My boyfriend and I came into this store on a Tuesday evening. We had never been to this mall before and just wanted to window shop before we went to the park across the street. We were immediately greeted by a nice man and then as we were just looking at stuff an older man came and stood behind us and didn't say anything. I thought it was fine because we were wearing sweatpants and probably gave off a weird vibe. Then later after we had looked at a few more stuff he came behind us again and when i turned around he gave us a bratty smirk and didn't say anything to us. he was wearing a william sonoma badge so i knew he worked there. he made us extremely uncomfortable and I literally had a small purse on me so idk how we were supposed to be "stealing" if that's the vibe he got. Not the way you treat people coming into the store. Sorry if we looked "poor" to you but we're not and won't be spending our money at this store read more

Spoke with Rudolfo, a manager, over the phone to see if they had a specific grill I wanted to give out due to their online fraud department cancelling my order without notice. He had a couple of them and offered to set them aside till I could drive in to pick them up. Answered all of my questions with kindness. Turned out, their other location in Seattle had the quantity I needed, so I didn't need to drive out to Bellevue after all. I like WS and the products they offer are great. read more

Not gonna lie, most things in this store can be bought of equal quality (some same brands) but way cheaper elsewhere - so not sure why it's so hyped up. It's fancy and nice for sure, with beautiful displays... but unnecessary. So many items in there one does not need. Like Chinese new year items ranging from napkin holders to chopsticks and plates that cost easily from $40 for the tiny things, to over a hundred for the larger pieces. I would suggest buying these things at an authentic locally owned shop, to support a small business owner and get it for cheaper at the same time. Do it for the brand, I suppose, but most kitchen items I'd rather acquire elsewhere. Fun to look around though! read more

We purchased outdoor the Lanarca Teak Outdoor furniture and with 10 months of use, they are completely falling apart. These chairs were over $2k each and their quality is absolutely unacceptable. Williams-Sonoma refused to refund or replace. They are the worst company I have ever had this type of encounter with. I will never purchase anything from Williams-Sonoma again and I recommend you stay FAR away from this company. read more

This store has a good selection for how small this location is as well. Downside, you have to park and walk through Bellevue mall. Which is always a madhouse. read more

Years ago I worked for Williams Sonoma in the San Francisco Bay Area. Williams Sonoma always stood above most other retail stores. The customer service was top notch, there were high expectations for employees (dress code, greeting customers, carrying high end products and standing behind them, and providing excellent customer service). As a newish resident of Washington, I was thrilled to find Williams Sonoma here. I walked in. No one greeted me. I browsed around for about 15 minutes. No employee ever asked if I needed help or ever acknowledged me. There were 4 or 5 employees, wearing jeans and t-shirts, laughing and talking loudly behind the register area. It sounded like a cocktail party. I never found what I was looking for. Chuck Williams would not be happy. Corporate should not be happy. Where are the expectations? Where is the customer service? You can't expect to sell high end products with zero customer service. read more

Though I always feel out of place and like a rather suspicious character when browsing at this store, Williams Sonoma is a delight. Though just about everything is above my price range, I had a gift card to spend. Over the course of two trips - in which I wandered the store, terrified by the prices and uncertain about the selection etiquette - I bought a beautiful bundt pan, two honeycomb dessert plates, and the most expensive whisk I've ever had. The employees at Williams Sonoma are very very friendly and attentive. They would have been more than willing to make suggestions or help me pick out everything I needed, had I let them. I will probably not return to this store - it's thirty miles away, and I can't afford to buy anything without a gift card - but I loved shopping there! read more

I've shopped at Williams Sonoma for 20+ years. They've always been great at customer service. Today I learned that about a year ago they changed their return policy and no longer allow returns on items that have been used. I bought a coffee maker and it didn't keep the coffee hot. I took it back in to WS and explained the problem. They told me sorry no exceptions on this. Can you believe that! Almost every high end store provides a reasonable return policy. I think this was a misstep for them and won't be shopping there anymore. Literally they've lost a lifelong customer over a $70 return on something I bought two weeks ago! Unbelievable! read more

