I went to Core Endodontics at their Seattle location on June 16. ( I have to wait for 3 weeks to get an appointment at the location near me ) After examination, the doctor there decided that I need a root canal procedure. I agreed to let her carry on the procedure. That troubled tooth has crown on it, now not quite two weeks after the procedure today, June 29) the crown broke off from the tooth... Since this incident happened just hour ago 9:00 PM. I don't have place to go for this dental emergency. BTW, beside poor dental work, the office staff is not helpful. My dental insurance is with Anthem BSBC, PPO. But the office staff just told me that I don't have insurance. So, I call Anthem myself and make Anthem people talk to them to validate my dental PPO insurance. I went there because I need to see an endodontics sooner, and their review are good. I don't normally yelp reviews but in this case feel compelled. I hate, absolutely hate dental visits, even more for invasive work. I needed a root canal and was referred to Dr. Mark Germack through my dentist. Mark and his team are the utter most professional team I have experienced. I felt completely taken care of and somewhat pampered for a root canal. Mark and Keaton absolutely made sure of my comfort and anxiety. The process was smooth and day two I felt back to almost normal. They followed up with a personal call to see how I was doing and even provided phone access prior to my visit in case I had any pain or an emergency situation. I felt totally taken care of. This office is amazing. The staff is so outgoing and competent and cares how you are feeling throughout the entire procedure. State of the art stand up xray machine was so quick. Rachel was supportive throughout my prep and after the procedure. Dr. Mark Germack is friendly and really cared about whether or not I felt comfortable throughout. The numbing was painless, and best of all, the unnumbing after I left was also painless! The procedure was peaceful and I listened to music from my phone with their noise cancelling headphones. No one wants a root canal, but getting one here was a really wonderfully safe experience. read more

WORST dental experience ever!! Took X-rays & then shot me up full of anesthetic for a root canal procedure. Then when I was numb, looked at x-rays and told me my tooth was not a candidate for root canal and should be extracted instead. Told me they don't do extractions & it would be great if I could extremely quickly find a dentist who could extract my tooth since I was completely numb at that moment. I tried without success, so I had to endure the pain & anxiety from all those shots a 2nd time cuz I couldn't find a dentist fast enough to extract my tooth b4 my anesthetic wore off. How about looking at the x-rays BEFORE shooting me up? How about YOU finding another dentist to do the extraction while I was still numb to at least help make up for your mistake? How about providing me with a service recovery payment of $92.70, the same amount you received from my dental insurance since I ended up going over my annual maximum and that $92.70 should have been available for other dentists who performed their services in a competent & responsible manner? FYI - Your Business Manager refused to make such a payment, so now I'm writing this review & will be filing a formal complaint with the ND Board of Dental Examiners - A big dental mistake followed up by extremely horrible customer service - AVOID THIS PLACE!!! read more

I needed a route canal and went on Monday for a consultation and was able to get an appointment for it on Wednesday. I was expecting to be there for an hour and a half to two hours, but he was finished within an hour! They are so friendly and inviting. They also let you leave with a little case of Advil or ibuprofen for the pain. And then, the day after, they called to see how you're doing and if you're in any pain. I'll start with saying I owe Dr Germack and staff a huge Thank you. They exceeded any standard of service you would ever expect. The front desk, dental assistant and the doctor all made me feel that I was the only patient on the planet . That's how attentive they were, and how special they made me feel. I was scheduled and seen the same day when I called for my consultation. They also got me in the very next day for the procedure. Dr Germack is very very kind, gentle, highly skilled and personable. I will also say, I owe them a huge Apology for what a nightmare patient i was! Cried, kicked and screamed like a baby upon finding out I needed a Root Canal. Actually GOING IN for the procedure?, ..I was a "next level "crazy,psychotic basket case. The likes of which not even they have seen. They did everything to help me feel safe and calm. As an over anxious person, merely driving past an endodontic facility would fill me with sheer terror. I couldn't imagine ever needing to go to one...And here I was. They gave me 100% patience, understanding, sympathy, skill, total comfort, compassion and the highest quality treatment possible . I could not have been in any better hands. The best. Period. I needed a root canal and my regular dentist highly recommended Dr Germack. As far as I could tell, the work was professionally well done, but I was very disappointed in the lack of communication on the part of both the Doctor and the staff and I wouldn't go back unless I had to. No one told me before I got to the office and was signing papers that I would have to pay the entire bill then, and I had no advance warning of how much the bill would be. I managed to move enough money around while I was at the office to pay the bill, but I would have done so very differently if I had known it what was coming. There was never any explanation of what was actually going to be done, and no information as the afternoon wore on about how things were going at any one time, or about how far along we were in the process. A tic - EVERYONE in the office ends almost every sentence with the word "Perfect" - regardless of the content of the remark. Finding out you need root canal is not ideal! Going to Core actually made having root canal a good experience. I have written very few Yelp reviews, but felt compelled after my experience at Core. I hate having to find and get established at any new doctors office. Thankfully when I called to make my appointment they were very patient with me. They helped me with getting booked and navigating insurance questions. The office is modern, bright and clean! La Croix and healthy snacks in waiting room too!! Dr. Germack was engaged and answered all my questions. He sympathized with the pain I was having and got me scheduled within the next few days. On the day of my root canal I was offered a headset/music, neck pillow and blanket which eased my worries. Dr. Germack and his assistant checked in with me throughout the procedure to ensure my comfort. Took less time to complete than I had thought and the next day I was feeling SO MUCH BETTER!!! Took Advil for a couple of days and then all was good. I hadn't realized how miserable the pain was making me until after the procedure. Made me happy to be pain free and have had a great experience! The best dental experience I've ever had. Dr. Germack and his team are so attentive to patient needs. Getting a root canal should be so uncomfortable but they managed to make everything about the process comfortable. They are friendly, their dental office is so tidy and neat, and their is really no one I would rather go to. I was bummed when I had to go back to my normal dentist. My husband and I moved to Seattle 2 years ago so trying to establish a new dentist seemed overwhelming. When I finally found a general dentist I liked, they referred me to Dr. Germack to fix a previously completed root canal. Dr. Germack and his staff had presented me with three options of ways to fix the infection. I never once felt pressured to select one way over another they kept it very factual. Deciding to go ahead and get the infection taken care of, I scheduled step 1. Before completion of the first step of the process I was offered noise cancelling headphones and a blanket. This seems small and silly to comment on, but made the drill sounds more manageable. After the first procedure I had a "flare up" which caused discomfort in the area. They were able to get me in quickly to assess the situation (within 5 hours). They again gave me options as how to proceed never making me feel like I need to do one thing over another. Not only did they get me in within 5 hours but I was able to get the small procedure to help alleviate some of the discomfort during that visit. Dr. Germack and associates helped to get me in and the problem taken care of quickly and efficiently. Dental procedures are never fun, but I am grateful that Dr. Germack and his staff are who I was referred to! I would highly recommend Core Endodontics to anyone who would need to go through a root canal or have previous work fixed! read more

I needed an emergency root canal due to an infected/abscessed tooth, and my dentist referred me to Core Endodontics. I had a puffy/swollen face and was experiencing pain. Luckily, Dr. Chen was able to see me the same morning. We discussed my options and then she performed the root canal. She drilled a canal in the infected tooth and all of the icky stuff drained out. I felt so much better. She sent me home with antibiotics and finished up the root canal a few weeks later. There were no complications and no pain nor discomfort during and after the procedures. Dr. Chen, the dental assistants and the receptionist were very professional. Not that I want another root canal, but if I need one, I wouldn't think twice about going to Core Endodontics. read more
