Dr. Kang is hands down one of the best endodontists out there. If you're facing a root canal for the first time or even worse, need one redone stop your search here. Seriously look no further. I learned this the hard way after a back molar root canal done a while ago started to fail. I went on a root canal world tour, consulting with specialists in Canada, Florida and California, all of whom told me my molar was doomed, too far gone, and that we should pull it out. Enter Dr. Kang, who confidently said, he could save my tooth. And guess what? He did! I won't lie, I saw him a lot (I think it was six appointments), but every single visit was worth it. Fast forward two years to now, and that tooth is still going strong, no issues whatsoever. His team is incredibly sweet and made it so easy to juggle all the appointments I needed. They were super flexible and stayed on top of things, even seamlessly communicating updates and transferring info to my dentist for the final crown work. And here's the best part all of my appointments were completely pain-free. Dr. Kang took his time, didn't rush, explained of what he was doing very well and even scheduled an extra session when he realized my tooth needed more healing and another round of antibiotics. Root canals are nobody's idea of a good time, they're pretty much the worst, but if you want the job done right, especially with a tricky case like mine, you're in the best hands here. If you want to get yelled at and belittled by a dentist with horrible bedside manner while also dealing with the pain of a root canal, this is your clinic. At the outset, Dr. Michael Kang told me that somehow this root canal was my fault (yet a 20yr+ old crown) before even accessing or asking my dental history where he would understand that this wasn't the case. He also didn't bother to explain what he was going to do to me or my son as we were both being treated that day. Then when I asked some simple questions about why I had pain and how to prevent it, Dr. Michael Kang didn't address my questions but began screaming at me, literally screaming, because I didn't understand his response. As I asked my questions, he kept repeating the same sentences like somehow his loud voice but the same words would explain it better. Or if he yelled at me, maybe I'd shut up and quit asking. The coup de grace was when I became disappointed with his behavior, rudeness and lack of listening, he repeated like a mantra, "I don't know why you could be upset, I went to Harvard and am highly rated in Seattle." Like that was some kind of excuse for his poor behavior or that I should just put up with his arrogance and rudeness and lack of bedside manner because he went to Harvard. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor or dentist in my entire life. To be a jerk and yell and scream at me with my son in the next room, and when I am not ok with his poor behavior, respond that he went to Harvard and is highly rated, I just don't understand that. Went in for my first root canal today and Dr.Kang took extremely good care of me and went above and beyond can not recommend him enough. Jackson at the front desk answered my millions of questions on the phone weeks before my appointment and many more while waiting in their waiting room with a great fish tank. The person helping Dr. Kang through the procedure and that took my X-rays name is escaping my mind at the moment but she was great as well. Dr. Kang is no doubt one of the friendliest and most professional dentists I have had the pleasure to get treated from! I had a very pleasant experience, and that is not common because I absolutely dread going to the dentist. Most people would say they hate going to the dentist, but I am at a whole another level, trust me. The receptionist was very friendly as well. Everything was carried out very smoothly, both the procedure and the scheduling. The office is also very conveniently located in downtown Seattle. Just wanted to say thank you to Dr. Kang and the staff at Endodontics Seattle. I was referred by my dentist for a root canal on one of my molars. I was nervous, as this was my first root canal, but Dr. Kang was amazing! I didn't have to spend much time in the waiting room & the doctor arrived to begin treatment right away. He explained the procedure and checked in with me often to make sure I was comfortable. The entire procedure was painless and relatively quick. On top of that, the front office staff worked with me to find a payment plan that would accommodate my limited income. I was blown away by their understanding and support. I always anticipate and expect a certain level of professionalism when receiving health care, but this office far exceeded those expectations. Not only were they professional, punctual and kind, but they also treated me with so much compassion. I really felt cared for and heard. I would absolutely recommend this office to anyone in need of a root canal or other specialized dental care. I had a root canal treatment performed by Dr. Michael Kang. He successfully performed the treatment on a very difficult back tooth with curved roots saving the tooth from extraction. Dr. Kang and his staff are highly competent with an