She stopped her work and graciously and with enthusiasm jumped up to to lead me to the product. I ordered a large amount of tile on May 1, and was told it could be delivered by May 12. The tile ended up being delayed a few days but I was blown away by the outstanding customer service I received from Miguel. Miguel went above and beyond to communicate with me to let me know what was going on with my tile delivery. We had a very pleasant experience shopping for tile, backsplashes, etc for the home we are remodeling! We have been various places where you could not find a human body to help or even ask a question. Not the case here. Drew approached us soon after we arrived & guided us through all the areas needed to fulfill our needs. He was extremely helpful & also gave on-site as to which tiles would be good for shower floors, walls, kitchen backsplashes, and even our lanai selections. We really thought the displays were equally easy to view & see the finishes & textures. I was wandering around the beautiful store with so many options to choose from - and must have had a glazed look in my eye. Jami (an assistant manager) said hello and gave me the opportunity to pester her with questions. She helped me find what I was looking for, provided helpful tips to share with my installers (to make sure the job is done right), and loaded up boxes of lovely tile onto my cart (which she brought over to me). She didn't hover but let me browse at my own pace, then checked on me occasionally to see if I had any more questions (which of course I did). Everyone I came into contact with was friendly, helpful, and made this a great experience. What a cool diy store! The wood floor and tile selections are vast, the stock is massive and they have the tools and everything else you need to lay the floor from thin set to grout and sealer. The associates will help you determine how much tile to purchase and if it is too much, returns of a single tile will be refunded. Every time I have been in the store I have not had any problem finding someone to help me, be it decision making or finding and gathering items needed for a job. Tonight was no exception and Tiffany stuck with me the during the entire process, going yet another mile finding me a clearance item that had been stored away and almost forgotten about. She accompanied us to check out and out to the car. If you are going to remodel your current flooring, a bathroom or kitchen yourself, I highly recommend this store! read more

Our first floor got flooded and we used Floor and Decor to purchase our new tile flooring. I chose them over a full service flooring shop because we got a better price. I wouldn't do it again. The hassle we had to endure was not worth the few thousand dollars we saved. First of all, if you go to the store, you have to sign up and wait for a member of the "design team" to help you. Sometimes they find you, sometimes they don't. There is no one really there to explain to you how their system works. We left the store frustrated. We then got called by different designers over the next few days. The designer was helpful when we finally saw her. But Floors and Decor does not do install. They work with a third party vendor. THEY do not coordinate this. This is YOUR responsibility. So now we're dealing with two parties. The installation company comes out and gives an estimate. Then YOU have coordinate everything between the installation guy and Floors and Decor. THEN, there is another company that handles the delivery. You must communicate with this company as well. Finally, when the crew shows up to do the work, YOU have to communicate directly with the crew chief. We had several boxes of tile delivered broken. The crew chief calls ME at work. What should they do? How do I know!? I'm not a tile guy. I had to call the store, work my way through the phone system and wait for somebody to call me back, coordinate the tile replacement and give all of the contractor information so he could go pick it up. The next day he calls me again. They didnt deliver enough clips. Could I LEAVE WORK and go down and PICK UP MORE CLIPS so they could finish the job?! I did. On the third day he calls me again. The baseboards were not delivered. AGAIN, it is MY responsibility to call Floor and Decor because these two companies do not communicate directly. I was told by my "design consultant" at Floor and Decor and they do not deliver baseboards because they dont fit on the truck. Funny they didnt mention this when I bought them. She tells me I will have to come pick them up. So, they won't fit on their semi-truck but somehow, this lady thinks they are going to fit on top of my car? Finally, I told the work crew to just leave it. I'll hire my own contractor to pick up the baseboards and install them. On a brighter note, they did do a good job of installing and we saved a few grand. But for me, it was not worth the hassle. I could have gone with another company and signed the contract and not had to worry about another thing until the job was done. This company may be good for contractors or people with alot of time and patience. But for me, it was a negative experience. read more

This store is massive and I am really impressed with the selection. They had a lot of on trend tile for great prices. I am looking for fireplace tile, and kitchen backsplash, and it's helpful to shop for both in the same store so I can put things together in my head and run back and forth! There were plenty of salespeople working for a weekday morning, and were happy to help but not to intrusive. One lady said it helps to come back a few times and see things, so I'm not overwhelmed (because of the number of options). The store is convenient, right of US19, next to the Phillies stadium. There is ample parking. Next time I go I will pick up a few samples to bring home with me. read more

