The first issue that came up was that they used white pvc pipe in place of conduit on the pump power and that broke off at the well head. This week we called another service company because of a leak at the pressure tank. The pressure tank had a hole rusted it in it. The serviceman said he had never heard of the brand. Two years old. Not happy.

I called Jolander's well service the next morning, and they were out working on it that afternoon. The well pump, down 550 feet, had a short so had to be replaced. Kurtis was very thorough to check everything to make sure the short was not in the long, expensive wire to the pump, checked the circuit breakers and, in short (no pun) made sure they needed to pull and exchange the 5hp pump. It was obvious that Kurtis was very knowledgeable and careful/meticulous/experienced in his work. He was meticulous in putting things back together, solid electrical connections, strong pipe connections, and just everything. Kurtis and his super efficient assistant had everything done with just 7 hours of labor. When they finished, one couldn't tell anyone had been around the pump area. No trash, etc. The price for all this, in my opinion, was reasonable. I especially thank Kurtis for taking pains to inspect the 500'+ wire to be sure I could use it in the "new" installation. That saved more than $1000. From everyone on the phone (Grandma was great, too) was courteous and helpful. The day after the installation I had a serious question about a snap when the big pump came on. I called, Grandama answered right away and got Kurtis to call. He explained that this was a normal sound of a magnetic switch closing. All that in 45 minutes. You just can't beat Jolander for service and quality. A+++++++ David Morales

I called to ask why I got a bill for an additional $1,142.79 instead of $3600. I got one excuse after another. They didn't know... the man that did the work didn't work there anymore... that person isn't in the office..... I had paid the original amount and since I never got an explanation for additional charges of $1,142.79, I didn't pay those. Three years later Kutscher Drilling filed a lien with Hays County for $4800 (notice NO credit for the $3600 I already paid!) I didn't know about this lien until I applied for a loan. My credit score is 850 because I pay my bills. I explained the situation to the bank and they said I can't proceed until I paid the lien. I paid Kutscher Drilling the $1142.79 PLUS $863.82 in fee from them AND the filing fee. A MONTH HAS GONE BY AND KUTSCHER REFUSES TO RELEASE THE LIEN. Still excuses... one after another: "no one is in the office, the office is closed, Christy isn't in today, we will do it next week...." THIS COMPANY IS UNETHICAL. I am not the first one to write a bad review. I wonder if they wrote their own good reviews or paid for good reviews? FIND SOMEONE ELSE UNLESS YOU WANT TROUBLE!!

When I asked when they could get started, they were honest and said it would be roughly a year based on the staffing they had. Since we were in no hurry, we agreed. The whole process did take roughly a year. They communicated with us every step of the way. Most of the work happened before holiday weekends, so we assume we were fill in work, which was fine with us. After completion, we added up the cost and compared it to the estimate, and they came in $2,800 below the estimate. I've looked at other reviews on here and I believe that we may have been lucky in hitting clean water at 170 feet. I like that they put in that contingency in case they had to drill a second or third hole. The only thing I can say, is have patience. They are very busy and understaffed, but they do quality work.

They installed a water well for our community, but the quality of their work and their lack of accountability raised serious concerns. To start, the electrical system was improperly wired, creating multiple safety hazards -- including three of their own workers being shocked. I was surprised to find out that they do not use licensed electricians during installs. I had to hire a licensed electrician to fix their mistakes, but Bee Cave Drilling refused to reimburse us for the cost. They also failed to keep their promised schedule. They told us the job would be completed by Friday, only to inform us late that evening that they wouldn't return until Monday. The well still wasn't operational, and they had not advised us to pre-order water. Our neighborhood had already been without water for weeks and we had to band together to finish the job just to get access to water. Following a billing dispute related to these issues, Bee Cave Drilling informed us they would no longer provide service -- effectively walking away from their responsibility. Fast forward five years, the pump they installed has now failed. According to the new drilling company making the repairs, this failure was likely caused by poor installation from the start. The wiring was damaged -- possibly from being dragged along the steel casing -- and the jacket had been stripped with multiple splices near the pump. At that depth, the extreme pressure can cause shorts and system failure. They also failed to install a check valve to manage back pressure and didn't properly set the pump saver, which allowed the well to run dry. The current contractors believe any or all of these mistakes may have contributed to the pump's failure. We are now facing nearly $30,000 in repair and replacement costs due to Bee Cave Drilling's substandard work and inexperience. I cannot recommend Bee Cave Drilling in good conscience. Their poor workmanship, lack of professionalism, and refusal to stand behind their work have caused serious, long-term problems. I hope this review helps others avoid a similar experience.
