I'm kind of surprised by the negative reviews. I'm a new patient but have had some major work done so far and have had an extremely positive experience. They got me in quickly. I have a mouthful of problems, wasn't shamed for the chaos, they gave me a reasonable plan and approach to get everything take care of, etc. The dentist who treated me is not one of the people on their website and I don't remember his name but he is amazing. Very knowledgeable, professional, explained everything well, and made tooth pulling as painless as humanly possible. Would recommend 10/10. read more

I needed a root canal specialist dentist to treat my 88-year-old mom's broken tooth. Dr. Dejbod responded immediately, and a few hours later, he examined my mom. He treated her like a son. I was trying to get a regular dentist cleaning but the receptionist Vivian denied me that service. she said it is legally required for me to get x rays before any cleaning can take place. They had x rays for me from 2014 but insisted that unless I get fresh x rays they will not do cleaning. Also when I offered that they transfer the x rays from other clinics they said it needs to be done before I come in for cleaning. They informed me of this an an hour the appt. They are super pressuring to get x rays every time I visit them. And they make it such that it would be huge risk to the dentist and that it is a legal issue. I will write to the dental board to confound about denial of service. read more

Must go dentistry for those of all ages! Dr. Lee and Dr. Yeung are very professional, kind, and smart. They always take the time to answer any questions I may have about my dental hygiene and are very helpful in guiding me through the next steps if I need additional work done. All of the technicians are very knowledgeable and friendly. I always feel like I'm walking out of the building with a clean smile. My family has been coming here for years now. My younger siblings, parents, and I have only had great experiences. Now that I'm in college, I always make sure to book my dental appointments here while I'm home. They treat me like family. I swore i would never write another review but I had a good experience here so i wanted to share. I've been crafting a lot during quarantine and made the stupid mistake of trying to pull a needle out with my teeth on a Friday afternoon. I ended up cracking my front tooth, causing a fracture halfway up. The tooth was ragged and cutting my lip, so it was very uncomfortable. My dental office was no longer seeing clients aside from emergency extractions due to the whole COVID-19 pandemic, so I tried calling a few other places. Simply Dental was the only place that called me back. Barbara was super nice and scheduled an appointment for me with Dr. Wendy for Monday morning. When I arrived at the office, Amber was working at reception (she is the account manager) and was very friendly and accommodating. Dr. Wendy was so nice, she didn't shame me for my stupidity, and was SO thorough when fixing my tooth. She ended up fixing both of my front teeth (the other was chipped as well ) and now i feel so much better. Ari followed up and helped me get an appointment time that worked better for me and was beyond helpful! I started going to Simply Dental about three years ago when they first opened. Julie the Office Manager is such a delight; friendly, great personality and very pleasant. The location is very convenient between Aurora or the Mercer mess. They hours are flexible and they accept most insurance companies or self-pay, they will work with you. I have always had good experience here; they've taken good care of me. They are very caring. Despite what others have written; I believe everyone's experiences here is going to be different. This is my second visit at Simply Dental and they surely did not disappoint. I couldn't be more happy with the friendliness at the front desk. I was running 15 minutes late but despite that, they still managed to take me into their care. The staff was very understanding of my situation and I didn't have to wait no longer than five minutes before being tended by Dr.Andy Young. I was in tremendous and agonizing pain and had to get all of my four wisdom teeth extracted. Dr.Andy made sure that I understood what the procedure was going to be like and did a great job at reassuring me a painless procedure. I was very pleased with the fact that he understood how nervous I was and didn't start until the numbing of my mouth had properly settled in. Now, let me tell you how impressed I was with Dr.Andy's work! It took him no longer than five minutes to get all of my four wisdom teeth out. That includes my two bottom wisdom teeth that hadn't even errupted yet. I'm very impressed with Dr.Andy's exceptional skill, precision and swift execution. I experienced no pain whatsoever during the procedure and while I was recovering. Day one will always be tough but that's also why Dr.Andy carefully walked me through the after care. I did not feel anything the following day and could easily get back to work! A very easy recovery in other words. I highly recommend Simply Dental as I only have good things to say about it and its lovely staff. I will definitely be back! read more

This place is purely run by profit driven and dishonest dentists that spend less than 3 minutes talking with you after the hygienist does all the hard work. They push you to come in way more than any other office and provide false information from your insurance that leaves you with a large out of pocket expense 6 months later as a nice surprise. Last time I saw Dr. Kim because my gum was hurting and she referred me to Periodontist Dr. Ashour Izoh. 3/7/2023 I visited him, He made me feel very confortable after evaluation. During my surgery, he gave me very detailed explanation step by step. His care, skill and professionalism impressed me and comfort me! During post-operation, I called him many times to make sure I am ok. He alway very patient and kind and explains my questions and make me feel not worried. This dental office has been really friendly to my boyfriend and me. Julie at the front desk has always been helpful and super nice. In the waiting area there are magazines and some free drinks (water, Starbucks) - even the Keurig machine (K-cups) is here. For cleaning they use mainly a water pick (as opposed to cleaning almost all of your teeth vigorously with the manual pick). This may or may not get everything off of your teeth so if you feel like they missed a spot don't hesitate to tell your hygienist. I opted for a free whitening kit (new patients) and they made the molds of my teeth. They didn't get the molds right, so I had to get the molds re-done, and come back in to get them. However, Julie was so apologetic and nice about it, and she even gave me a Starbucks gift card on behalf of the dental team. That was really nice of them! Dr. Yeung was really nice and funny/quirky at times. I asked her a ton of questions about teeth and she was knowledgeable. If I ever get Dr. Lee I'll try to fill in this review. My boyfriend was also pleased with his appointment here. He was really worried about finding a dentist that was attentive to his needs, but Dr. Yeung and staff were super helpful about treatment and discussion of treatment options. read more