This was my first time at Williams Sonoma and I am extremely happy with my purchases and visit! I went looking for some new pans and knives, but I wasn't entirely sure what it was I was looking for. Two people really helped my first visit feel extremely nice and personalized. Thank you both for your help today :) Both Sally (helped with pots and pans) and Jackie (helped with knives) were super attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about the different types of cookware available at Williams Sonoma. They both displayed tons of options that they felt were a good option for me, discussed what different cookware uses were, and helped me with the budget I was on. The low rating is for poor customer service. I ordered flatware that amounted to 12 six-piece place settings (three 20-piece sets plus 12 steak knives) costing around $700 with tax and shipping. I like the flatware but they shorted me one teaspoon. This item is in open stock in the store but they did not have teaspoons in stock so, since I did not see any way on the website to order one piece of the design I wanted, I called the customer service number to let them know about the missing teaspoon and thought I would order several more for good measure. The representative told me that the only way to get the missing teaspoon was to return a whole 20-piece set and get a replacement one in return. No way to just make up the one they shorted me. I am not going to go to all that trouble so I will just carry on with 11 teaspoons. read more

I frequent this place and bought a lot of small appliances to cutlery and kitchen essential There's no excuse for wusthof knife rep to be curt even though you are not Williams-Sonoma employee your job is to promote the product and treat the customers with respect and be professional. We put up with her attitude and feel that she really needs training We purchased the carving knife set which was not available in store and had to be ordered online. The sales clerk was trying to assist us with the merchandise and she was having difficulty with the computer system and of course she also missed the shipping address resulting to extra waste of our time. Very Bad Customer service from Manager Jessica 6/20/2022. Trying to buy Nespresso Vertuoplus with Frother. Went to Macys Nespresso Bellevue to purchase one but they are out of stock . All Nespresso is having a coffee machine sale for 25% off. The Nespresso manager adviced me to go to William Sonoma as they will price match it as she called to verify and they have a stock. She gave me the item code, price, nespreso manager telephone number so if they have any questions. Went to William Sonoma on the 2nd floor and won't price match it. Same item and won't price match- sadly she's even the manager. She is not an up to standard william Sonoma Manager. FYI William Sonoma policy they do price match. But manager insisted not to. Needs to be trained more please or needs to be highly supervised. I give a NO Star very poor service on this one. read more

I'm so glad Williams-Sonoma shops are in the USA. That way, I can't buy too much due to weight and customs restrictions on taking stuff home. Also, my credit card won't catch fire! Hehe I adore cookshops and despite the fact I won't be able to purchase stuff, I still love browsing through the cookware, the gadgets, the cookbooks, the marinades & rubs, the cooking knives, in fact just about everything. I've even been lucky enough to catch a few cookery demonstrations that they run in-store sometimes. On my latest trip in June, I treated myself to Thomas Keller's kit for all natural fried chicken. The kits contains a brining solution, which is the step I had been missing in all my previous attempts with fried chicken. Then, double dip into buttermilk and the coating mixture from the kit before deep frying to produce yummy chicken with flavoured tender meat and crunchy skin read more

One of my tricks for getting my husband to go with me into the mall and to keep him happy is to swing by Williams-Sonoma for one of their cooking demo snacks! One time we stepped in here they had omelets complete with avocado and tomato which he just LOVED; I doubt they can top that, but if anyone at W-S is reading this, my husband is definitely willing to try out any of the tasty samples you have to offer! This store is well organized and has a good selection of cookbooks which I love to peruse. There are also a lot of beautiful pots and pans as well as cooking utensils and such. The service is as expected and I'm used to being greeted and asked if I need assistance as I progress around the shop. Sometimes you can find a bargain with sale items, but otherwise expect to pay for the good quality of items. read more

This store in Bellevue Square mall is really cool with all its nifty kitchen and dining supplies, but the service folks here have always struck me as rather snotty. Barely an acknowledgement when I walk in. I do like Williams and Sonomas "kitchen essentials" wall that consists of cute gadgets that are essential, like measuring spoons, tea balls, spatulas, pastry blender, etc. This section tends to be a lot cheaper than the other fancy appliances that the rest of the store has. read more

