This has been my dentist office since 2020 when they were still at the old 'Seneca Dental' location. I used to have a lot of anxiety around going to the dentist and they have dispelled that. I really lucked out when I found this dental office. Dr. Linda Kim is amazing. Her staff is also really nice from the front office people, hygienist (Brian I think was his name) and all the assistants. Seriously kind and caring people. I've had a lot of dental work in the past and I've been to many dentists and I can honestly say, Dr. Kim is one of the best. She's really good at what she does. She's very knowledgeable and confident, which put me at ease. She is also very gentle and caring. I had to have a crown replaced and the whole process was pain free. Also, the office itself is very nice, comfortable and clean. If you're looking for a really good dentist, I highly recommend this office. read more

I have been searching for a new dentist since I am new to Seattle and my experience here made it an easy choice. I have a couple dentist offices closer to me but nothing compared to how attentive the receptionist Nikki was! She was very patient with me and very willing to help with any and all questions/information I asked for and was super kind. I am not a fan of the dentist but her bubbly personality made me feel welcomed. By her side is Melinda who is also a pleasure to see when I come in! Dr Kim and Dr Yen were very careful with my teeth, very informative, I experienced no pain and walked out of there feeling confident on my choice of dentist. Definitely by far the best experience I've had in a dental office and i'm grateful I finally found one that works for me! read more

I had sudden tooth pain late Friday afternoon, and it progressed a bit on Saturday so decided I wanted to have it resolved by a local dentist as soon as possible before progressing to something more serious. I looked up my insurance coverage and contacted 3 dentists near me to see if they could urgently see me as soon as Monday or Tuesday after the weekend. Monday came and I got an email from Capitol Hill Seattle Dentist (formerly Seneca Dental) at 715 am saying they could see me later that same day at 3pm or Tuesday at 2pm. I ended up going in on Tuesday at 2pm to see Dr. Anh Lao and she was great! Turns out my tooth ache was almost to the point of needing a root canal. After a quick x-ray of the affected tooth, Dr. Lao and her assistant were able to get started right away on fixing the problem. Dr. Lao placed a temporary crown for now which we are hoping will not progress to a root canal in the future. She explained every step to me along the way and let me know what she was going to do before she did it, which I appreciate. Most dentists I've gone to in the past don't do this. I am most impressed that she was able to fit me in so last minute, and I was in and out in about 1.5 hours, and I felt her treatment plan/actions were appropriate and delibrate. My tooth feels much better now! And of note, it is now Wednesday and I still have not even heard back from the other two dentists I reached out to, both of which offer "urgent" appointments as part of their website services.. FYI also the office building has Capitol Hill Seattle Dentist as the sign, and not Seneca Dental, although Yelp still has this business listed as Seneca Dental. read more

I've been a patient here for over fifteen years. Most of the staff is Awesome, there are 2 cleaners that are not so great. The front desk is Amazing and they do not give you any lies about cost. I have paid out of pocket for most of my work, and they will work with you when other dentists will not. I also have had serious dental trauma from the military and the dentists and front desk are Fabulous about making sure you are comfortable. This is why I've been a long term pt. All that said there are more current treatments and technologies that are either not known here or the dentists are not trained in. Implants in Canada cost $4k total and they use technologies that do not require bone grafts. Here the cost is $12K. Bone graft another $4K. Canada has a better way to do xrays that do not require huge heavy contraptions that you bite on, and the x rays come out cleaner and more clear. For implants and xrays, it's cheaper and better to go to Canada. Otherwise Seneca, now CH Dental is great for people who have been traumatised by dentists in the past. read more

Wow, this dental office is awesome. I was late for my first appointment. (Sorry.) But the hygienist, Lee, managed to give my teeth an effective clean without discomfort. Her touch was quick, powerful and smooth. Then Dr.Lao gave me helpful explainations and reminders for my teeth condition. She was very friendly. And the administration staff, Nancy, was very knowledgeable and savvy to navigate the insurance plans. I had a great experience with this dental office. Thank you. read more

I could not recommend this place enough! The ladies working there are the kindest and most down to earth people. My husband and I are new to the Seattle area, So we were hesitant on finding a dental practice in the area that would fit my needs. I had the pleasure to been seen by Lee who was my hygienist and who was amazing at cleaning. I have super sensitive teeth and she respected that and found ways to help me with that. Dr. Kim who I presume is the main dentist there, was also fabulous! She went straight to the point but also very personable and friendly! I was terrified to get a gum graft, but after years of avoiding it, I finally made the appointment. And I'm so glad I did because Dr. Hong did an amazing job! Not only did he do a great job on my gums, but he was constantly checking in with me during the procedure to see how I was feeling. My mouth is doing great, healed without a problem, and if I ever have to do this again (hopefully not!) I will absolutely see Dr. Hong! I've already referred two coworkers to Seneca Dental and we would all recommend it. read more