I have a fear of going to nicer dental offices because I really got screwed going to one about two years ago. They lied and said that they would take my insurance but ended up billing me $300 for a teeth cleaning. Anyways, I was kind of traumatized by that experience but coming to Simply Dental has reversed that bad memory. Simply Dental is located on Mercer where it has parking available in the back lots for free. Their offices are really tidy and clean. All the magazines were nicely organized on the coffee table. There is a refrigerator in the corner filled with different types of drinks and water. You can also make your own cup of joe with using their Kurig machine. I would have to say that their waiting area is very pleasant. I only had to wait for 2 minutes before my name was called. Fast and efficient! Again, their dental office was clean and simple. There wasn't too much clutter so you're in a relaxing space. My dental hygienist Oxana was really nice. I think all their staff take notes from your last visit and she asked about stuff that we talked about the last time I was there. I was impressed. On top of that, they took thorough notes about my teeth and followed up in areas that needed more attention. The dental cleaning was smooth and efficient. I didn't feel like I had to waste a lot of time waiting around for the hygienist or dentist. Their front desk person is efficient too. They bill your insurance directory without needed to go through all the hassle of being billed incorrectly. Great dental office! read more

It's interesting that I was freaking out about trying to find a dentist for so long, when the obvious (as well as surprisingly easy) choice was right under my nose the entire time. This place is awesome. Straight up, even just talking to some of the folks that work here, they seem to enjoy what they're doing, and are good at helping people like me figure out what my needs are, while respecting that I'd like to keep costs down. I went in for my 6 month checkup (first time here, though, last one was back home), and I was told about a few options regarding deep cleaning. Usually I'd be pretty skeptical, but I asked a lot of questions and was able to glean enough information to make it the right choice for me. I'd been seeing a pediatric dentist back home for almost 17 years of my life, so it made sense that he might not have been able to identify the gum problems I'd been struggling with as of late. Six weeks later, I returned for the routine checkup and my cavity removal, both of which went really smoothly, and quickly. Best part: they submitted to my insurance automatically, and only charged me the difference. Of course, in the actual appointment, the dentist advises you of your options first, to ensure you're aware of the costs you could incur for services rendered, which I was really appreciative of. Would definitely recommend these folks to anyone in the Belltown area. I haven't been to other places yet, but judging by the reviews and anecdotes I've read from here, hopefully this is all the proof you need! read more

i'm updating my review because i've never received the kind of customer service outreach from any establishment that simply dental just put in. i was not only contacted by the dentist and asked how everything is going, i was also contacted later by the front desk coordinator and was offered half of the money back. the dentist i spoke with (a man) was so kind. asking me on the progress of my tooth and how everything is going now. he explained to me what may be happening and how to proceed further. he was informative, compassionate, and genuinely concerned for my tooth and me. i have a regular dentist i go to and he's never provided anything close to that kind of service. he asked about my insurance and when i told him i didn't have any he even offered to speak to the manager to see if he can get me a discount if i need any root canal work done in the future. i'm truly so impressed by that kind of compassion and care for a patient. tone of voice matters a lot especially in customer service and both the people i spoke with were so friendly and kind. the front desk coordinator i spoke with (sorry forgot her name) was also incredibly warm and i could tell she was truly looking out for me. she made me feel cared for and assured me that they're here to help with anything, whether it's just advice or actual procedures. she also assured me if i were to come back they could accomodate me by having me wait outside instead of the waiting room with others (that was one of my anxiety concerns). she was so apologetic i actually feel bad for the review i posted and don't think it was fair based off that one small visit. simply dental seems to actually care about YOU the patient as a person and not just a number in the waiting room. i can't speak on more invasive procedures, but honestly if this is how they treat a patient by reaching out in such a colossal way --- going above and beyond - i'm sure they're gonna be great for many dental needs. the fact that they're willing to work with you financially, educate you on your teeth, explain the full procedure, offer you such support and kindness is amazing. read more

