppose I could have brought them in, but what a crazy coincidence that I purchase new carpet, over $4000 worth, and a month later my cats start scratching. This has been a terrible experience and it has affected my desire to purchase anything requiring installation from Lowe's again. They need to drop this company they use and find a company who does a better job!! read more

My 88 year old father visits this Lowe's frequently. Recently on the way home from an apt, he got a flat tire. He managed to pull into this Lowe's parking lot. An employee, John Newmar (?) assisted my father with contacting AAA. My dad was there for several hours while waiting for them. David repeatedly came out to check on him, making sure he was safe and ok during this wait. I don't have enough words to say how appreciative I am of this great act. This is the first time I have visited this Lowe. The reason I visited here because the Lowe next to our home run out of water softener cleaner. This Lowe does not have it either. Instead I went to buy the air filter for the AC unit and the weed killer. Lowe always have the high quality and high performance filter that can filter the air allergen. Especially for Floridian, we need this filter for spring blooming and September hays season. The people work in Lowe is very helpful. They always ask if I find my items I need while I was at the aisle looking. They can point to good direction for the items I need. read more

While trying to find some flora and fauna for our Irma devastated yard, we decided to check out this Lowe's location and I'm glad that we did! It's located on the north side of Ulmerton just west of Seminole in Largo. The garden area was tidy and offered a wide variety of the flowering plants that we were looking for. They had a great Spring assortment to choose from. We have a Lowe's that is closer to the house but I admit that driving the extra distance for a better quality of plants is probably worth it. read more

Probably the worst store I've had the displeasure to deal with! Ordered bifold closet doors in May 23. They were installed on 6/5/23 but were damaged and defective. I called 6/7, 12, 15 and they said they're scheduling a replacement. On 6/26 I was called by the installer and he said he was going to pick up the doors and come to install them. A little while later he called and said the doors were out of stock. I called Largo Lowe's and they said they're coming in in 3 days and will have them installed immediately. No calls so I called on 7/6 and was told the doors were back in stock and would have them installed immediately. No calls regarding installation so I called 7/10 and could not get anyone to answer the phone. I tried 5 times and were disconnected without anyone answering! I went in to purchase a dishwasher as Memorial Day sales were going on. I easily found a salesman standing with his phone not doing anything who did ask me if he could help me. I told him I had a really old dishwasher and asked him what was new in dishwashers. To that he replied "i don't know I guess they wash dishes." My wife wanted to exchange two flood lights bulbs because we had just purchased them and one was burnt out. All we wanted was to exchange them. A male employee who's in his 60's gray hair and glasses working at the register went on about how you can't shake the bag and other nonsense. My wife told him there not busted they didn't work. Now he rolls his eyes. She told him several times all she wants is to exchange the bulbs. He insisted one giving her money back. This guy was very rude with smart ass remarks and facial expressions and Not Customer Service. I will get his name when I go back. Most employees in the store are very nice people and other Lowe's I've been in. How many times have I bought something at Lowe's only to find out when I get home that it's missing some parts or otherwise has already been used?! It happened again today. I bought a tile nipper to make some small cuts in ceramic tile. When I got home and started my project I noticed a small slice in the hard plastic cover, a stray staple holding the two halves of the packaging together, and then I noticed (before I opened it) that the sharp ends of the cutter were discolored, which could only mean one thing - someone else previously purchased it, used it, and returned it to the store! Aargh!!! Lowe's got me again! Now I have to schlep it back to the store and exchange it for a (hopefully) brand new tool. There really ought to be a law that prevents retailers from passing off used stuff as new. I'd love to see the local sheriff take the Lowe's store manager out in handcuffs for a perp walk. That would serve them right! Shame on me for not noticing it was "repackaged" when I bought it, but should we really have to do that with everything we purchase? I went in looking for a frost blanket for my plants. The lady in the Garden Center at the cash register was very nice and tried to get someone to help. She called over and over and 4 different people said they would get it. Excuse after excuse. It was too high and needed a fork lift. they didnt have a key to the gate. They couldnt do it without help. After 20 minutes of excuses I could see the young kids working there didnt care by their remarks and it just wasnt going to get done. One Spanish kid only had glib answers and had no intention of helping. One kid was wearing a darkened full face shield similar to a motorcycle shield and looked more like he was a terrorist than an employee. Lowes has really gone down hill. They all blame covid still and a lack of working employees. Here at Christmas you would think the attitude of helping would exist but not with the new society. I went to Home Depot and purchased it with no problem. I did call to report it to a store manager and after waiting for ten minutes on the phone I finally got someone that said the manager was gone but he was a department manager and would walk back to check on these issues. Very disappointed with Lowe's. I ordered a new refrigerator on January 21st. When I placed this order, I was told the delivery service for appliances through Lowe's was now done by a 3rd party service. Lowe's no longer delivers the appliances. Being that Lowe's does not actually deliver the appliances they sell did not really surprise me since most places no longer want to do much outside of just making sales. There is less liability, cost, and responsibility by having another service do the deliveries for them. Although this was something I have almost come to expect, having a 3rd party deliver my refrigerator was something an inner voice told me wasn't probably going to go well. It turns out I should have listened to my instinct. The salesperson told me the delivery service would call the night before to provide a time frame of when the refrigerator would be delivered and then they would also call again a half-hour before delivery. The night before the delivery I did get a call at about 7:30pm letting me know the refrigerator would be delivered between 2pm and 6pm the following day. Typical no service 4-hour window as usual and I just accepted this and scheduled to be home for the day since 4 hours was half the day anyway. I waited on the delivery day. 2pm came and went. Then, it was 4pm. Finally, it was about 5:40pm and there had not been any delivery, phone call or update (I even signed up for text updates from the 3rd party delivery service). Realizing that my refrigerator was likely not going to be delivered I called the 3rd party service that was handling the transport of my new refrigerator. The first number I called just told me the delivery was canceled and they would have to transfer my call. The second person I spoke to said Lowe's themselves rescheduled my order and I would need to talk to the store to see what was going on. I tried calling the Lowe's store and no human ever picked up the phone. The call kept being transferred back to the robotic department shuffle so I decided to make the drive to Lowe's to see what was going on. After all, I just spent over $1000 with them and no one could tell me what was occurring with my purchase. When I got to Lowe's, I spoke with the same salesperson that sold me the refrigerator. I explained the delivery problem. She looked up the order and did not understand why the refrigerator was not delivered. A manager was then called over to explain the order was updated by Lowe's the day before stating delivery would be on Saturday, January 25th and not Thursday the 23rd. The manager then went on to tell me I should have been contacted with the update, but the person that usually does it was on vacation. Being understandable I explained to the store manager I realize things happen, but I now waited a day for a refrigerator to arrive. This was time out of my day and schedule. There did not seem to be any consideration for Lowe's making a mistake. The communication from the manager was that a mistake was made and the refrigerator should be arriving on Saturday. Since my time was wasted without any consideration I asked if there was any type of discount I could receive on the order. The manager told me that she would have to check into it. She did not have the authority to offer a concession on the purchase. After getting hardly any consideration or respect for my time and being that my $1100 purchase did not seem important to Lowe's, I told the manager I wanted to return the refrigerator and I would be making the purchase someplace else. It was just not worth the hassle any longer. There was no attempt to save me as a customer or the sale. I was just told the customer service counter was located upfront. It seems that many companies no longer provide any type of quality customer service and Lowe's is no exception. There is a reason many of the big retail chains are no longer reliable for quality or service. Because Lowe's now seems to import everything they sell at a low-quality low cost to improve the bottom line and shareholder profits, their customer service is not far behind. It also is lacking in quality. As a consumer and customer, I am very disappointed in Lowe's. For this reason, I will be looking to make any larger purchases in the future from businesses that provide both quality and service. This might even mean that I pay slightly more to be respected as a customer, which I don't mind. What you have to know Lowe's is that price is not everything. If you do not start treating your customers better, they will find another place to shop just like me. read more

