Great dentists, terrible administration. Hard to make an appointment; no one returns calls, they work limited hours. Paperwork processing is a nightmare. Seems to be a revolving door up front, and miss the staff who were there about a year ago. Seriously thinking about finding a new provider. It would be nice if they would correct this situation as it dramatically takes away from their practice, and if they could get the people up front to be polite and responsive instead of allowing them to spend their time trying to dox customers who leave negative reviews. read more

Really awesome team here! The second Dr Park is my only trusted dentist! They took an awful mouth and in the span of like two weeks I got cavities filled, teeth extracted, and a brand new mouth for 2023. Dr. David Park is so kind, leaves rooms for questions, and takes his own personal time to check up on patients. He works incredibly hard and it shows! I can't believe it's been almost 5 years since my initial review, but I wanted to reaffirm the great service provided by Dr Park and his team. In fact, now there are two Doctors Park as his son joined the practice. I always find the office clean and professional and the hygienists and dentists I find to do an unusually meticulous job. We now have our children go here since their dentist closer to home stoped accepting children patients during the pandemic. Dr. Park was happy to work with kids and did a great job! Anyone looking for a friendly and thorough family dentist should consider giving 4th and Madison a shot, particularly if you live or work near downtown. read more

I love love love these guys! Everyone here is the best at what they do. They have been super helpful letting me make payments on some unexpected work that i needed and could not afford at the time. Thank you so much you guys. you are the best! I can't believe I left this out. If you refer just 1 patient they will give you free 1 session of teeth whitening. The expensive one that's done in one session. I will have to update this review after I get mine because I finally got someone else to become patient. Hmm - what to say. Do you like to get root canals? Do you like rude dental hygienists that are slow and overly brutal? If so, 4th and Madison is the way to go! I am convinced Dr. Park messed up during a filling and caused me to get a root canal. His hygienist took over an hour to clean my teeth. Overall I felt there were better dentists. Junk... dont go here. I went here and got a bunch of dental work done based on Dr Park's recommendation, later to find out that he recommended a lot of unnecessary work. Issues - 2 fillings fell out after 6 months. BAD! - a couple crowns, new dentist told me that the crown work was really bad b/c it was created too big. BAD! - Rushed me to do procedures without properly telling me. BAD! New dentist is amazing, in comparison, it is night and day difference. Your teeth are important, if you value your teeth dont come here. FYI: you NEVER see Dr Park's name as a "Top Dentist" in Seattle Metropolitan Magazine or any other lists. read more

I wouldn't have even thought to have written a review for this dental practice had it not been for the astonishingly negative reviews I saw when I came to this page. What I see here for the most part does not reflect my personal experience with this business and I decided to write this to make it clear this is a high-quality establishment and it shocks me that some of the ratings here would reflect otherwise. Having been a patient of the practice for many years I have had a few procedures performed aside from my usual cleanings, and each procedure's necessity was explained carefully and clearly to me by Dr. Park. This combined with the manageable payment plan the office manager helped me set up and the gentleness with which the procedures were done made for as pleasant an experience as you could hope to have at a dental office. The staff is incredibly kind, calling me by my name and making me feel like a person and not just another patient, and I also have to commend the efficient yet careful work that is done by the doctor, the assistants and hygienists, and the front office workers. I would hope it is understood that the negative reviews here do not reflect the majority of patients. Everyone I have talked to during my visits has never been anything but satisfied with their experience at the practice. As a sidenote I wonder about the filtered reviews shown at the bottom...are they all positive reviews that have been shelved? Wondering about the filtering system and if that might be affecting the rating shown. Hm. Needless to say I would recommend 4th and Madison without hesitation. read more

Like many people, I'm wary of dentists and a bit, um, emotionally scarred from the incompetent ones I've had in the past. It's a big deal to trust someone with your teeth! I found Fourth and Madison years ago when I worked downtown, and I refuse to change dentists now even though it's now a thirty minute drive for me to get there. They are just SO ridiculously nice, SO caring, and SO calming. Dr. Park knows what he's doing and has great judgment but lets you make your own decision. He's never pushed dental work that isn't truly necessary or that's overly aggressive. All the dental hygienists are gentle and lovely. Sheryl at the front desk is the sweetest human ever. You will feel like you're in safe hands here. read more

STAY AWAY! I have confirmed that this dentist orders unnessary procedures. It's not worth your time or money. I've been going to this dentist office for more than 15 years. A few years ago my favorite dentist retired and sold to Dr. Park. While I love the receptionist, I wasn't a big fan of Dr. Park because he never remembered me and his cigarette breath wasn't my favorite. But, a creature of habit, I kept going. He kept insisting that I get major work done (a root canal or similar) and then the next time I saw him he'd forget all about it and suggest something different- also major work. It finally came to a head when he told me that since I had waited so long with a gap in my mouth, that I'd have to do $6K of reconstructive surgery- even though I had been there every six months and he had never suggested any such work. Plus, the X-Ray he was showing me was a year old! I ran into one of the old staff and they confirmed that they quit when they realized he was ordering unnecessary procedures. Don't go here. Get a better dentist. read more