This store is ridiculous! First they shipped an item months late and were closed and when they opened they expected everyone to flock over during covid to return - when they were so late on even sending the product. The lady at the store refused to even give store credit which to me for a high end store is a no no. My hard earned money will never be in the hands of Williams- Sonoma. On January 18, 2019 at about 10:30 am I went to this Williams-Sonoma to return a purchase made online. When I entered the store a woman greeted me and asked if I had to return I answered yes and she began the transaction. Oblivious this return was a new thing for the her and she asked help from another person, who I later found out was named Byron and was an assistant manager. While the cashier was asking this assistant manager for help he continuously acted like she was bothering him and responded to her with short and very condescending answers but in truth the only thing he was busy with was trying to charge his phone and drink his frappuccino. While the cashier was struggling with this transaction he decided to just leave her to figure it out herself and went to the back. It wasn't until a different employee came out on the floor that this return was processed. I was so shocked in seeing this that I had to ask the cashier who this person was and what was his name and role. The way he acted I though maybe was his first day. This is where I discovered that he was an assistant manager. I was the only customer in the store. I couldn't understand why he just didn't do the transaction and let her watch as a learning experience or maybe stand next to her and coach her instead attempting to humiliate her in front of customers. This is exactly the reason I don't go in this store often as I have had experienced similar customer service challenges here in the past. This was an online purchase. Williams-Sonoma needs to wake up and realize that customer service is what it's all about, look around at how many other brick-and-mortar stores have closed and how many went bankrupt last year they need to get it together and realize before it's too late for them. I don't Know if William Sonoma reads this or even cares about what customer write as I haven't seen any responses by this business but if they care about the longevity of their business they probably should start majorly concentrating on hiring quality people and on training soft skills and customer service skills. If I was Williams-Sonoma I would be ashamed and embarrassed to have my brand represented in such a poor way. read more

Be very careful buying anything on sale with William Sonoma. Two times now I have ordered items and then down the road I get an email saying that they actually don't have the item. One of the items I purchased required me to buy pillow inserts for from Williams-Sonoma (unique pillow size). The inserts arrived and I opened them up to air out but then I got the email that no pillowcase would arrive. The quality of their products is very high; however, do not trust that you will actually get any items if they are on sale. Now I can either deal with the hassle of packing up those pillow inserts and shipping them back or just keep them. Super irritating. One time bothered me but twice is definitely not OK. read more

My general sentiment toward Bellevue Square is that I would rather eat glass than to spend more than an hour there but for Williams-Sonoma, I always make an exception. Every time I walk in here, without fail, I get a furious boner. This store is so sexual filled with so much culinary porno, I could drop pants in between the section with the food processors and knives and start gyrating my hips in the middle of the room. Everything about Williams-Sonoma is impeccable and aesthetically alluring. From the minute that I set my eyes on the logo, I am compelled to walk in and explore. I am in love with the way the store is laid out, presented, and packaged for the consumer. It's polished and organized extremely well, particularly with the cash registers being right in the middle of the store. I know it's all a big sham to get hopeless culinary romantics like myself to notice certain tools in order to sell but like I give four tits about it. I can easily spend a whole day here wandering and browsing their entire collection, neglecting errands and forgetting the 14-year-olds artificially tanned in October that pollute and grow like malignant tumors in Bellevue. I love their dish sets, kitchen decor, tools, Cuisinart, all-clad cookware, Le Creuset, bakeware, the list goes on and on. You can't not love this store. You can't not love their catalog or website, either. You're just not allowed in my book. My favorite time to visit this store is, without a doubt, during Christmas. The Williams-Sonoma brand peppermint bark is something I can't even. I don't even have words, just gibberish and sentence fragments. While not usually a big fan of sweets, I can eat a whole sheet of that peppermint bark in one sitting. Their pre-packaged, canned goods are also impressively good. Not only is this store ingenious but I've had nothing but great experiences with the sales women here. I've always been greeted and approached to asked if I needed any assistance multiple times when I've shopped here. In order to not feel overwhelmed, I will ask a salesperson for ideas or for a specific item. Almost every time, I get into a 30 minute to 1 hour conversation about cookware, recipes, our jobs, recreational hobbies, and then suddenly we are Facebook friends and creating scrapbooks featuring Le Creusets for each other. read more

