I've avoided going to the dentist because I get lots of anxiety but had to come in for my cavity and filling. My friend recommended Sunrise Dental so I gave them a call. Very impressed with the whole entire process. 1- front desk that answered my call was quick, efficient, and pleasant. They offered me next day appointment but due to work I had to schedule it for Saturday. Love that they're available 6 days a week. 2- process as a new patient went smoothly too, I was sent a link to fill out and upload my information so when I went to check in, it only took a few minutes. 3- the dental assistant that helped Dr. Im was amazing and I loved her. She was so nice and gentle with me knowing how nervous I was. She kept on checking on me to make sure I was ok and that I was comfortable. 4- lastly Dr. Im, he gave me the breakdown of what he saw in my X-rays and had a game plan set to help me take better care of my teeth. Every time he would do something he would explain it to me so that I know what is happening next. I don't like to be numb and can't stand any needles but even with that he made it as painless as he was able to. I appreciate all the care from start to finish. I definitely will be coming back with my family and have already recommended him to a few of my friends and their family. read more

I came to Sunrise Dental in Bellevue in dire straits. My dental journey has been long and complicated and I've had really bad luck with dentists. I saw Dr. Do for complete mouth reconstruction and she is absolutely amazing. I can't convey how impressed I am with her and Sunrise Dental. In all honesty, she changed my life and Im so thankful. She is extremely kind and she really cares about her patients. The staff is fantastic as well and I promise anyone reading this, you will not regret going to Sunrise Dental in Bellevue. This was a hard switch. I was traveling pretty far for my previous dentist. HE is an amazing dentist but I was struggling with his front desk and their lack of understanding on my fear and would just look at me annoyed and lacking any empathy. Then I met Sarah through a friend . WOW! She was so kind and didn't push me to try her office. Just listened to my previous experiences and didn't down play my history. She sincerely cared and listened to my issues, pretty rare nowadays to get people to actually listen and care. Very grateful to have met her. It took some time for me to come around but today I had my first procedure. Dr. Kim and her assistant were absolutely AMAZING! So kind and kept checking on how I was doing. I've been a customer here for four years and they billed me something that was supposed to be covered for insurance. When I called my insurance company they told me that Sunrise dental did not submit everything that they had to submit. When I told this to Sarah the office manager she basically told me to figure it out on my own (even though they were the once missing something from what I understand) . When I mentioned that this is frustrating and I rather go to a different clinic she just said "okay bye". I will give this place 5 stars as they been working with my husband and daughter pre Covid till now. They have great orthodontists and kind staff. The Customer Service crew is great to work with at some level but they have protocols to follow regarding arrangements and billing. Please don't go to this clinic. They use you fear to make money. I had a bad tooth ache on Friday and scheduled a visit on Saturday. On my first visit, they made it sound, if I don't treat my tooth on the same day(within an hour), I might die. They made me take some extensive X-rays and CT scan and made me pay 350$ out of Pocket. The way they stressed me to get the treatment done immediately, made me get a second consult. I got an appointment with my regular dentist on Tuesday and got to know there was no infection or any urgent attention needed. I took antibiotics for no joy and was stressed the whole weekend. read more

This was my first visit to a Dentist in some time, so I was very apprehensive about how I would be treated, I have been pretty hard on my teeth over the years. But from the moment I walked into there modern and very clean reception area, I was treated very warmly from all the staff, I'm a commercial electrician who has wired a number of Dental clinics over the years, and could see they use the newest dental and lab equipment out there. So after I was brought to my dental chair / room, by a very gracious technician, the chair was heated by the way, and had a great view of down town Bellevue, the x-rays were a breeze, once again the latest x-Ray equipment, and then the mouth and gum technician took over, another wonderful lady that made me feel totally calm and at ease, she was a joy to be in her care, Next came my Dentist to work me over, the Dentist name was Edward Im DDS, a former competition weight lifter, but as gentle as can be on my teeth and mouth, not once did he mention how bad my teeth were, but said he could fix my broken crowns and one cavity no problem, super positive attitude, which I found all the people working at Sunrise extruded. So after a quick wait in the reception area, a very nice billing administrator went over what my insurance would cover and what it wouldn't, prices for my dental work were very reasonable. So all in all, I enjoyed my visit that I had been dreading for weeks, and I look forward to my upcoming dental work. read more

Dentist shows no interest in his customer.. came in for a cleaning for the first time.. tried to get a basic cleaning instead tried sending me off saying I need a deep cleaning. (Well I came here for a cleaning not a deep cleaning).. he continued to push and tell me how great my insurance was and that I should just come back then (so I can spend more money) He got frustrated when I told him I wanted to still do the standard cleaning and said "fine this isn't going to solve it!) ... cleaned my teeth and walked away saying take care... We've been going to sunrise dental in issaquah for years but decided to try the Bellevue location because it's closer to our house in Seattle. The first visit went great, besides the fact that the dental hygienist thought it was her personal mission to convert me to using fluoride... very annoying. Please keep your opinions to yourself. And let me make those decisions for my kids. We filter fluoride out of our water and use fluoride free toothpaste. And guess what, we all have perfect teeth. CRAZY! Then 6 months later while I was out of town Dad took the kids in for their 2nd cleaning at this location and after the appt my daughter calls me telling me that even though their chart says NO fluoride they went ahead and gave it to them anyway. My daughters were both feeling nauseous after the appt from it. I immediately called the office to ask them what happened and the receptionist said that even though their charts do in fact say no fluoride they just gave it to them anyway! No apology no concern. I told her we would not be returning and to cancel my upcoming appt. It's really a lack of care and concern. And if the dentist failed to see that in the chart then that's unprofessional and scary. Fluoride is a completely unnecessary chemical with scary side effects that no one should have in their mouth. I really wish dentists would wake up. Very disappointing. read more

