My Dentist referred me to Advanced Endodontics because they had noticed an infection in the root of my tooth. The infection led to a sizable void in the bone, 10 millimeters to be exact. The doctor and the office staff are the worst I have even seen. My 79 year old father kept feeling pain and sore after Dr. Alibhai performed a root canal for him. When my father went to back for the follow up appointment to check what is going on with the tooth Dr. Alibhai have worked, the doctor charged another $500 for the visit, and he didn't fix or correct anything. His staff didn't want to claim it to insurance, and said my father can not leave if he doesn't pay the money. This doctor hired a bunch of cheap and incompetence assistant and office workers. A assistant tried 6 times on taking a x-ray for my father without success. Dr. Alibhai is a bully, snob， hypocritical，and money driven dentist. read more

I was recommended here by my dentist to get a consultation done for an infected root canal tooth. I was able to get in immediately. Had to pay the consultation fee up front, which is unfortunate. I'll explain. The lady at the front desk was nice, unsympathetic, but nice. Was informed I was too swollen from the infection to have any work done, and they still wanted me to continue on with the consultation. We asked to just speak with the dentist to see if we should come another day, and were denied, saying we needed to do the appointment. So we had to pay up front - I didn't even get to finish the paperwork before being hassled for payment of $232 - and that was the price for just a simple consultation. My face was completely swollen, I was crying my eyes out, and I was visibly in pain. I went back to get a set of x-rays with the assistant, who had misinformation and did not have the correct tooth number we were to be working on, nor the correct side of the mouth. The dentist came in (Dr. Callie Smithson) and I immediately knew this place wasn't going to work for me. I have dental anxiety and a fear of pain, which I expressed to the front desk lady, assistant, and dentist herself and she did not have one bit of sympathy or emotion. She did not break down the information she was giving me into terms I could understand, as I do not understand medical/dental terms. I felt uncared for and my concerns and questions were unheard. I wish I hadn't had to pay up front, because I felt so uncomfortable that I wanted to immediately get up and leave. I will not ever return here. read more

I was referred to Dr Lion for a root canal on very short notice. I had an excellent experience. Dr Lin is very personable and will not hurt you. He has a definite talent for neutralizing the nerves. There was some pressure but absolutely no pain during the procedure and only needed ibuprofen for one day afterwards. I will definitely go back to him if ever need any endodontics work. Angela Dr. Lin's assistant was attentive, patient and kind. Dr. Lin, I can't say enough good things about him. His manner and sense of humor put me completely at ease and my procedure was done with concern and without pain. Right away I was presented with the billing so I didn't have any nasty surprises. Wow, I was very impressed with Advanced Endodontics! Dr. Rabiee and his team were excellent. My root canal was a wonderfully smooth, two visit procedure. My Root Canal was amazingly comfortable and efficiently performed. The team is very experienced and worked well together. 4.5/5 stars Went to the Renton Advanced Endodontics location from a referral by my regular dentist. I needed to get a root canal done as my tooth was hurting when I ate food. The first visit was a little shaky - just a consultation, but I waited 20-25min even though they didn't seem too busy and I was on time for my appointment. However, Dr. Smithson seemed very knowledgeable so I scheduled the root canal. Naturally a root canal is very scary but Joyce and Dr. Smithson did an awesome job. I have issues being laid down where my head is lower than body, and they worked around that with no issues. I really can't stress enough how pleasant the whole experience was, and how much Dr. Smithson seemed to care about me as a patient. I had no pain afterwards and everything is working great. I haven't taken the best care of my teeth over the years. Sometime last year I broke my tooth (a lower molar); my terror over having drills and needles in my mouth led me to endure the pain until I no longer could. I had to bite the bullet and get it taken care of. I was referred to Dr. Roberts by Dr. Kim's office (see my review on 4th & Morris Dentistry!), and I have to say Dr. Roberts is an actual magician. An ACTUAL magician. She probably moonlights as one. Let me tell you, I left her office after my root canal feeling footloose and fancy free. I even got a compliment on the root canal by the dental assistant who helped me with my final crown. She said it was the most beautiful root canal she'd ever seen (and that makes me a pretty princess, doesn't it?) All joking aside, Dr. Roberts is amazing. Her team is amazing. The office is clean and pleasant with really great views of bustling Renton. The procedure didn't take long at all, all things considered. I will forever recommend this office to absolutely anyone who needs a root canal done. They were gentle, welcoming, and professional without making me feel like a shmuck for not taking care of my teeth. read more