After I had several poor unresolved customer experience issues where escalation got blocked at the sister U village store, I came to this store to seek their management's help to get in touch with the region leader. It turned out to totally waste more time and effort as they seemed to also totally drop the ball, as there wasn't any timely follow up after this store said they would handle it. I'll just say they've got some great stuff here, including: knives, dishes, pots and pans. Sadly, the quality of associates working within the store doesn't match up to the products. That might've been a little harsh, I can't really comment on the quality of the help since I wasn't acknowledged the entire time I was in the store. No kidding people, I was in the store almost ten full minutes and not a single person came up to see if I needed anything (which I did, the knife set I came to look at was behind locked glass.) I have a love-hate relationship with Williams-Sonoma. Love, because I'm a kitchen freak (You should see the amount of stuff we have in our kitchen.); Hate, because they carry almost everything I want and they are *not* cheap. I find some of their stuff ridiculously overpriced. At the same time, you get a pretty generous return policy too - so I can't fault the company for their higher prices. And really - that's not the fault of the store itself. The service at this store has always been amazing. I have never had issues with returns (with or without the receipt). The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. We've been purchasing a lot of new kitchen appliances and toys lately, and the staff has always been able to answer any questions we have. They don't push any of the products on us - the give us the facts, their experience, and do suggest alternatives ("If you're looking for this, then you may want to look at that other product..."). I like that they are more committed to finding the best product for the customer - even if it's not in their store. The store also has free culinary classes. Nothing fancy (don't expect to actually do the hands-on cooking), but you do get some useful tips and tricks out of it. We went to a turkey class the other night and we learned the difference between the different brining techniques, roasting tips, and got a demo on how to carve a turkey. The cool thing about the class is that they are taught by people who are "home cooks" - not "professional chefs". I loved that the instructor shared her family stories (I mean, this is a class for Thanksgiving, really.) and the different things that she's tried over the years. At the end of the class, we were served a sample turkey with stuffing, gravy, and cranberry. Yum! The all-you-can-eat Holiday season is beginning! read more

Really disappointed with the staff/service here. Walked in with my Fiancé to register for gifts and basically was ignored at the wrap desk for 5 minutes before finally having one of the ladies say they would be with us shortly (they called for another associate). The store wasn't busy and the employee was not helping a customer. Another person arrived and had no idea how to help us - and couldn't even log onto her computer. Eventually after three employees someone logged on and then told us we would type faster and put us behind the keyboard, I had complete access to their secured PC on the network unsupervised... Anyone in IT Security/Privacy can start laughing now. After we finished keying in our info we stood and waited for an employee to acknowledge us. We made eye contact and one person said they would be with us "in a minute", again employees focused on something else and no customers. 10 minutes later of standing we stopped a worker as they walked past us and told them we wanted to leave but didn't want our personal info on the screen. The employee who we had not seen yet apologized and stated she had similar feedback that day from other customers being ignored. I left with the intent to not shop again and absolutely not comfortable knowing that any hacker could have complete access to their systems for such extensive amounts of time without even a second glance from an employee. I won't be registering here after all either, I wouldn't want my friends or family to be at risk. Don't trust them with your info - this is a Target type hacking issue waiting to happen! read more

I was at bell square the other day for more unnecessary items when I tripped over my own dumb feet in front of Williams-Sonoma. Face red, I ducked in to at least hide some of my shame until all witnesses had moved on. Bad idea... Jared + Cooking Supplies = Empty Wallet (throw in the variable of an embarassed brain and solve for x). I keep drooling over copper saucepans and earthenware baking dishes, and the knives - o' the KNIVES. This place has pretty much everything to make you feel bad about that 40pc starter set you bought back in undergrad :( The sauces, mixes, chutneys, &tc are reason alone to come into the store. 45 minutes and the beginnings of a complete kitchen accoutrement overhaul later I left smiling ear to ear... and then tripped again in front of tullys... go me. read more