My experience is great so far. I did general cleaning and am a new customer there. I called to get an asap appointment and I got a same day appointment which is awesome! On top of that, the overall cleaning is smooth and satisfying. Dr. IM looked at my teeth and gave clear explanation of what was going on in my teeth and was generous about his time. I've been going to this clinic for almost 4 years for all my cleanings. My best experience in terms of cleaning was definitely with Jenny - she is a great professional, it never hurt and result is always good. My wife has same experience with Jenny too, we always try to schedule out cleaning with her. My main doctor is Dr.Im and he have made fillings - everything is good with them. Once I started following his advises on taking care of my teeth I didn't have to do any more fillings. One more time I had a surgery in this clinic to remove all my wisdom teeth, one tooth was a complicated case. Whole procedure took around an hour, I recovered pretty quickly and had no complications after the surgery. read more

The emphasis on the customer experience began with Jaqi who took the appointment, checked my insurance and explained my available payment options. All very clear, which ensured there would be no surprises on the day of the appointment. After checking in, Oanh expertly took X-rays and photos and made them available for me to inspect. Dr. Im arrived shortly thereafter and made a thorough examination. He was efficient, but not rushed. He explained my options, but the good news was that I didn't really need to do anything--the tooth was in good condition. He answered my questions and spent time explaining things I might do to lessen sensitivity. The experience was excellent, and I intend to move my family's dental care to Sunrise and Dr. Im in the new year. read more

I left the Issaquah location after they insisted I be awake for a wisdom tooth extraction, that took 4 hours. I came to this location and I will never change. The dentist is so nice and gentle, and explained everything to me to ease my anxiety. I also use their orthodontic services and have loved the process so far for my invisalign. Wow, after reading Shubz B's review, I'm a bit floored about Dr. Im's outburst! I personally have been going to see him for the past 3 years and totally love it! It's a nice office though weird how a dentist office has Capri-Suns in the fridge for their waiting patients?! Trying to get more business, huh? They're very big on preventative care and will do x-rays with every visit. They also use this super high-powered water pic that ultrasonically cleans your teeth which can be a bit painful at times, but nothing I can't handle. Dr. Im has always been super nice, friendly, and the fact that he went to med school and then dental school . . . gotta give him mad props for that! I do find it a bit fishy that I haven't had a cavity in years and then when I switched to Sunrise, he found 6?? Hmmm, makes you wonder! But the most awesome thing about Dr. Im is that he actually does a lot of the fillings at no extra cost! He said that he'd bill the insurance and whatever insurance doesn't cover, he'd waive! Which is totally cool of him! My hubby now goes to him too and he loves it there! Oh, and when you're there, ask for a hand parraffin treatment! I only give them a 2 because they had someone come in and perform a root canal and he did awesome. Rest of my care was very boring and unprofessional. I enjoyed the front staff, and one other tech who was professional. The dentist here are antisocial, they don't even greet themselves or talk to you they talk to each other about sports! Don't call and ask if you can come in if it sounds like an emergency cause they will charge so much for the care ( if you wanna call it care" I had a issue made a appt a few days after I thought I would come get it checked. They shined a light in my mouth and was like it's fine. The charged me 150$ wtf! Plus the kid was barely out of school too. If you can choose somewhere else unless your just getting a cavity filled or something easy! read more

Jenny & Dr. Kwon are straight up plaque assassins. No dirty mouth is safe in Bellevue if they enter the practice. They have no mercy on stains, not even mega-coffee remains. Sparkling pearly white per usual after 45 minutes of plaque extermination. That's team! read more

The office is full of great professional and friendly people. Because of their extended hours it's usually possible to get an appointment when it works best for me. They have great modern equipment and the billing apartment does great getting my insurance contributions known to me as soon as possible. Been going to Sunrise's Bellevue location for years. Dr Kwon is great and so are the hygienists I've had - really nice and easygoing. The ladies at the reception are always SO helpful. Most recently they talked me through my options for wisdom teeth. When I decided to go to an oral surgeon I had a great experience with the people they referred me to (Bel Red Oral) so I'm grateful to have had that advice as well. I thought I had a broken crown and called my dentist (called Tuesday NYE) and they said they couldn't see me till Friday or possibly Sat and they would call me back. I was panicked bc it was a holiday week and I was in some discomfort . I called Sunrise Dental and they got me in Thursday morning! I was so relieved. Everyone from check in to checkout were great. I met with Dr. Kwon and he was friendly and thorough. I appreciated the text messages and their online tools for their appointments as well. The most well-run dental office I've dealt with. I was in there regularly for a gum graft and follow-up appointments. Dentists are great. But I can only give 2 stars as I'm a little upset of how they are asking me to pay $85 for cancellation fee. I've been a patient in Sunrise Dental for a couple of years now. I had to pay $85 on cancellation which I gave them a call 24 hours prior to the appointment. Also, given the fact that the appointment was around Sunrise's referral for orthodontist consultation, it was Sunrise who led to this appointment. I understand their policy was to cancel 48 hours prior, which I did leave them a note to call back a week ago, but 2 missed call from my end, (and 3 missed call that I had attempted a few days ago) didn't seem like something I hadn't tried. read more
