And this review is to further solidify this reputation. Last November, I came here for the retreatment of a 15+ year-old root canal and had the privilege to meet both Drs. Nydegger and Fat. They are both very friendly and professional and I would be very comfortable being treated by either one should another issue arise. I ended up being scheduled with Dr. Fat (purely based on availability) and, from a patient's perspective, felt her retreatment of this root canal was very competent, careful, detail oriented, and meticulous. I was recently referred to Dr. Jeffrey Short at Seattle Endodontic Arts for a root canal. His office went out of there way to work me into the schedule and got the work started on the same day. The office is clean, pleasant and run with all the appropriate precautions during the COVID-19 crisis. They keep me clearly informed about the process involved in the procedure. Dr. Short was very mindful of my comfort and ensuring that I experienced no pain. The entire procedure, conducted over two visits went perfectly. I experienced no pain and only very mild discomfort. I saw Dr. Mark freeman shortly after walking in without an appointment. I had some dental concerns and he truly reassured me that I had nothing to worry about, and if I felt that the concern was ongoing, I could come back in 3 months. I felt that he listened to me which was very important. I respect his demeanor and his professionalism as well as his clinical expertise. He is really Good. I also would like to point out that his Dental Assistant was friendly and extremely engaging, she made me feel comfortable. The office is full of professionals who take their job serious. I happily give this office a 5-star rating because of their 5-star staff! I received a root canal retreat with Dr. Gill, and honestly, my entire treatment was seamless. He always checked in to see if I was okay and let me know in advance if there was something that he may be doing that may give a little bit of discomfort, but there never was. Those small details mean a lot. The cherry on top was Dr. Gills assistant Chekah. She had the sweetest spirit and made me feel comfortable each time I visited the office. I had a terrible week with an abscess tooth. I was referred to Dr. Freeman for a possible extraction or root canal. I was in frantic tears when I got there. Dr. Freeman and Wendy did everything they could to calm me and ease my pain. Dr. Freeman could have just pulled my tooth because I didn't know any better. It would have led to great expense and complications. He preformed a temporary solution to my pain while he conferenced with my dentist instead. I went back 2 days later feeling 60% better, more confident in that I trusted him to do whatever he needed to. He decided not to do anything because I was healing. For now- no expensive procedure or unnecessary treatment. They have been amazing with follow up and kept humor in the mix throughout. So grateful I needed up there. They are dental angels:) No hesitation in highly recommending! read more

I was referred here by my regular dentist for ongoing tooth pain, and when I found out "endodontist" means "root canal specialist," I panicked. After all, to a man with a hammer, doesn't everything look like a...root canal? But Dr. Freeman turned out to be open-minded about what was making my teeth hurt, and after consulting my patient chart from my dentist's office and testing various things on my teeth (water, air, tapping, a cold Q-tip, etc.), he determined this was not a root canal case. And I felt like bursting into song and dance, but I restrained myself. I was impressed that he then wanted to look at my pain from a jaw angle--I figured that as an endodonist he'd only be interested in the insides of teeth. But he seemed well-versed in TMJ problems and bite issues, both of which I've been treated for in the past at other offices. He then ground down part of one problem tooth to keep it from pushing against others and we set a follow-up appointment for a few weeks out to see if that helps. Aside from that, the office is welcoming and calm, the receptionists are helpful, and the location of the suite is super-convenient (right at the Olive Way end of the streetcar). They also validate parking in the Pacific Place garage if you park there. Even if I had to have a root canal here, I think it would be a reassuring experience. For the friendliness of the staff and the holistic approach to tooth health, I'd recommend the office to anyone. read more

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Gill who performed a root canal. He did an excellent job and took the time to help me understand the work that needed to be done. In addition, he educated me on my options to manage the pain. My recommendation is if you need a root canal, see a specialist, and see Dr. Gill. His staff was also very friendly and helpful. I started experiencing severe pain one Saturday night and called Dr. Freeman's office Monday morning and he saw me Monday afternoon! After some tests and imaging, Dr. Freeman felt confident that I needed a root canal. He did an amazing job. I was really nervous but he worked carefully and quickly and did an amazing job. My tooth was really infected and Dr. Freeman decided to do the root canal in two phases to minimize trauma and pain. My follow up appointment was just as easy and painless. I highly recommend Dr. Freeman and even though I hope I never see him again, I will absolutely return to his office if needed. read more

The staff at Seattle Endodontic Arts is amazing!!! Dr. Gill and Chekah have taken such good care of me and I am so appreciative. I recently needed a re-treatment for a root canal. This office is very professional, very courteous and very friendly. I got a root canal done here with state of the art equipment. Later I thought that I needed a second root canal but after testing they recommended high fluoride toothpaste treatment instead of unnecessary and high cost procedures. There are very few times where I have written a review on Yelp, but I just had to write one for Dr. Short. He is AMAZING. PERIOD. Have you ever heard of going to a dentist, and falling asleep in the chair while work is being done?? I did it TWICE with Dr. Short. I had a horrible infection after having a root canal that wasn't done correctly years ago. My current dentist, whom I also love, referred me to Dr. Short, to get the infection handled. I have never felt so relaxed and had this much trust for a dentist, aside from my current one. Not only did Dr. Short explain why I had the infection, he explained step-by-step, the procedure he was going to do and why it was necessary. Then, during my second visit, he let me see the instruments he was using and explained what they were for!! I've always wanted to know what they do in my mouth since I can't feel it, and Dr. Short was the best at doing just that! I have never said this before, but when Dr. Short completed my final visit with him, I asked if I ever needed another root canal, if my current dentist would refer me to him again, lol.