Not even worth the 1 star truthfully. I am looking for kitchen cabinets so I went to Lowe's to get an estimate. I had already measured my cabinets 3 times as well as my friend who is going to install them. Made sure to add spacers where needed, gave myself an extra inch where needed, etc. Then when I asked the man in Kitchens if he could make me a 3D image of what I had on my diagram he told me that he would not do anything until I have his contractor come out and remeasure everything and that would take up to 2 weeks. Then it would take him another week to get me a 3D image drawn up. When I showed him that I had already figured out how many feet and inches my floor space was and how many cabinets that I would need and the measurements of each one he added up the space and miscounted the area. And, then without even asking which cabinets I wanted installed he told me that it would cost $15,000.00. I have already gotten 2 other estimates and they are $6,100.00 and $5,200.00. What it really boils down to is the man does not want to do the job that he is paid to do. It took an hour for a lady at Home Depot to make me up a 3 D image of my kitchen and figure out sizes of cabinets needed. read more

I would give zero stars if that were an option. We started what should have been a quick project to put in some cabinets back in April. Lowe's measurer came, mapped out our project and we proceeded. Paid upfront for cabinets and they were delivered after some delay. In the meantime we got an electrician in to run wires for the required lighting and power needs. When the installers came we found out that the cabinets had been incorrectly measured so our electrical work was in the wrong place and the cabinets did not fit the space so we had to return all of the materials. Then we dealt with radio silence from the store manager on trying to get new materials and installation. I tweeted and finally got someone to get back to us. In the end we cancelled our order and the refunded all but the "non-refundable" measurement costs. Flew down from New York for our new stove delivery based upon a conversation two days ago with the store that delivery would be today. I just called to ask if there would even be an ETA since no once called as they were supposed to. Was told by Bob "oh no one is coming the stove didn't come in yesterday" which seems odd that they would commit to deliver an item that isn't in stock then never call to say it wasn't coming. Not even an apology, just silence when I asked why I was told it was there to be delivered and silence when I asked why I had to call them to find this out. Also, this is the SECOND time it happened so I knew enough to ask that they confirm they had it all set for delivery when I scheduled this. Apparently the people at Lowe's feel this is ok. I could write a book on the problems we had with Lowes and their subcontractor BC Peabody. For starters, our 8-12 week kitchen renovation project took approximately 1 year to complete and we were completely without a working kitchen for 9 months. BC Peabody rarely showed up when scheduled, sent day laborers with no tools or experience, and left us with a sagging ceiling because their engineers determined that it was okay to remove a load bearing wall. Then we had the pleasure of fighting with Lowes' "insurance company" for another year about the sagging ceiling which they concluded wasn't an insurance issue. After this the local Lowe's store, Corporate Customer Support, and Lowes' insurance division refused to talk to us. In conclusion, Lowes designed the project poorly, BC Peabody executed the project poorly and left our house in disrepair, and Lowe's washed their hands of it. read more