Couldn't possibly be less empathetic over the phone. I have a broken tooth and a lot of pain and the lady I talked to just didn't give a fuck. Her number one priority was who my insurance was, then offered "Today (Thursday) is our Friday and we're booked all afternoon, we can try to see you on Tuesday"... I am really thankful that this dental office was open during this pandemic, I had a divot on one my teeth that worried me as I have had dental wear and many cavities. They were able to get me scheduled ASAP and was able to see me sooner. Dr. Lao was very direct and knowledgeable, she explained that it's just the tooth anatomy. She recommended that I continue to wear my retainers to prevent future wear, but otherwise said I had beautiful teeth. I'm actually a dental assistant but ironically, I have a ton of dental anxiety from previous experiences and wasn't exactly warm and fuzzy, but they didn't take it personally and remained very tactful. The front desk was great too, my dental insurance was a little hard to find, but they were diligent and creatively found it and confirmed it as active. Both the dental assistant and Dentist we very nice and knowledgeable. I highly recommend!! It's taken years, after my dentist in Seattle moved to Issaquah, to find another good one. And Dr. Joe Kim at Seneca Dental is it! I first saw him when I fell and chipped a tooth. They took me immediately, even though I was not a regular patient. Another time I needed a root canal and a crown. I'd had a crown by a different dentist for a different issue years ago and I've always hated it, it just looked like a blob. Dr. Kim, when ready to put in my new crown sent it back, he didn't like the way it looked or sat in my mouth. Just love these guys. read more

I found Seneca Dental through my insurance provider so I wasn't sure what to expect, but Dr. Lao exceeded all expectations. I had a broken tooth that two other dentists told me was a lost cause, but Dr. Lao was able to repair it quickly and relatively painlessly. I have seen a lot of dentists in the 15 years of living in the Seattle area. To top it off I have lived in what seems like the Dental Deltas of the area, Northgate and Kenmore, so I have seen a lot of highly recommended dentists as well. After numerous experiences where I did not get a straight answer from a dentist, or it directly contradicted what another said, and the topping it off with a root canal recommendation for my 5 yo son from a pediatric dentist, we were feeling pretty frustrated. Luckily I met one more dentist, and she is the one we love, Dr. Anh Lao. Our whole family sees her, we schedule family dental day and all trek to Capital Hill together because it's 100% worth it. She is smart, direct, a wonderful person, and clearly very skilled. We won't see anyone else. read more

I woke up recently with extreme pain. Thanks to a neighbor's recommendation, I called Dr Kim and got an immediate appointment. She did a thorough exam and spent considerable time explaining what was going (temporary inflammation that healed itself). I followed this up with another appointment for cleaning. The hygienist was first rate. If you want to feel well cared for, this is the dentist for you! read more

Can you actually say you enjoying going to the Dentist? I can! All of the staff here are really nice, they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and ease your anxeity about going to the dentist. Even if it's been longer than you'd like to admit sense your last visit the staff, hygienist and doctors here will let you start with a fresh slate without giving you a guilt trip. I recently had some filings done, one was a front tooth that need to be redone after years of ware and tear. I was really worried about the front tooth because it is the focus of my smile after all. The Dr. did an amazing job! It looks beautiful. He was also very gentle during the process and after my two hour appointment I left feeling great about my oral health. I recommend this place to anyone, they will treat you so well you'll keep your appointments. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Anh Lao for years. I'm so glad she is at this conveniently located office now. The office is super friendly and great location right on Capitol Hill with a free parking lot. Parking can be a pain anywhere on the hill but having a connected lot saves soooo much time. The staff is very knowledgeable, efficient, gentle, and friendly. I am in and out with no pain in my mouth or wallet. The office staff are very knowledgeable with the insurance side of things. Thanks for keeping my smile nice and white! Keep on looking. After many years being very satisfied with the 'old' team at Seneca Dental, I was sure disappointed when I met with the new ownership for a routine cleaning. She has about the personality of a root canal but without the novocaine. I felt my teeth were being examined for future business opportunities rather than a routine cleaning and checkup. Felt like a money-making racquet rather than patient-centered dentistry. I miss the old team and excellent care they provided; I will not be going back. read more

I went in to have a chipped tooth fixed (first time patient here) and the dentist filed away the tooth next to the chip on accident, and wouldn't admit to it or fix it. It's a noticeable notch out of my tooth, and she claimed it always looked like that-but like any person, I know my teeth, and now there's a gouge out of one of my two front teeth! Seneca Dental is excellent! Anh Lao, DDS does beautiful, efficient work and is extremely kind and caring. She's always meticulous and thorough. The staff is all friendly, competent and very helpful. They get you in and out with a minimum of waiting, and make you feel really well-cared for! I recommend this place highly! Honestly this place really is as good as it gets--friendly, helpful receptionists; the AMAZING Dr. Linda Kim; the fast turnaround with the meticulous dental services. A few things that really stand out for me: 1. The receptionists will go over the pricing and your dental insurance coverage in careful, transparent detail. Historically I have always had trouble finding out up-front what exactly I will be paying. With Seneca Dental, I'll always know how much I'm paying and what I am paying for. 2. The absolutely fantastic dedication the dental staff has for their patients!! I have learned more about proper periodontal health in one cleaning session with Seth than I could have dreamed of! And the sheer level of patient details that Dr. Kim remembers is always astounding! She remembered I am more sensitive to pain than the average patient and made sure I was comfortable in the following appointment. read more
