THE BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. My dental hygienist was Claudia and she was amazing. Very informative, patient, and sweet. It was clear that "patient comfort" was among her top priorities. This was true of the whole office. From the moment I walked in, I was immediately greeted by reception and escorted to my dental seat, never having had the chance to sit in the lobby. Moreover, I was wonderfully introduced to Claudia, as if I was being handed off to a private concierge. When I met Dr. Yang, he simply continued the standard of excellence and care, always allowing for questions and always explaining what he was doing and why. I'm sold on this place. Best dental experience, hands down. I've been to a lot of dentists and Dr. Yang was the first to numb me up without ANY pain whatsoever. Absolutely amazing. Was treated very rude, was charged a missed appointment charge for being 5 minutes late of $125 and once I paid them they said I did not pay them and told me I have been banned for not paying! Scam artist here. They are not gentle at all, the Dentist stabbed at my gums and was very rough, even scratching my face! They act "nice" until they have your money, and this dentist does work on your teeth that you don't even need just to get your money. Stay far far away if you value your teeth and your money. This place is a total joke. Id rather pull my teeth out with pliers then ever go back to this place. read more

It had way too many years since I had been to the dentist due to a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with a dentist here in Seattle. (yes, I've written a review) So, I took my time looking for someone I could feel comfortable with. Plus have it be convenient in some way. So, I checked out sites and read reviews. I liked the info on Dr. Yang's site PLUS the dental hygienists there went to school at EWU when a good friend of the family (and my personal hygienist for 18 years) was teaching at EWU. So, I figured she was good and that they might be good too. I was right and they HAD studied under my hygienist. And Dr. Yang was nice. But, no hand moisturizing. Which is fine; I don't like it. The appointment making people/billing people were also very nice. Plus, and this might only be a bonus to a select few, the view from the room I was in was of a "spa". Yep, one of those special kind! Unfortunately, not a lot happening at 9am in the morning. I'll have to make my next appointment for the afternoon! All and all, my experience was good. And I was really really scared to go in but everyone there made it easy and I look forward (sort of) to my next cleaning appointment. read more

Steve Yang is an honest straight up dentist and only have you come in when you need to. They also give you a bonus hand moisturizing treatment while you wait! The Xray technology is digital so you see immediately your Xrays. The staff is kind and the decore of the office space is in very elegant modern Asian style. I don't live near his office any more but I refuse to find another dentist. read more

I've been going to this dental office my whole life, and Dr. Yang has been my dentist since he took over the practice. I'm not sure exactly when that was, but it was at least 7 years ago. I've been to other dentists about 3 times in my whole life, but I am glad it hasn't been more than that. Soon after Dr. Yang became my dentist, I broke my upper front tooth. About 1/3 of it had broken off. 7 years later, the repair is still in perfect condition, and nobody can tell it's not entirely my real tooth. I just went to a New York dentist that is highly rated on Yelp (not by choice of course, but because I am currently living out of the country and happened to be going to New York but not Seattle this winter), and he was amazed at what a good job Dr. Yang did fixing my tooth. I also wear a night guard, and the NYC dentist was impressed that Dr. Yang was aware I needed one with so few signs of night grinding, and he also commented on how well my custom night guard fits. These are just some of the examples of the excellent work Dr. Yang does on my teeth. All of the dental hygienists I have seen there are skilled, gentle, and pleasant. The receptionists are also very friendly and helpful. It's been many years since I've lived in Seattle, but whenever I go back (about once a year), I make sure to schedule an appointment here instead of going to another dentist. It's not that I'm afraid of other dentists--I really enjoy getting my teeth cleaned--but I am picky about them and want to be sure that I will get top dental care in a pleasant environment, like I do at Dr. Yang's office. read more

This is the second time I visit, both for teeth cleaning reasons, everyone is nice and professional. But if you don't have insurance or not have enough money , DON'T GO!! Each time they recommended you extra service, but won't mention the price until you check out. Today the teeth cleaning and Surf Posterior Composite costs me $980!!!!!! But they didn't mention once about the cost till I need to pay the bill. When I paid the bill, they remind me to come 2015 Feb cleaning and another extra service again. The first time I went there in June for teeth cleaning also charged me $410, add up whole bunch of fees. Even they do good job , but I get very irritated with their business method. So, I highly recommend people don't go there unless you want to get ripped off read more