I got a root cannal and a crown with Dr. Steve Park after he told me that doing this would be the best alternative. Few months latter my tooth broke and I got a masive infection which it was finally controlled by surgery with another dentist. I got to pay this surgery and also the costs of the new treatment that this time involved an inplant. Dr. Steve Park didn't want to get any kind of responsability for this action neither make a refound for what I paid. Later on, when I was collecting second opinion about this treatment, I was told by two diferent dentist that this treatment made by Dr. Steve Park shouldn't be done in the first place. Now I'm in the process of getting these guys in cort to try getting my money back... read more

I'm one of those folks that hates going to the dentist--but I don't ever have to worry about coming in to see Dr. Park and his staff. This office is great. I've had filling done and general cleaning and all has gone smoothly with as very little pain as I can expect. Dr. Park is kind,gentle, and listens. Which I need because I get easily frightened! The staff is very friendly and professional. I made the mistake of seeing another doctor briefly and rushed back to 4th & Madison after I realized the difference in quality care. I went here for a few years and thought it was an acceptable dentist. Dr. Park recommended a night guard for me which I agreed to. When I got it the night guard was really uncomfortable and didn't feel right, Park told me it would take some getting used to and I believed him. I never got used to it, it was extremely uncomfortable and generally didn't feel like it was fitting right. I went back 5 times over the next 3 months for 'adjustments' in which Park would shave a tiny amount of the plastic down and tell me it would feel better in a few weeks. I'm at a new dentist now and just got a new night guard formed. This one is comfortable immediately, no adjustments necessary. After going through the experience I am positive the hygienist formed my night guard wrong at Park's office. This would have been fine if they would have taken real steps to correct the issue but Park never took me seriously. One the other hand the receptionists are some of the nicest women I have ever met and super awesome and easy to work with. read more

I love the front desk staff, have been going here mainly for that reason. I'm not a fan of Dr. Park, though. He repeatedly recommended different procedures that were not necessary, and when I politely refused, just kept it up next time. The hygenist even reminded him at one point that I had already refused one recommendation. Once he poked me in the gums with his sharp pick to show me what could happen if I didn't have the cosmetic filling he was recommending. I finally caved and had it done, and regretted it. Another time had a temporary crown crumble apart in my mouth, had to come in and have it redone, that was a first. I take good care of my teeth, and instead of being rewarded for it, always felt like he was disappointed he wasn't making more money off of me. Good bye, Dr. Park. read more

I could not believe how awesome the staff was at 4th & Madison Dental. It had been several years since my last dental exam, and even though I was pretty sure that I had a couple cavities, I waited as long as possible before making an appointment. After the way my experience went, I feel silly for having waited so long. When I called, I was able to get a new patient appointment a mere two business days later, and was able to get some dental work done in the same session. In fact, dispite the embarassing number of fillings I needed, they were able to get all of them completed AND my wisdom teeth pulled over the course of three days. At no point did anyone berate me for going so long between cleanings/exams, and the staff-- all of them-- were fantasticly helpful. From the chipper receptionist who gave me a cost estimate before any work was done, to the hygenist and dental assistants who helped keep me calm, to both of the very talented and gentle dentists themselves; this is one business very worthy of their positive reviews. read more

I (unfortunately) have had some extensive dental work done recently, and I was not excited about it. If you hate the dentist, 4th and Madison will make you hate it less.Cheryl, the receptionist, is an absolute sweetheart and will ask how you're doing. The catch? She actually cares. It's nice. Dr Park is meticulous and clearly takes patient care and "chairside" manner very seriously. A kind man who is good at what he does. My first visit there, which was just a cleaning, was so thorough. They even got a little camera so I could check out their work. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the hygienists, but Sunita is my favorite. I've been seeing Dr. Park and his staff for almost a decade and have always been happy with his work. When I saw Dr. Park for the first time I was so anxious and refused to smile because of my teeth. I had lost a lot of bone in my upper jaw and needed and very long bridge - about 7-8 teeth. Dr. Park promised me he'd fix my mouth and he did just that and was able to ease my anxiety about my situation. I have the most amazing bridge and he restored my self confidence. That front office staff is excellent and friendly and I love my hygienist. As much as I hate going to the dentist, I always know my experience will be good. I have been coming here for a couple of years. The entire staff has always been great. Dr. Park is so calm and soft spoken and hasn't suggested anything I don't need. He is even working with me to get some chips on my front teeth from when I was younger and thought they were all purpose tools fixed. Today I was scheduled for a teeth whitening procedure and Cheryl advised against it because I haven't quit smoking and recommended a basic cleaning instead because of how smoking will negatively impact my teeth after the whitening is done and ran a pre determined benefit for the chip repairs to make sure that my insurance will cover them and have a price for me when I do it rather than guessing and hoping it will be covered. They are by far the best dental team I have been to since I was a child and went to Dr. Ribrary in Gig Harbor. I hope I never need to go to any other dentist but them.
