It's been more than a minute since we've been into Wildflower and I guess we should of stopped in sooner. We were looking for a good Reuben sandwich and from the reviews on yelp we decided to give it a try. The service was very good and the staff was very helpful and the food was delightful. I had the Reuben and French onion soup. My wife also had a Reuben and tomato basil soup. The sandwich was top notch and the rye bread was what you would expect from Wildflower. We will be back again. read more

Came here after searching on Yelp for a good lunch spot and Yelp came through for us. We were in the area and stopped here for an early lunch. I ordered a turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sandwich, which was just great. Not completely unusual as the sandwiches are pretty common but if not done right, they can taste "off". This one was put together well, didn't fall apart, and tasted great. We also ordered avocado toast and a tuna sandwich and both were solid. For anyone looking for an alternative to the chain, quick service breakfast/lunch chains in the area, this is a good alternative. read more

I just moved to Tempe and was looking for a nice place to eat and get some studying/ work done and came across Wildflower. This is such a perfect place for lunch, they have large tables and booths perfect for getting work done since they have wifi. I ordered half a Turkey and Brie sandwich with an Asian salad it was so so good and filling. The dressing they used on the salad was so good. The staff at Wildflower was also really great they were kind and answered all of the questions I had about the menu. We love Wildflower but today it was EXTRA good! My sister and I split a Ruben sandwich and Sean H. made it for us - BEST one we've ever had! The meat was cut thin and nice and hot, and the meat was well spread out with n the delicious rye bread (which was toasted perfectly) so there were no "empty" bites - each bite had perfect combo of meat, sauerkraut, and yummy thousand island dressing (hate it when the insides of a sandwich are all in the middle and you get a lot of bites of bread with no good stuff). I asked for extra thousand island dressing and our server Brittany brought it to us quickly. She was awesome and so helpful! Total yum! read more

The water was delicious. The bread for the sandwiches was good. The Almond Tuna sandwich was just soso. The Turkey and Brie was good according to my Mom.. The Corn and Green Chili Soup was so mild and watered down. The coffee horrendous. The inside of the restaurant is very cramped. The staff friendly. Overall it's just very low on the average scale. I didn't think much of it at first, but then I watched the owner heat the pastrami in the microwave before assembling the sandwich. I've never had a deli sandwich prepared that way right in front of me, and it was disappointing. She also pulled out a large bag of Taylor Farms shredded lettuce. I asked for no lettuce, and she joked that "people don't want lettuce anymore." Given the recent news surrounding Taylor Farms, that comment didn't exactly inspire confidence. What really surprised me was that the pastrami was placed in a plastic basket and microwaved. Whether or not it's considered safe, seeing food heated that way wasn't very appetizing. Looking around, there also didn't appear to be any real kitchen equipment for preparing hot sandwiches beyond a microwave. A Blackstone griddle or even a quality countertop oven would have inspired much more confidence in the food, especially considering the owner's Yelp responses emphasizing the quality of their sandwiches. From what I experienced, the preparation didn't match those claims. In the end, we ordered just one pastrami sandwich and one beer, and the total came to about $25, with the sandwich alone costing over $17. For that price, I expected much better ingredients and preparation. Unfortunately, the quality didn't match the cost. We tried to be as nice as possible but we left feeling pretty disappointed and couldn't wait to get out of there.

It's pretty crunchy and a little hard to bite into, so don't be surprised if you leave with the roof of your mouth feeling scratched up. They also give you a little chocolate chip cookie with your sandwich, and that thing was pretty damn good. It's a nice little bonus. Disappointing Experience -- Patio Smoking Makes Dining Unpleasant…read moreI visited Lee's Sandwiches on Warner Road today and was very disappointed by the conditions outside and inside the restaurant. A group of men regularly sit on the patio playing cards for money and smoking heavily. The smoke becomes so thick that it's nearly impossible to enjoy sitting outside. Even worse, the cigarette smoke drifts into the restaurant, making it uncomfortable to sit and eat indoors as well. Customers shouldn't have to choose between breathing cigarette smoke outside or being exposed to it inside while trying to enjoy a meal. I hope management will address this situation. The patio should be a place where customers can comfortably sit and eat, and cigarette smoke shouldn't be making its way into the dining area. I'd appreciate seeing management take this concern seriously. Several reviews mention that men often smoke heavily outside the entrance and in the outdoor seating area. Some reviewers also note that the outdoor area can get crowded with men playing cards and smoking on a daily basis. We had to leave and eat our food elsewhere. Food was fine, fresh sandwiches, tasty.