added bonus of being friendly and nice. They are on time with their appointments, can do 'rush' cases when necessary and explain everything they are doing while they are doing it. She was able to squeeze me in for a morning appointment for the next day. I live about 30 minutes out of Seattle and was hesitant to drive all the way to Seattle for this treatment. I am honestly glad I went with my gut and made an appointment with Endodontics Seattle. The staff was very friendly and Dr. Kang was informative and professional. I usually get anxiety prior to my appointments, but he made me feel comfortable. It's been a few years since I've been here but it took getting a root canal somewhere else to realise what an unnecessarily terrible experience I had here. From refusing to let me take prescribed anxiety medication, to not being able to numb me completely and telling me I have to "deal with it", to the general lack of empathy and downright rudeness. I noticed last year i'd get tooth paint whenever I eat cold food--my friends stated I should probably get a root canal. I heard from another friends that I try Endodontics Seattle! Called them up and scheduled super fast and the staff was amazing. That one hygenist, Keri, i think is her name, did a superb job and Dr. Kang really broke down my treatment options which were easy to understand. I just walked out of the craziest dental appointment I ever had. I was referred to Dr. Kang by my dentist because I needed an incomplete root canal retreat fixed and they said I needed a CT scan so they would know exactly what the tooth's issues and needs are. This made sense, however unfortunately my insurance did not cover that procedure - I asked Dr. Kang if there was a way we could proceed without the CT scan - he got super angry and totally blew up at me, accused me of not trusting him, of thinking he was trying to scam me, of acting like I know better than him, etc - I politely explained that's it's not an issue of trust, it's an issue of money & my insurance. He said he would do it without charging me - I asked for that in writing to PROTECT MYSELF because I've had bad experiences in the past and he said I was being "very offensive" and stormed out. It made me super upset because financial issues were the reason I wasn't able to get this treatment completed in the first place. I'm sure he is smart and capable but how aggressive he was acting was extremely off putting - it almost felt like he was trying to intimidate me. I wasn't comfortable putting my health in the hands of someone who would treat me like that and had to leave the appointment. I've never been treated that way by a health professional before. The front desk staff was at least helpful and seemed empathetic towards my situation - they also stepped in to warn me that the scan wouldn't be covered by insurance which I really appreciated. The whole experience just made me feel really upset and hurt. read more

I have seen Dr. Lin for two Root Canal's and I was referred to her by Dr. Larhs, (see her review earlier post) my regular dentist. Both times everything went perfect, she knows what she is doing and the last time I was embarrassed because I actually feel asleep during the root canal and my snoring woke me up. And I don't like dentists, but she makes you feel at ease, her team is top notch and very friendly. If you need a root canal, then see her because she is fast, she does not hurt, and not doing it will make it worse. I hate dentists, but mine is pretty good and Dr. Lin is the very best for root canal work in the entire USA! I am a big scardy cat, if I say there was no pain, there was NO PAIN! Go, to her and u wont be sorry, this is all she does, she does it well. I would not say this if it was not so, she did not hurt me the last two times I saw her and I hope to never see her again. I'm sad to be a regular here. Not because there's anything wrong with it, but because that means I've *needed* to go here a few times. Boo. Anyway, Dr. Lin is great, and her staff is very friendly. I was referred here by my dentist. I needed the issue to be addressed pretty quickly, and they were faster than I could have expected. I was in for an exam the day after I called, and I had my "procedure" less than a week later. Not bad. I had to get a cyst/abscess removed beneath a tooth, and although I was pretty nervous about Dr. Lin DRILLING INTO MY JAWBONE, I honestly didn't feel a thing. Not even a little. I was so numbed up that I didn't feel that side of my face again for hours. Sound like overkill? When the numbness finally wore off, I was glad I had been spared the misery for so long. Dr. Lin and her staff provided me with all of the instructions and prescriptions I needed to get through my ordeal. I had a molar that was sensitive for months, and my dentist finally got sick of me and referred me to Dr. Lin. He didn't want to do the root canal and deal with me after! Her office got me in right away even tho I'd sat on this for a long time. After the initial shot it was painless and it was comforting to know this was an easy procedure for her and her assistant. I was sent here with a referral from my dentist. The location was convenient and it was very easy