These DDS Ladies are so good I took a nap while having my root canal done. No kidding, some of the best dental work san pain ever. Lovely staff and office setting. All the other patients yesterday were smiling prior to their drill work too(or tooth), rather than cringing. If you need drill work try these folks first, you will not be disappointed. read more

No one wants a root canal. But if you need one, RUN- DON'T WALK - TO SEE DR. COHEN at West Seattle Endodontics. I was petrified of this procedure. Dr. Cohen has excellent bedside manner and talked me through my concerns with pragmatism and empathy. Ultimately, the procedure was completely painless (not exaggerating) and I didn't even have pain the next day. I have never felt more confident in a medical provider. And when you're immobile for 90 minutes, you also pick up on conversations around you... Dr. Cohen guided her tech in a way that was direct and instructive while also being humble and respectful. In this day and age, I am extra happy to take my business to someone who is not just an exceptional clinician but also seems like a good human. If I'd known this was going to be so easy, I wouldn't have waited. So stop worrying about your root canal. Call Dr. Cohen. read more

West Seattle Endodontics is the only dental practice that I will go to for a root canal. I needed an emergency root canal yesterday and asked my regular dentist to be referred back to this clinic. This was my second root canal procedure done by Dr. Rachel Cohen who sincerely cares about my well-being and frequently asked if I was having any discomfort during the procedure. They offer nitrous oxide (for a fee) which helped me to relax. The office staff are all very personable too. read more

I received excellent care from Dr. Cohen and her staff. Dr. Cohen is so caring and kind, not to mention excellent at her endodontic work. I explained that I had a bad experience with another dentist recently, so I was a bit anxious. I was so impressed at the way she made me feel calm and at ease. She did two root canals for me within the period of 2 months and both went smoothly although there was a problem with one of them due to a problem that had nothing to do with her. She and her staff saw me multiple times as we tried to figure out what was wrong. I was impressed with their patience. You don't get this kind of service often anymore. I will definitely return here if I ever need endodontic work again. If you must get this kind of dental work, I highly recommend West Seattle Endodontics. read more

I was a dental hygienist in West Seattle for 30 years, and our office routinely referred our patients to Dr. Cohen for "root canal" evaluations /treatment. She received rave reviews on her gentle, kind and professional manner, and how smoothly their appointments went. Well, this week I got to be her patient and learned firsthand that she was all those things and more. As an anxious patient, I was surprised at how relaxed and comfortable I was in the chair. Dr. Cohen and her assistant Chantelle explained what they were doing, and told me how good I was doing! They give "root canals" a good name. read more

This was my first root canal, and as uncomfortable as it should have been, Dr. Cohen made my experience amazing. She is the most caring Dr. I have been to. She is an expert at what she does, along with amazing customer service. The assistant was great as well. I also received a follow-up call checking on how I was doing. 5 stars for Dr. Cohen! read more

I had a root canal at West Seattle Endodontics and I could not be happier with the work done and the care I received. They made sure I was comfortable the whole time, explained everything including procedure, cost, aftercare. Normally you have to go back to your dentist for a filling on top of the root canal, but they took care of it all for me and I didn't have to deal with the hassle, expense, or discomfort of another dental visit. The day after the procedure, Dr. Cohan called me herself the day after just to see how I was doing. Really appreciated the personal touch. read more

I live in Olympia, WA but West Seattle Endo is still my go-to. Yes, I will drive over an hour to get there. I am not an easy dental patient, with a small mouth and some dental anxiety. But they make it go great. Dr. Cohen is an award winning endo and it shows in her work. Today I saw Dr. Smithson and she also did a good job. I actually fell asleep during a root canal treatment! No lingering pain from the procedure! If you are in the rather unfortunate situation of needing a root canal, please go here! read more

