With so many pawn shops open, it took time (and a bad experience or two) to finally find my way to Cash America. The staff is very professional and each of the employees work hard to give the person pawning their possessions what they need and ask for. While I was never guaranteed anything, I always seemed to end up at or very close to the figure that I needed. All in all, it has been a painless process, with team leaders like Brad and Kevin helping to guide me through the process. While some shops give you a ten or twenty percent loan based partially on the value of the items, Cash America has consistently given me the best deal. Combined with the customer service provided, I always have left feeling good. I trust this shop completely, as when I went back to claim my stuff, it was organized well and easy to find, plus it has always been in the same shape that I left it - if not better. Choosing any other pawn shop was a mistake and I am grateful to know now that I am in good hands at Cash America. Highly recommended for leaving items as collateral for a cash loan. There is no better shop in Pinellas County.

Several different managers (as it has never been the same manager twice), keep repeating " I apologize" and " how can I make it right", and my only response has been and continues to be to ask that they walk the talk of their mission statement of: "the roots and foundation of work ethic, customer first focus, & having a servants heart" at the core of Fred Thomas's business with current and future customers. We've been using Pinch a Penny Largo for 12 plus years because they lived up to that responsibility. In May of 2025 that changed. For the past year the pool is used daily as an integral part of rehab, therapy, health maintence, and quality of life. It continues to be. In May 2025 I purchased a new pump and filter and payed for installation. That's when I first started hearing " I/ someone will call you". I went back after about a week of no one calling to pick up my system so I could have someone else put it in as it sat in the same spot in the store. I was told I couldn't do that. After speaking to yet another manager, that's when I started hearing " I apologize" "how can I make this right", "I don't know anything about this", "I'll speak to David about this", that manager set up install for the next day. It was the day before Thanksgiving 2025 and the pump they installed in May, which was still under warranty, was failing. I went to the store and spoke to David (who installed the pump) about what I needed to do to address. He said "since it was under warranty he will order a new one that should come on the next truck on Wednesday and he will call when it comes in". All I need to do "is pay for install". I asked if he could come look at it. He said he didn't want to. "He'll look at it when he comes to do install" No one has ever called. I have called or gone into the store once a week since then, each time being told "No pump, it should be on next week's truck. Someone will call you". I went to the store Jan 8 2026 to ask again, and for the 1st time an honest staff shared what I already knew to be true." No pump was ever going to be on any truck because it was never ordered". In sum, were they disingenuous at best? or shameless lying that continued for weeks? For how long? As I stated at the beginning of this, I shared this with the manager of that day. I shared that I had set up for my pool to be fixed the day after it wasn't on the 1st truck (only down less than a week) because I wanted someone who cared like they used to, not the attempt at temporary appeasement rather than a real resolution. We all work hard for our money. Doesn't everyone deserve to be valued and treated with respect where and when we spend it? Unlike some stores, anyone can just walk in and shop at a GFS store. And unlike some other stores, they carry some fresh fruit, vegetables, and some dairy and meat items in home prices. I especially love their croutons and bacon bits. The croutons come in two types, and are great in quality and price. Their bacon bits are frankly amazing. Not only is the quality and price great, the individual pieces are much larger than you find in grocery stores. Truly one of my favorite places to shop.

My favorite is a huge bag of frozen fruit because I have some for breakfast on my oatmeal each morning. Vitamin C and delicious! They also have bulk spices and other items like pasta in a huge bag for our famous Mac and Cheese! Life is good!