to get an appointment. I was rushed through, given a diagnosis, and urged to start treatment right then and there. Aside from worrying me about what could go wrong and a crown that broke during treatment (and because of the treatment was going to be replaced anyway), the work was completed and my tooth felt better almost immediately. This practice is just fine, but could improve their bedside manner when working with new patients to whom a root canal is not an every day occurance. This was my first visit to her office and I must say I was extremely impressed. The entire experience was a good one. They are very professional, organized, and efficient. Usually getting a root canal is super painful and horrible but Dr.kang and his assistant took really good care of me . They continued to check in on my as a pretty much lay half asleep! It was actually very relaxing! No pain, they took me back on time as promised, they always have fun music playing, and they're all super friendly! I had as wonderful of an experience as you can have when needing to get a root canal thanks to Dr Kang and his amazing staff! I had a root canal done 10 years ago which was infected and needed a retreatment and Dr Kang made sure he didn't do anything invasive that he didn't need to do. He also went so far as to try and save the crown I had from another dentist as it was well made and didn't need replacing. He got in contact with that dental office to have them remove it before he did his work so I didn't have to go through the ordeal of getting it remade. He was so pleasant in each of my visits and very knowledgeable. His assistant was so sweet and they were both joking around with me each time. Kari at the front desk was also so great to work with- she was very hopeful accommodating my several appointments and billing needs as well as helping reach out to the external clinics. I have been patient twice with Dr. Kang and I highly recommend him. I drive into Seattle, despite traffic and parking issues, just to see him, even though there are closer alternatives. He is a great communicator. He carefully created and explained a treatment plan and saved my tooth! He is approachable and I felt comfortable asking questions. I cannot say enough good things about Endodontics Seattle. This was my first root canal. They saw me the morning I called, and Dr. Kang took his time to explain everything fully to me,. He was gentle and efficient and the whole procedure was much easier than I anticipated. What really set the experience apart was their customer care. After suffering from what turned out to be a cracked tooth for way too long, I went to see Dr. Lin. She got me in rather quickly for the evaluation and determined I would need a root canal. It was very rushed and matter-of-fact. As I was leaving the assistant handed me a prescription for a pain killer which I thought was for the interim before the root canal. I didn't need the RX so I didn't even look at it. I was never told what to expect during or after the procedure. The root canal was virtually painless, quick and very easy. Dr. Lin was all business and she and her assistant worked well together to make the procedure go quickly. Her bedside manner is nothing to brag about, but she does get the job done efficiently. During the appointment the assistant asked when my crown was being put on. No one had ever mentioned a crown to me. Maybe this is supposed to be common knowledge? After the root canal the pain was almost unbearable. Not able to eat solids or sleep for three days, I called the after-hours number, which turned out to be Dr. Lin's cell phone number. She didn't answer and didn't call back, leaving me with another sleepless, painful night. When I got in touch with the office the next day I told them that I can't take the Vicodin they had prescribed, could I get something else? I was told to "Just take extra-strength Tylenol and ibuprofen, the pain will go away in a few days." I'd been doing that and it wasn't working. Overall the experience was underwhelming and disappointing given the great reviews here. I would not recommend this place. read more

I live in Burien and for the convenience I went to see local Endodontist Tomala for a root canal. After the procedure, I had a great deal of pain and swelling for days and eventually I had to contact the dentist to get on antibiotics for the infection. I found out the root canal was a failure and I probably was going to loose the tooth, which would cause the need for implant and new bridge.....I was devastated. In desperation, I searched the web and found Doctor Kristine Lin. She is such a master and a breath of fresh air in doing root canal since I had been treated many times in this area, I think I can honestly tell the difference. She took time to explain my complex dental condition and came up with a personalized step by step plan. I had several visits with her and there was almost no pain or discomfort involved. In the last visit, she successfully finished the root canal surgery. I am very grateful to Lin and highly recommend her to people who need root canal, especially if you have a complicated dental situation or failed procedure done by other dentists. read more
