I started going to this dental practice when it was new, almost three years ago (2023), and it has really gone downhill since then. The dentist has changed at least twice in that time, without notice to patients. The new management apparently schedules appointments without patient knowledge, since I have received "appointment reminders" for my daughter, who attends university out of state and could not possibly make the appointment date they claimed she had reserved, and I myself received a "reminder" for an appointment two weeks before an appointment I actually had scheduled for myself. At my previous appointment, I got a cleaning and X-rays, but the doctor had "called in sick" and wasn't available for an exam. I wasn't told about this until I was already in the chair. (It was news to me that a medical practice can be open and seeing patients in Washington without a doctor present, but apparently it can be.) When I arrived today, the decor of the office had changed entirely (not for the better) and there was yet another new doctor. They look like they're moving. Office staff is apparently from a temp agency (they said they were "filling in.") When I told them I wasn't comfortable with these changes with no notice, and I would not be keeping my appointment, I was informed they would charge me $150 for a late cancellation if I didn't at least get a cleaning. Do yourself a favor and avoid this practice! read more

What a horribly run and heartless dental office. My brother has advanced Parkinson's and has been trying to get his medical records for weeks. The office manager, Aaron, told them he couldn't have the files sent, even at his cost, he had to come in and get them. So my brother arranged with me to take him today. He confirmed with Aaron on Monday that he'd be there today, Thursday. Giving him plenty of time to locate the files or let him know that he could not. My brother also called this morning to confirm that he'd be in at 2pm and Aaron said "great, looking forward to seeing you." So we get there and Aaron says he hasn't been able to find the records and makes him wait while he looks some more. He didn't find them. He also didn't apologize or take any responsibility for not notifying my brother that he couldn't locate his files prior to him showing up. It takes my brother 2HOURS!! to get dressed because of his disease and this guy could give a shit! Makes him come down to the office only to have not been bothered to even look or notify him that there was a problem. I'm so mad. What Horrible treatment of the disabled, and no help offered to solve the problem!! Don't do business with this terrible place!!!! read more

I don't typically write reviews but people need to be protected. They have been bought out. They double charged me and they won't give me my money back and the phone receptionist guy is belligerent, confrontational and useless. He said that I was not able to communicate with the accounting department or anybody else besides him. This is not the same dentist I've seen for years. read more

I have been seeing these dentists for years, and there aren't enough kind words in the English language to describe my high regard for these professionals. I started with Dr. Laura Sauvage at their Westlake Ave N. location, and now I am a patient under Dr. Wilson. When I first met Dr. Sauvage years ago, and learned of all the work my teeth needed, I was in a very dour mood, being that I was around 32 at the time, and most people don't deal with this level of tooth trouble until they're 60! Dr. Savauge was very patient and kind, and gently explained why all the work was necessary. Three years of Invisalign, metal braces, an abscessed tooth, and now 17 crowns later over seven years, I am still a proud patient of theirs. My attitude towards life and the profession of dentistry is as transformed as my mouth is. I share a smile with anyone I can, and I'm proud to share it because of their excellent work. A lot of people hate going to the dentist, but not this guy! I love everyone in the office, and if there was a sainthood for dentistry, they should all be canonized. We have a lot of laughs together every time I visit. Thanks for teaching me how to laugh and smile, even when it hurts a little! read more

There was no wait time for the appointment (either when scheduling it or when I arrived at the office). The office was clean and professional. Maya, the dental hygienist, was knowledgable, friendly, and meticulous in cleaning my teeth. Dr. Wilson spent the time to answer my questions and address concerns. First time in here and everyone in the office was very nice/helpful. I went for a regular dental check up and I had a great experience. Dr. Ostergren walked me through my Xrays and told me how to interpret it (on layman level). Also, gave a clear plan on what are required to be taken care of and some suggestions. I wasn't rushed into making any decisions which I really appreciate; he provided explanation and let me make decisions. Dr. Ostergren is awesome! The whole office is friendly, patient and understanding. I went in for a cleaning and everyone makes you feel comfortable and ensures you know what is planned. After the cleaning I was told about all the follow up items and and shown in detail my treatment plan and made sure I knew exactly what, why, and how. Recently I thought I lost a filling. I called late in the afternoon and they asked how quickly I could get to the office. They saw me within 30 minutes and took care of me as quickly as possible to make sure everything was as back to normal. It's all about their patients at this office and I highly recommend! read more

Just had my first yearly cleaning. Office is immaculate. Staff are fantastic communicators. They tell you exactly what they are doing and show you exactly what they see that drives their suggestions. They use latest equipment and work efficiently . It was a pleasure getting something that I normally do not look forward to. read more

the Dentist was great but I found more importantly the support staff from smiling knowneldgable front desk to helpful happy dentist hygentist to really make the visit top notch, We all know any good doctors office is made by the good people working there And this place had that. I am a patient of Dr. Sauvage. I requested a Perio Consult prior to tooth implant. One tooth implant is one thing. Multiple tooth implants is not an option for me. That's why I requested the Perio Consult. Dr. Sauvage has a Perio Person here - her name is Zee. Zee is actually the first one to point out my dry mouth and throat. She recommended I begin using Biotene Mouthwash and Toothpaste. Bingo! First major step in the right direction. One week later, Zee completed a root scraping and planing process (sp?) on nearly my whole upper teeth and one on the bottom. I have been following her instructions to a tee. I had no tenderness after the procedure (just numbness). And I have had no sensitivity to hot or cold since. With Zee, it is a home run. I am so grateful Dr. Sauvage referred me to her. Though the Biotene is something I will continue to use, I can only say it has served to relieve/eliminate my dry mouth and throat. And to boot, my sinuses have even opened up wide. I'm not walking around with my mouth open! read more

I had not been to a dentist for many years, and was always reluctant to go, for reasons I probably cannot explain. But, when I finally decided to go, because I knew I needed work, I went to The Downtown Seattle Dentist - and it was the best decision I made. I needed quite a bit of work done and over the 5 months I went in, my experience was nothing but fantastic. The entire staff from Dr. Ostergren to the dental assistants to the front desk - all were professional, courteous, helpful, and absolutely amazing. There was never any judgement about my negligence of my teeth, they just wanted to make everything better. After 5 months I completed all of my treatments with a fixed mouth and lessons learned - I will not neglecting my teeth ever again and am so glad I found this dental office. Top Notch.