I'm writing to express my disappointment with the customer service I recently received at your Clearwater location on 10/14/24. This was my very first time in this store. The level of service provided fell short. Specifically, store manager Brian and cashier Lorenda denied a sample tile (#1) return due to the cardboard under the tile being slightly wet. Original packing and plastic was intact/closed/not opened. After two hurricanes back to back, and store closure I was not able to return sooner. Lorenda lacks customer care skills and was verbally aggressive "I don't have all day to argue. I'm not going to return your money. This is crap. Would you buy it if you see it in the shelf". I asked for store credit instead and she also denied that. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and take steps to improve the customer experience in the future and increase sympathy towards your clients. I believe your store has the potential to offer excellent service, and I hope to have a better experience on my next visit. read more

I have a BIG project that I have changed the selections up on several times... enough to drive any person working there crazy. When I tell her I have a different idea she just smiles and get right to it. She is passionate about this which helps a lot, and we talk through not just the flooring but also cabinet ideas that will work so it all flows. But what I like best and why I give it 5 stars is the exceptional service we experienced in our recent visit. And it wasn't just from one person. Every associate we encountered was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. In such a large store with lots of customers milling around it is refreshing to feel like you are appreciated. We are very satisfied with the merchandise we bought. Since they also have all the tools you need to do it yourself, it is very much a one-stop shopping experience. Floor & Decor is an excellent business. We recently purchased wood flooring and a back splash from them and had a terrific experience from start to finish. They even had offered to pick up some extra materials we needed on their own time and bring it to the store for us. When we were uncertain about the selection, they offered their opinion when asked and were able to answer all the questions we had. The store is packed with inventory. There are so many choices on their tile that you can spend the day there. Great place, great service. read more

Terrible customer service. Had 6 unopened boxes of engineered hardwood flooring to return that was more than 90 days since I purchased them. I called the pro desk and they said no problem we will give you store credit. I said ok, went down to the store and started the return process. The cashier had to call the store manager to confirm p, in which he said no problem, store credit. So while they were taking care of the return I loaded up a couple of thousand dollars worth of merchandise for my next client. When I went to cash out the manager told me they couldn't honor the return stating he would loose his job. So after some back and forth I told the manger to keep the floors and I also didn't make the new purchase. They just lost a customer who spends $30k - $50k per year. Not the fist incident this year with Floor & Decor but definitely the last. read more

Came in today to purchase tile for my 2 bathroom renovation. Had to get floor and wall tile. When I walked in I realized I had a lot of work ahead of me - picking, matching and getting everything needed. Right away I found Chris and she help me... FOR 2 HOURS!! Chris was really on it. She didn't miss anything. She even helped me pick the right things to match... Like I had my own interior designer. What a great experience, what care and attention. I never felt like I was inconveniencing her. When things I liked were out of my budget she found me alternatives. Also the store has great selection And one tile I wanted didn't have everything I needed so they called the store in Saint Pete and pulled the stock for me. read more

A contractor worked on our neighbor's house recommended this home improvement store. We are glad he did that. We are in process of DIY to replace our floors. Although both hubby and I are ambitious souls, but we still rely on suggestion from pros who knows how to select proper materials and give guidance on installation. It was our lucky day that we walked into the store and met one of their salesman Rick who was a professional floor contractor before he works for the shop. I have never met a person so knowledgeable and detailed about how to install floors. He went from how to pick the underline material, pro and con of floor materials, sequences to lay the wood, and cost. He even mentioned to pay attention on the light source that reflects on the floor surface. He spent 40 minutes with us to ensure we are informed. What an educational trip. Rick saved us a lot of time and money. It is great to work with a perfectionist. Hubby went back several time to ask his suggestions. Rick has answered all questions. I think we are going to materialize our ambition very very soon. The store is mid-size and well managed. We took 3 pieces of samples home that day and store manager gave us for free. I highly recommend this store to anyone who is thinking about home improvement project. read more

BEWARE!! I have zero complaints about Floor and Decor, my wife and I used the Clearwater branch and two others in the area to purchase items we needed for our renovation. Everyone in the stores were helpful, professional and knowledgable. Where we WARN you is to stay clear of the company that they recommend 'installation made easy' for installation unless you take our tips for success. 1. Insist that EVERYONE who enters your home has had a criminal background check and that they have gone through all the checks that they do for the GC's that they recommend. 2. Insist that the contractor signs a work schedule for your job. For example starts at 8am and finishes at 5pm. Commits to that, as well as confirms in writing how long the job will take. That way you're not employing someone that does a five hour day and then for two of those hours disappears to find somewhere to fax a quote for his next job!! 3. Insist that ALL the people in your home have at least 2 years laying flooring so you're not stuck with people who have NEVER done the job before! 4. Insist that everyone wears ID badges as they are REQUIRED to do so. We FIRED our installer after the first day and now it had cost us time and money to find someone else. Our advice use Floor and Decor they are great, but find yourself a highly recommend installer unless 'installation made easy' are willing to improve their screening processes. read more

The install was okay not exceptional but the price they charged us was way over market value.
