There are certain people who you just need to trust in this world, and the Dentist is one of them. I have unfortunately run the gamut of dentists from the "I'm paying off my second home so will sell you every service I can throw at you" to the awesome but retiring in the next year. After a few years of going here, I happy to report that I can absolutely trust Dr. Parkhill and staff. You also know a great dentist office when you go back year after year there is very little turn over. I love they remember me, and the service is always top notch, and love talking with Bonnie and the front of the house staff for scheduling and asking questions. I've had a few different services from simple cleaning, to cavities, and crowns. I have never once had to go back for an adjustment, and happy to report everything is holding up perfectly. Unfortunately, I am now paying to have old, poor dental work replaced (From other past dentists), but am more then elated to know Dr. Parkhill will be doing work that will now last a long time. I also know this was my dentist after learning how much Dr. Parkhill loves the neighborhood and community and chose to remain in White Center even though she could probably work any place in the city. Fifteen 5 star reviews?? Be suspicious. Very suspicious... Monkey was. Even with the former Sea Gal working the front desk, there had to be something wrong here. The old man hunched in the waiting room looked at me looking at her, shook his head and grunted, "if I were only younger..." I had to laugh out loud. The office is impeccably clean, sanitary, spotless, masked, gloved, including the bathroom(apple spray provided). Assistants are sweet, hygienists are amazingly painless during my cleaning, though I shouldn't have had those Oreos on the way in. They give you sunglasses so stuff doesn't splash from your mouth to eyes. They treat and care for you like you have been a patient of theirs forever. It's odd for Monkey to feel like that. Dr Irene Parkhill is kind, genuine and the utmost professional. She explained the details of my X-rays, what to watch out for in the future and what may possibly be the next course of action, should any pain arise. Like her staff, she also converses with you, like human beings do. Strange. Do Monkey really have to wait 6 months for next appointment? Monkey overheard squealing earlier while waiting in the chair. (Uh-oh didn't I spray?) Apparently, someone brought in macaroons for the good doctor. Squeals of joy. (Whew- wasn't me). So If I must, Monkey shall return. with macaroons. read more

I had a very pleasant experience at this dental clinic. The check in and waiting area is clean and cozy. Bonnie made the process of making an appointment and checking in very easy. She even helped get my records from my previous dental office. I came in for a cleaning as a new patient. Kim, the hygienist, was very thorough and kept me informed and up to speed throughout the appointment. I saw Dr Parkhill after my cleaning to review my x-rays and my overall dental health. Sneaky and dishonest. I asked them if the services that were going to be provided were going to exceed what my insurance was covered. They claimed to have checked and proceeded with the procedure only to send a bill a couple month later that was way beyond what was anticipated. I just feel like the cost of services should have been discussed better and I should have signed an agreement to the bill prior to the services being provided so I was aware of all costs. Irene Parkhill may very well be an angel cloaked in a doctor's coat. She is truly a peach. Are you one of those people who put off going to the dentist because you are afraid of the needle? If that's the case then you need to fear no more. Dr. Parkhill has the deft touch and when she does the injection you not only don't feel any pressure, but you also don't feel the pinch at the moment the tip of the needle punctures your gums. Whoever heard of falling in love with your dentist? No one. When I was a child, my parents' dentist Dr. Kinner used the old slow grinder drill and only a little novocaine. In prefluoride days I always had four or five cavities, and when I'd leave the office, I felt like the Marathon Man glad to be alive. Those old dread feelings have stayed with me into adulthood. BUT Dr. Parkhill must be the gentlest soul on Earth because I have no fear in her chair. In fact, (I can't believe I'm saying this) it's almost a pleasure to go in for checkups. The orthodontist in West Seattle she recommended for a root canal was likewise gentle and reassuring. Bonnie runs the business aspect smoothly, and the assistants are very good in the cleaning department. My whole family drives in from Des Moines and Kent to enjoy her professional manner, and I have sent a couple people to her, who feel the same way I do. Absolutely 5 stars. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Parkhill for roughly two years. Dr. Parkhill and her staff make going to the dentist seem less like a chore and more like catching-up with old friends. Additionally, when I needed to be squeezed in for emergency repair work on my front teeth, the office was completely accommodating and got me in right away. Anytime I have a question as to whether my insurance will cover a procedure or how much it will cost, Dr. Parkhill and her staff look into the matter, tell me what my insurance will cover, and provide me with information on a payment plan if necessary to cover the remainder.