I stumbled upon this Wildflower Bread Company location some time ago when my office was around the corner in the same shopping center. It is nestled between Changing Hands bookstore and Steinmart.. near TraderJoe's.. It felt like home. On my lunch break I loved to slowly browse through Changing Hands.. the nag champa lingering in the air.. then walk through the common door into the restaurant for a warm bread bowl of their potato soup with an apple juice. Their Wildflower Almond Tuna sandwich was also a little slice of heaven. Their menu is warm and inviting and absolutely divine. Please try their Spinach and Artichoke Lasagna and the Salmon Alfredo. I try to make it back when I'm on that side of town, but, also enjoy their other locations around town. PS: Did I mention that they have free wifi? It is my preferred gathering place for casual business meetings. Their relaxed atmosphere allows for non-interrupted conversations and creative energy. read more

My Mom and I stopped in today for lunch at noon. Super busy time but we wanted your yummy soup and Buffalo chicken sandwich. During our visit we were assisted and waited upon by a very nice young man dressed in white shirt. He was pleasant, professional and very punctual. My mom said, "I bet that is the manager". She went to find him, and it turns out that it was Jonathan's first day at the Café. I went to find the manager to let him know what a fantastic employee he had hired. Both Anthony and Jonathan were together, so I was able to thank them both for the fantastic service, fantastic food and to let Anthony know he made a fantastic hiring decision in Jonathan. Well played Wildflower Café in Tempe! Thank you!! read more

I don't usually write Yelp reviews, but I had to give a shoutout to Michael at Wildflower. he is an absolute gem! Every time I come in, he's welcoming, kind, and goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect. You can tell he genuinely cares about the customers and takes pride in what he does. Whether it's remembering my usual order or offering great menu suggestions, Michael's service is always top-tier. He brings such a positive energy to the place, it's contagious! Wildflower is already a great spot for fresh, delicious food, but Michael makes the experience even better. Highly recommend stopping by and saying hi, you'll leave with a full stomach and a smile. read more

I have been a frequent customer at WFBC. Until now. Today when a customer was offering what seemed to be an apology for complaining about the very loud music playing the week prior, she snapped back at him the she didn't care, he was just a MAGA asshole (he had a Trump coffee cup). It never ceases to amaze me the stupidity of these people for the treatment of others because they have a different political point of view. He asked for her name and she refused to give it to him. If I owned this store she would have been fired on the spot. Shame on her and that type of childish behavior. Especially when she is the manager. read more

We lived in Tempe for twenty-seven years before relocating to Tucson. Too many times to count, we wound up at Wildflower and wandered through their perfect menu hitting all my gastro high notes. We happened through Tempe today and my car's autopilot did not fail me, another fine meal off the menu before heading back to Tucson. Please, please help me reduce my carbon foot print and consider putting a Wildflower in the Old Pueblo. Tucson will line up and make you not regret creeping towards the border. And, a special thanks to Frank who served us today, a perfect host who made us feel like we never left! read more

Hi, Just a quick note about this restaurant. We order catering at least once a week, if not more from Wildflower Bread Company. The entire staff is great to work with, but I really want to call out your Catering Manage, Mishelle, The Wonder Caterer. I'm vegan and originally I was shocked at how many vegan friendly options this company has. I've come here for months and stopped because I often have little faith that there will be food that's vegan friendly. This was the worst experience I have had in a long time. It took 30 minutes to get our food which was only soup and salad. When my soup came out it wasn't even hot. Also my husbands salad never came out. When he politely asked for a manager, the woman that he spoke with was dismissive of the complaint and seemed irritated. Stainless steel tables, basic menus etc. I was greeted by a very sweet and nice server... but she didn't introduce herself... she just wiggled her fingers at me in some sort of a wave then proceeded to lean down and look at the screen of my phone and compliment the picture on it..... ok?! Thanks girl. This is weird. Don't look at my phone. I'm a server, I've been in the service industry for 22 years. There's a line between 'friendly' and ' we're friends' and our server leaned towards the latter. She was also dressed in a mid drift shirt which her belly and belly button ring were exposed and at the table I caught her twiddling her long dangling belly button ring in nervousness multiple times. That's super gross We both order our food and the real confusing thing about this place is, in the middle of the restaurant there seems to be a self serve 'bar' kind of thing filled with jelly and hot sauces etc.. My friend needed a jelly and a butter for her toast so I just walked up and grabbed it. Within seconds some girl approached me and asked me what I was doing. I apologized and told her I assumed this was self serve because it LOOKS self serve. She told me it wasn't, I told her what I needed and I sat down. Confusing layout. I had ordered a matcha drink and it was good. I finished it. The server came by and asked if I liked it because she had made it herself and I said yes! And she goes 'wait? You don't like it? What's wrong with it? And then proceeded to explained how she changes the way she makes it so the matcha doesn't sink to the bottom. I drank it.,, it was good. I don't need a play by play. This is unprofessional as an interaction. I was uncomfortable. Ok girl. I just told you it was good. We're fine. Thank you. The food was FINE. You can tell the omelettes were made in some sort of mold and not on a grill by a person by hand, so seeing as empty as the restaurant was I was confused why it took so long to get 2 basic omelettes. My order was missing my hash browns but whatever. The food was good. I could have made this at home. In all honesty the service and the professionalism of the staff needs to be reevaluated. Touching a belly button ring next to my head while I'm ordering food is actually insane. I wouldn't return... but only because of the odd service. The basic food was good I guess.