This is an email to LOWES CORPORATE. I will start off by saying I have always preferred Lowes over Home Depot. I have spent a lot of money over the years at Lowes. The store I usually go to is store #1701 11101 Ulmerton Rd, Largo, FL 33778. I had the world's worst customer service that I have ever had yesterday afternoon. I was returning some items that I have had in my garage for a while that has never been used or installed Etc. It has been over 90 days and I was honest about this and gave them my card as I didn't have the receipt. The woman at the return desk said there is nothing they can do about it. (basically, sorry about your luck!) I said look there is nothing wrong with the items and all I want is to get a store credit. I had changed my mind about the design of the plumbing project I was doing and was going to buy more and different items at this store. She just said sorry can't help you, not even offering to get a manager. I went to the next room over and asked for a manager, one came over. he told me the same thing that it is over 90 days sorry can't help you and walked away. So i decided to look at the return policy which does state that needs to be returned prior to 90 days. I have never had a problem returning or exchanging anything before. All I wanted to do was get a credit and spend more money at the store. So then I look at the lost receipt policy LOWES POLICY FOR LOST RECEIPT In most instances, your receipt can be retrieved by using the original credit card, checking account number, My Lowe's card or by your phone number. For returns without a valid receipt, Lowe's, at its discretion, may issue in-store credit for the item's current selling price. I went back to the manager and told him that I looked at the return policy and there is a lost receipt policy that says at Lowes discretion, I could get a store credit. This way I am not stuck with Items i cannot use and I will be spending more money at your store. He looked at me in and said (in a condescending way), you already told me it was over 90 days. I said so if I had lied to you and said I lost my receipt, that I could have gotten a credit? Yes, he says, I could not believe what I was hearing! Can you explain to me the logic behind this? He did not even bother to say, hey let me help you out and see what I can do. Maybe look at MY LOWES account and see the money I spend there. I probably could have told him that I am a Superintendent for a large Commercial General Contractor that spends quite a bit of money at both Lowes and Home Depot all over the state of Florida! I was extremely livid and unhappy with my experience! I walked out of the store went across the street to Home Depot and spent $116 on plumbing materials and had great customer service to boot! Went to Loews a couple weeks ago only to find they were not mandating masks so left and went to DIY. The Loews manager said that they would be mandating masks in the future because of the Governor's announcement. Went back this week and saw someone entering without a mask. When I questioned an employee I was told that they were not stopping people without masks. I stayed and found no other customers without masks. However I did find several employees wearing masks below their mouths and noses. I asked one "merchandiser " to please put on her mask and she was not happy with me. Please be careful at Loews as VC infection rates are spiking and management and employees are not taking the mandates seriously. read more

Just to find out that day of delivery they just weren't going to show up or inform us that that don't even have the oven we ordered anymore and our other appliances wouldn't be ready until another week later. So we go into the store today to try and figure out the issue with the oven and now they don't even have the fridge we bought!!! This is unbelievable. My Fiance and I ordered appliances on our credit card and they charged us twice. I called and they said it was a pending charge and it would fall off after the pending delivery was completed. However, this prevented me from being able to pay my other bills that were due that day, plus the customer service agent on the phone lacked in customer service skills and was of not much help. There should be no need for a consumer to have to provide security for a large corporation on a "pending delivery order". Disappointed in Lowes. I was going to buy cabinets from Lowes and my refrigerator for the rest of my kitchen remodel, however now I am now steering towards a different company like Home Depot. Years ago I was a fan of Lowes, not over the past 2-3 years. Home Depot is the absolute best for customer service. There's always a knowledgeable person available to help. Recently I was returning an item at Lowes my husband a bought before he passed away. I got a store credit, which I was not thrilled with, hut it was something. I figured I would buy some paint. The guys at the paint center were under staffed and not clear about the products. I asked for a quart of paint. The cost would be about $12. The guy made me a gallon and said I could have it for $15. Can you imagine, they screw up and want to charge me more! Because I wanted to get the hell out of there I said fine. Getting ready to paint, the color looks more pink than red. I bought a washer, delivery promised after a week, with a phone call the day before and few hours before they show up. 2 weeks later, no phone calls, no delivery. I tried calling the store, they don't pick up the phone at all! I had to physically to go to the store to get info. The customer service rep is so rude, told me dismissively to go to appliance department because she cannot tell me anything. The appliance associate is equally dismissive and a "I don't care attitude". Go to Home depot, they are more willing to help.
