I was super nervous and the team at Northgate was very helpful and able to calm my nerves. I went under general anesthesia, and I know reactions are very personal but I was coherent and in my right mind when they read me the post-op care instructions, even though I did have someone there. This tells me they are skilled at giving you the right dosage. I had little pain after surgery and healed quickly and easily with sleep and the medication I was given. Basically no pain by day 3, no bruising on my face. I didn't shop around because Dr. Guo was recommended by my dentist, and I felt very safe that he is a MD as well as a DMD. To me the price with my insurance was reasonable for three teeth and the level of expertise I got. I also wasn't charged for the consultation or the follow up. Highly recommend!

Never in my life have I had to fill out so much paperwork to be seen at a dentist before. The receptionist has no idea what's going on at all. I was contacted an excessive number of times to reschedule my appointment that took hours just for an exam and x-rays. I was told when I showed up that I didn't fill out all the paperwork when I did. I expressed hesitancy even being seen as a patient based on my experience before even walking through the door. Dr. Cho said she contacted me personally to reschedule due to a change in ownership, but it didn't explain the other times I was contacted about things I already submitted. I was told that I have bone loss and would need deep cleanings. I scheduled the cleanings, only for them to be scheduled incorrectly. I was told that the receptionist was new, but I could do a better job myself blindfolded in the dark. They acted like I was the problem when none of the new appointment times they offered me didn't work and I didn't have faith that they would get scheduled correctly again. I ended up going back to my old dentist who disagreed about the bone loss and need for deep cleanings. I also had to contact them multiple times about getting copies of my x-rays, which they tried to send directly to my dentist without proper release of information paperwork filled out, a violation of HIPPA. I also asked for the periochart notes because my old dentist wanted a copy, which I never received and was ignored when asked for multiple times. My experience was abysmal and was so glad that my old dentist took me back. I don't know why customer service was so poor and they couldn't see why I was upset, but I won't be going back.

She knows what needs to be done ASAP, what can wait, and what is not needed - especially over the years I've been her patient I came to know as true, therefore trusted. Going to her office felt almost as if old friends were getting together for a purpose which both added a positive environment and took away most anxiety associated with dental procedures and problems. I highly recommend Dr. Lee and especially Theresa one of the hygienists; Colleen is a competent friendly dental assistant I've often worked with as well. Great chairside manner, professional, well educated, and mindful when dealing with sudden pain that often occurs during procedures.

This experience was years in the making for me…read more I've been on a holistic healing journey, especially with managing my MS, and removing my mercury fillings has been on my bucket list for nearly 9 years. I remember calling Dr. Paul Rubin back then, hoping one day I'd go through with it. I didn't realize until recently that this is the same clinic, now led by Dr. Birrer, and it's even in the same building I work in. It felt incredibly full circle and serendipitous. During my appointment, Goldie and Dr. Birrer were amazing. I have anxiety when it comes to needles, and Dr. Birrer was so gentle, patient, and understanding. He took his time, made sure I was comfortable, and approached everything with such a calm and reassuring energy that completely changed the experience for me. At one point, I had tears rolling down my face, but they were happy tears. I couldn't believe I was finally doing something I had dreamed about for so long, and everything was going so smoothly. It truly felt surreal. And now I can't stop looking at my teeth. I'm honestly in love with them. They look perfect. Dr. Birrer is truly a master of his craft, and it shows in every detail. This was more than just a dental appointment. It was a deeply personal and healing experience. I'm so grateful for the care and compassion I received here. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone. I also got a cleaning here, and Morgan and Lee were incredible. I could literally see the difference in how clean my teeth were.

So... It's uncomfortable to write a negative review because SOME of the staff here are very nice -…read morethe hygienist in particular is very pleasant. But my experience with this dentists office has been overall very negative. First of all, they are not great with kids. My 6 year old was chastised and shamed for not being able to hold still enough for them to paint her teeth with something. Not great, but ok - they are not listed as a pediatric dentist, so maybe that's on us. But then there were other, ongoing issues: 1. As others have noted, it's impossible to get an appointment with them. They are regularly booking 9 months out. It's also VERY hard to reach someone on the phone - they really want you to book through their website. 2. Because of having to book super far in the future, I have had to cancel multiple appointments when the date rolls around. I just can't predict my work schedule etc. Not only is this very hard to do because it's impossible to reach people on the phone, but TWICE I had them charge me a $50 cancelation/ no-show fee because they did not listen to the voice message I left to cancel (because no one answered). 3. The straw that broke the camel's back was this past November, when I got a call on a Thursday evening at 5:30pm checking to see if I would be coming in for a SEVEN AM APPOINTMENT THE NEXT DAY. I had no record of this appointment in my calendar - and unless I was in a fugue state there is no way I would have EVER booked a dentist appointment at 7am. But there was no convincing them that this was an error - bam, another $50 cancelation fee. In addition to all of this scheduling and cancelation drama, I also want to mention that the dentist here has told me some very unusual things about caring for my teeth. She told me, for example, to *try not to let the toothbrush touch my gums?!* I have definitely had other dentists tell me to make SURE to brush my gums.... I am not a dentist, so I don't want to say this is outright wrong... maybe the advice has changed? But... somehow I doubt it.

They only have one hygienist on staff and the 6-month appointments turn into 8 month appointments…read more The hygienist also works super fast and it's the most painful cleanings I've ever gotten at any dentist. I am now getting ortho treatments and nothing about the angel aligners has been explained to me proactively. They didn't explain the attachments, show me any treatment plan or get me connected with clincheck, didn't explain bite ramps. I found all this information out online - or in the case of the attachments, right after they added them to my teeth. Seems like they're mostly interested in selling the product rather than guiding you through the treatment or keeping you informed. I've left voicemails several times and they are never acknowledged. Questions for my ortho and to reschedule appointments. Once my ortho treatments are done I won't be returning if things don't improve.

My mom was in so much pain that Dr. Sarram told her to take 3 ibuprofen & 1 extra Tylenol together every 8 hrs because that combo is STRONGER than a narcotic. Then, when she went to get the root canal on Thurs, the Dr didn't do it because she wasn't in that much pain!! That night, I almost had to take my mom to the ER due to pain. I called Dr. Sarram Friday morning and she couldn't see my mom until Monday because the office was closed and she had to teach at the UW that day! Then she told me to find another dr!!!! We did and Alderwood Endo is great. They performed the procedure that Monday and one of the 3 roots of the molar was already dead which was causing the significant pain. My mother had to suffer 4 extra days of pain and stress to her 80+ yr old liver taking narcotic levels of pain killers because of Dr. Sarram. Do not be her next patient.