Renton and Bellevue Clinic are run in a haphazard manner. IMO, Prices are more expensive than other comparable doctors in the Seattle/Eastside region. Front desk is very rude. My experience was that the clinic is more concerned about payments than customer satisfaction. To be fair, I got the feeling that people at Walmart would have trusted me more than this clinic. :( The doctor conveniently bailed himself out and let the front desk go on and on about the terms and conditions. I am done with this clinic and do not recommend them to anyone. Check other clinics in the area for options read more

I needed to get a root canal done ASAP due to tooth pain. My general dentist got me scheduled for a consult the same day and I was able to get the root canal done just a few days later. I work in the dental field and I am exposed to this treatment almost daily. Getting it done yourself is another story. I was very nervous as it was my first one. Not to mention that I am pregnant as well. Dr. Roberts did an amazing job! I didn't feel anything, she was extremely thorough and precise. I would recommend her to anyone needing a root canal. Even though I got two root canals today, I really enjoyed this location. It'a very clean and up to date on their technolgy ect. I filled out my new pacient forms on a touch screen laptop, had my x~rays done with a portable machine and was numb and ready to go soon after. Dr. Karim did my root canals. He was very gental yet efficient. He was kind and made sure I was comfortable. They offered me something to drink before the procedure and had ibprophen and a warm cloth to wipe my face with right after. I felt like a V.I.P. The hygeinist was very kind as well and made very at ease during the scary (for me) numbimg part with the big needles and what not. I managed not to cry so that's a plus. Well if I ever need a root canal (hopefully never) I'll be coming back here for sure. read more

I had a great deal of trauma to my mouth over the years. I don't trust dentist therefore to be truthful I haven't gone. It has created such pain before. Not any more. Dr. Susan Roberts in the Renton office has restored my faith in going to the dentist. Her understanding and compassion made my three hour appointment for a root canal as pleasant as it could be. Her staff in the office were such as incredible. The front office was so compassionate and understanding. Explaining everything with a smile and an understanding attitude. Dr. Roberts assistant often would lend a hand on the shoulder to let you know she was right there and everything was going okay. I am not sure about the other location, but I know that if you need work done you honestly should make an appointment with Dr. Roberts. You will not be sorry. Very little to no pain involved, professional and friendly Endodontist and staff, and I was in and out of there in about two hours. What a great office! The staff was wonderful! I really loved that my insurance benefits were figured out before I even got to the office! When I arrived I was told how much a root canal would cost and how much my insurance would pay and of course how much I'll owe. I was worried about feeling pressured into a root canal since I signed a consent form at the front. That wasn't the case at all! The Dr. I saw was doctor Roberts and she was so conservative and informative! She made me feel like I had choices and really wanted me to understand before we went ahead with treatment. My anxiety level about dentists is beyond words. So when I needed to have a root canal done, needless to say I was in tears. Dr. Susan Roberts and her staff were amazing. They explained the procedure, what I would feel, wouldn't feel, and/or should feel. The assistant was so kind, gently rubbing my shoulder now and then, and both Dr and assistant constantly asking how I was doing. The procedure was quick and effortless as root canals go LOL. Their understanding and concern put me at ease just a few minutes in. I have worked in a medical office for nearly 25 years and both the assistant and Dr's bedside manner was awesome!