Great dentist but I hate to say it because his schedule fills up. Have to be sure to schedule your visit 6 months in advanced with this one or you could wait a month or so to get in for cleaning. I had a problem with pain in my molar that started up again and other dentists tried fixing my bite and adjusting my night guard and would give up on it. Went for check up and asked him about it coz it was starting again and I said I needed my night guard adjusted. He said it isn't my night guard. I had an infection under a root canal because of the way they used to do root canals 20 or so years ago. Sent me to an endodontist who x-rayed and was able to show me the tiny pockets that were inflamed. Dr. Yang is a very knowledgeable and gentle dentist. read more

This office has the nicest staff to go along with their highly skilled and compassionate doctors. They are great in taking the time to examine and diagnose my teeth without pressuring me for unnecessary treatments or procedures. Dr. Yang is a very personable, yet professional dentist. His demeanor puts you at ease. Dr. Yang is very knowledgeable, which was evidenced in his extremely comprehensive exam. His staff and hygienists were equally professional and thorough. To top it all off, they offer a parafin wax for your hands while you get your cleaning. My family has been going to Dr. Yang's office for years. We moved from Renton but still keep going because the quality of care is so wonderful. My eldest daughter struggles with severe dental fear and in the beginning it was rough going. Despite having to deal with her crying and panic attacks during fillings, Dr. Yang took his time and helped her overcome her fear. The whole staff celebrated last year when she made it through a filling appointment with no problems. I love the care and level of treatment I get from Dr. Yang and everyone in his office. I've been going here for 26 years (starting with the great dentist from whom Dr. Yang bought the practice) and have had a normal amount of issues with my teeth and they are always looking out for me. In response to a few reviews re: the cost of care, this office has been great when I ask about getting an idea of what insurance will cover, but keep in mind that the care of your teeth is never cheap and dental 'insurance' is not at all comprehensive like medical insurance. It's the patient's responsibility to be proactive and aware of what your insurance covers (usually not much) and what it doesn't; then decide based on dentist recommendations what else should be done that's worth covering on your own. For example, my insurance covers teeth cleaning twice a year, but I pay out of pocket to get it every 4 months since it's recommended. That's what I use my FSA/HSA plan for. read more

Never knew I would enjoy a dental visit this much! Barb at the front desk is consistently professional! She always greets me genuinely upon entry and sends me off with a warm goodbye. Renee and Erica have both worked on my teeth the past 3 visits and they are by far the best hygienists I've dealt with. Extremely professional but personable and always asking my how well I'm doing throughout the cleaning or x-rays with my comfort in mind. I let Erica know I was experiencing sensitivity in one specific area and she was more than willing to work around that by manually cleaning the area instead of using the automation tool. Renee has a great bubbly personality and it always feels like I'm with friends when I'm there. I've been in offices where I've walked out feeling embarrassed or scolded by the dentist but that doesn't happen here. They express concerns with a positive attitude and take the time to explain what can be done. All great assets in Dr. Yang's office and I hope they never leave! Dr. Yang is also great and spends the time to talk about all the details of what he sees. I would agree with the other reviewer in that he takes a conservative approach and does not impose on surgeries or drastic measures when we were consulting for my ortho treatment. He also works closely with his orthodontist to ensure his recommendations are taken in to consideration. I feel as if I'm in good hands and this will be my forever dental office. I certainly highly recommend. I had to reschedule my appointment and they only had 1 available open spot left for the entire month of June so if you're considering, book now! read more

I am so impressed by the office of Dr. Steve Yang. They are so good with kids and made the whole experience very pleasant for them. They are friendly and made sure the kids were comfortable and not scared, well before they even asked to look into their mouths and count their teeth. They have toys to help explain the teeth cleaning process to them in a manner in which they could understand. Plus, they have a TV screen to watch movies and TV shows to distract the kids! Overall, I recommend Dr. Yang and his team for anyone who have kids or who want a professional, clean, experienced dentist to go to! read more