I would not recommend. They do not discuss with you when they place you on a therapy plan, they just start charging your insurance with more expensive procedures without any tangible justification. They pressure you to come in more frequently even when they say your teeth are in good condition. It seems very high pressure and border line scam like. They sent confusing email about my appointment. I originally had an appointment but later they notified me via email saying that I don't have one. So I emailed them back to confirm my appointment but I found out later after I made a phone call to them they charged me for $50 no show which is totally unacceptable because of this system error. I have been going them for so many years but I had to argue with them about the fee which was real dumb. Later I made a phone call, someone waived my fee after reviewing it. Which should have done in the first place but irritated me for no reason. It was their mistake of course they had to take care of it but they were trying to put it on me. I had been looking for a new dentist in the Seattle area, and Simply Dental was recommended to me by a dentist friend on the eastside. My experience was exceptional with a caring staff who provide a great level of care. One of the little details that made an impression on me is their willingness to accommodate their clients needs. For example arriving late at the end of the day for an appointment for a painful tooth, I would expect to be turned away and asked to reschedule due to being very late. But instead to my surprise they are willing to stay late and the kind dentist who I now see regularly provided great care with a really positive attitude. This left a very positive impression on me and I now also recommend them to others as well. read more

Simply Dental is a scam. Whatever you do, do NOT go here. It is very convenient as it's located right next to Amazon HQ, but after sharing stories with coworkers and friends who also used this dental company we have realized we are all being scammed and up sold for unnecessary procedures. The dentist told one of my friends that dental insurance is actually just "coupons" and they should expect to spend a lot for their teeth health. I have never had a cavity in my life and when switching dentists to Simply Dental, all of the sudden I had "multiple cavities." Don't go here. It is a scam or a dentist company. read more

Hello, I was a patient of Simply dental from 2012 to 2016 and had some pretty good experiences there that later I realized were really bad. I had two crowns put on at Simply dental and both have had to be replaced due to a poor fitting and bad work. Also these crowns were a higher priority than examining other teeth in worse shape. My final visit I asked if my wisdom teeth were ok and I had images of my teeth taken and was told they were fine and coming in as they should. However months later after getting the same films taken of my wisdom teeth you could see two were impacted and overall they should have been removed sooner. If you want a cleaning or something basic done at a dentist Simply Dental is probably fine. However its clear their skill is low and they focus on high ticket teeth repairs versus finding a priority for fixing issues. read more

BEST. ROOT. CANAL. EVER. Dr. WENDY YEUNG at SImply Dental is top notch. This woman REALLY knows her stuff. Just a few days ago she performed a root canal on me and I was really expecting the worst but Dr. Yeung was all about my comfort. I was surprised at how pleasant the whole experience was! I mean come on! It's a root canal! I just popped my earbuds in my ears and listened to pod casts of NPR the whole time and I felt no pain whatsoever! When I left the office after the procedure I called all my friends and family raving about how great the experience was. I admit I was a bit skeptical at first, that I even needed a root canal and other fillings, so I went and got a second opinion from another qualified dentist. He agreed with everything Dr. Yeung prescribed and told me I'm "in good hands." A few hours after the root canal, Dr. Yeung herself called to see how I was doing. The office is super nice and the equipment state of the art. Julie at the front desk is so helpful and kind and explained all my insurance details perfectly. This place is great! I knew it was going to be bad; I hadn't visited a dentist in several years and have weak teeth. I think I was more scared about the cost than the upcoming pain. Dr Lee did a thorough examination with x-rays and photos and insisted on talking me through and showing me exactly why it was bad. It wasn't as expensive as I was expecting, but he still made me look at the photos and we discussed lifestyle changes to look after my teeth. Very professional and caring. Julie, their amazingly friendly office manager, then spent more than 30 minutes with me breaking down the treatment plan into affordable chunks. That level of service has continued a year later. I received follow-up calls after the nasty stuff and Dr Yeung gave up a lunch break to fit in an emergency appointment for a toothache. I had mixed experiences with Simply Dental. Tthere's two dentists here; one is good the other seems like a beginner. The deal breaker for me was when the beginner messed up a cavity fill of mine. I had uneven teeth and terrible jaw pain. I came back in so they could fix it. I got the bad dentist again and after they said it was fixed, a month later, still the same, couldn't bite down on anything hard. The third time I go the good dentist who said they may have to take the filling out and start over, but tried one more time to file it down correctly. That time worked, thankfully. However, I won't be going back there and have taken my business elsewhere, not worth the risk of trouble and repeated visits. read more

First of all, Julie (at the front desk) is amazing! She is efficient, friendly and extremely helpful. I wish I could clone her and have her work at our office! She truly cares about the patients who come in for care. My dentist is Dr. Young. He makes me laugh every time I come in! The experience is always very pleasant and the work is fabulous. I gave them two stars because on previous visits, I have had great service. I like that they have refreshments, their dental hygienists are awesome, they are on time, and they have parking! But when I had two cavities "fixed fillings" recently, I have had repeat visits after to get "bite adjustments" on both fillings! I am still experiencing shooting pain in one. During The third follow up and latest visit the male doctor told me there was nothing else he could do even though I was still experiencing pain. I asked for a second opinion from Wendy. She filed more and then told me to wait two weeks, not eat on the painful side, and come back in if needed. Well I will need to visit again soon because I still have shooting pain in my mouth. I will definitely be switching dentists after this terrible experience. I only have this Set of teeth doc....I'd rather you have not "fixed my filling" at all. read more