I needed a route canal, and I have quite a bit of medical and dental anxiety. From the very welcoming nice facility, to the exam, and on to the actual procedure, I could'nt have asked for a smoother experience. I was kept very comfortable the entire time, and I was provided with clear and continual communication, instruction, and attention from Dr.Cohen and her assistant. The positive energy of these folks put me at ease, and quelled my worries immediately. Wonderful experience! I recommend West Seattle Endodontics to anyone looking for a place they can trust. Last week I had a root canal done at West Seattle Endodontics; I could not be happier with the work done and the care I received. I went in with 2 painful molars, and Dr. Cohen with her assistant Grace, patiently tested these teeth to decide what needed to be done. They made sure I was comfortable the whole time, and explained everything including the root canal procedure, cost, and aftercare. Additionally, other tooth problems were identified as well, with explanations given. From start to finish, the administrative staff was helpful, got me in quickly (thank you Jeannie!), and answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Cohen and her office in one's time of need! read more

I had a fantastic experience with West Seattle Endodontics, specifically Dr. Kodama. All experiences with a dentist or doctor should be this smooth! It was easy to make appointments, they clearly outlined what my insurance would cover, everyone was friendly, and my procedure was clearly explained. But most importantly, during my first root canal, I experienced absolutely zero pain during or after, and they did everything possible to make sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure and afterwards. Highly recommended!! read more

I am a difficult patient with a difficult mouth and maybe more than a healthy fear of tooth pain. Dr. Kodama and his assistant (tech?), Grace, were beyond excellent. They were very attentive to my fears and needs, took excellent care in their work and explained everything clearly and gently pre procedure, during the exam and post procedure. I would most definitely recommend Dr. Kodama at West Seattle Endodontics and am so thankful he was there to help me. read more

Having recently obtained my first crown at a different dentist, it certainly wasn't anticipated that I would experience pain since day one of the procedure. Having endured pain for over 3 weeks I came across West Seattle Endodontics to explore other options to get relief from the pain. Tommy who answered my initial call was amazing in answering my numerous questions and concerns and even looked into my insurance coverage details. A clear outline of all costs were broken down so there were no surprises. He was also able to squeeze me in the very next morning. Having had such a painful experience for so long, I was extremely wary when I went in for the appointment. Alyssa and Dr. Emily Wang absolved all those anxious feelings. They were so accommodating and friendly from the initial consult to my first root canal procedure. Dr. Wang kept checking in with me the whole time and I can't say enough good things about their bedside manner. I truly felt I was in good hands. Dr. Wang followed up with me the very next day to check how I was doing which was so appreciated. Side note: If available to you, I would also recommend the laughing gas, especially for those that tend to be a bit anxious. Though still a bit tender due to my bad tendencies as a grinder, and of course still being in the healing process, I can say I felt almost immediate relief from the level of pain I was in previously. Fingers crossed I would never have to have another procedure, but if I ever did, I will definitely return to Dr. Wang and staff at West Seattle Endodontics!!! read more

Had a root canal done by Dr Cohen. Dental work is something I dread, but Dr Cohen did an excellent job numbing me up and I barely noticed the shots. I was given headphones to listen to calming music as I watched a slideshow of videos from Bora Bora. I was relaxed enough that I even considered taking a nap. That's definitely a first for me. Dr Cohen and her assistant Jamar took great care of me. Everyone I've dealt with here has been great. Excellent place if you need Endodontics. read more

Great experience getting my root canal with Dr. Nawari. As a bonus, they were knowledgeable about insurance codes and were able to code things in a way that would make follow-up treatments work correctly. On Metlife, the procedure was about $250. read more

Warm and friendly atmosphere. Almost completely painless local anesthesia injection. The assistant and doc were very attuned to my comfort. My husband needed a root canal. His regular dentist could not do it so he was referred here. My insurance paid them a check, and the check was cashed, however, no record of payment on their side. We were charged up front a full fee, so, I would like to get this money refunded, and transparency in billing would be appreciated. I have called 4 times and never a straight answer. I had to ask twice for them to send in the xrays so that my insurance would pay. Normally, I never have to do this. read more

Looking forward to getting the cavities filled and the teeth fixed. Thank you for your service, Yelp.

I needed an emergency root canal...even though I was not an active patient they got me in the same day and the results were FANTASTIC! The procedure was literally pain free and made a huge difference in my quality of life. I rarely write reviews, but this place is amazing and I would even refer my five year old here if needed! I recommend Dr. Cohen 1000%! read more

-Went in yesterday for a second root canal procedure here on another referral from a trustworthy dentist. This experience mirrored the first: Cordial treatment, effective anesthesia administered with care, thorough, painstaking root canal work by Dr. Cohen and crew- followed by comfortable recovery as anesthesia wore off. Between then and now a day later no painkillers have been harmed and all remain unopened in the medicine cabinet. -Retired now from many decades driving trucks, vans, buses, trains, fixing farm equipment and loading airplanes- I only wish my career had been as comfortable as the two root canal procedures performed by Dr. Cohen and crew at West Seattle Endodontics. One hopes to never need another root canal- but if it happens I'll go to West Seattle Endodontics again. The root canal procedure has a needlessly grim popular image which would be a better one if all root canals were done at West Seattle Endodontics. -Last of all- Both root canal procedures from Dr.Cohen have had a great result: relief from tooth pressure sensitivity and from tooth temperature sensitivity. I no longer have to warm cold water, cool hot tea or avoid chewing certain items with the affected teeth. -COMFORTABLE TEETH ARE SO NICE! Thank you! read more

Dr Cohen and her team are amazing! They fit me in for a root canal within two days, and I can honestly say that the procedure itself was one of the most pleasant medical procedures I've ever had. Even the anesthetic injections were gentle! Dr Cohen and her assistant Jamar were great at keeping me informed about each step of the process, and I was in disbelief when they said it was finished! They also have Pandora and Netflix to keep you entertained and distracted during the procedure, which was a nice touch, as was the followup call from Dr Cohen herself the next morning. Cannot say enough good things about this place :) read more

So... Nobody really likes going to the dentist, right? Even less so, a root canal specialist! Dr Cohen and her staff made my visit as pain-free and comfortable as possible! They are all superstars! Dr Cohen and her assistant Jamar work so efficiently together, it's like they are one being! Everything they did was seamless and designed to keep me comfortable as possible. So get this - it's the day before Halloween 2014 and the power goes out partway through... I kid you not. Do they panic? Nope. They bust out the camping headlamps and finish the job. I've got the pic to prove it! Thank you Dr. Cohen and staff!! read more

I had an infection in tooth with previous root canal. My dentist felt tooth was fractured. Gave 2 options. Both of which required extraction. In the past, I had similar experience. My desire is always to save the tooth. The Endodontics clinic I went to then was successful both times in saving the teeth. I asked current dentist for 3rd option to try to save tooth. Fortunately I is was referred to Dr Cohen. She wasn't sure tooth could be saved but thought it was worth trying I she is highly skilled and professional. She also communicates extremely well. She was very clear on possible outcomes. And, she saved the tooth. Yay! . read more

I would very much prefer to not have a root canal, but if I ever do again, I will be sure to visit Dr. Cohen. She's got a great personality and sense of humor, is incredibly kind, and her work is impeccable. She told me many times how brave I am and so tough and I certainly didn't need the affirmations, but I am brave and tough (!) (LOL) and it's really nice to have recognition. Also, she googled something funny while I was there and I kinda really appreciated it. She told me about Pumpkin, the cat, that apparently lives by her kid's (kids'?) elementary school, and talked about some other terrific things. Mostly, though, her kindness and the quality of her work are the attributes that I most appreciate. read more

Amazing staff and experience! I'm a confirmed WIMP when it comes to dental appointments and I was so anxious about my root canal, but the staff at West Seattle Endodontics was the perfect mix of compassionate and professionalism. Dr. Wang and Arissa did a great job of explaining everything to me to settle my nerves and I went into my procedure with absolutely trust and faith in the process. Tommy, the front desk guy was also very reassuring and made me feel at ease. Wonderful staff, and excellent care! I hope to not have to see them again for a while as I'm still a big baby about the dentist, but I'll definitely be choosing WS Endo as my top choice if I ever need dental work done again because their service really couldn't have been better. Thank you Dr. Wang, Arissa and Tommy for holding my hand through the experience and making me feel calm throughout. You guys are the BEST!! read more
