We are out-of-towners on vacation. We ordered a couple sandwiches and toasts. Carrot cake was bussin'. Avocado toast was good. Tuna sandwiches were delicious. Wildflower salad was very good. If I could change anything, if I ever come back, I would ask for light fig jam on the fig ricotta toast. I must not have read the description well. I was expecting toast with ricotta and sliced figs with pistachios and honey drizzled over. Prices were very fair, especially when compared with California prices at comparable eateries. Anyhow, overall this place is a solid three or four stars out of five, so I'll give them the four. Especially since they are dog friendly. read more

We enjoyed Wildflower so much we ate here twice on our last trip to Phoenix and we'll definitely come back.. Fresh product and generous portions. - Cheddar Braised Beef Hot tender braised beef, cheddar and caramelized onions, mashed potatoes and arugula on grilled Ciabatta Roll, served with au jus, horseradish sauce, original and sweet potato chips Very tasty, too bad it's only a seasonal item. - Hungarian Beef and the Hearty Beef and Vegetable soup. The perfect Choose-Two option on a cold Phoenix night. They also didn't skimp on the beef. - Unlike the Chandler location, Tempe's location gives a full cookie with each kid's meal. You only get a 1/2 cookie in Chandler. - Could really upgrade their drink options. If you've never been to wildflower before, it's worth a try. They have soups, salads, Sammy's, and a few other items on the menu. The food is usually pretty fresh and tasty. It's a little pricy for what it is, but not terrible. Their breads are pretty flavorful and I believe they bake them themselves. Check them out! read more

This was such a great way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon. The bookstore and cafe combined two of my favorite things- Brunch and Books. The books can be purchased new or gently used. The cafe's aromas proved impossible to resist and we quickly allowed our stomachs to lead us from the books to the Cafe. My friend and I enjoyed the Sweet potato and greens protein bowl, and the red white and blue freshly baked bread. First time trying it all: won't be my last. The protein bowl was enough for leftovers but the loaf of bread barely made it home. It was a gift from my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Green tea sweetened with honey rounded out my meal. I stopped here on a whim cuz I like the bookstore next door and not to be dramatic but this might have been the best lunch I've ever had. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with an antipasto salad and a chocolate chip scone and it was all amazing. The sandwich had just the right amount of spice and creaminess in the sauce and the crunch from the chips was just chefs kiss. The bread was also so soft and warm. I thought this would just be like a Panera but it is about a million times better. Now I get to go look at some books with my refreshing iced tea. 10/10. Will be bringing my husband back. read more

The good the bad and the cold Had lunch here today and to be honest it was eh for me at best. My wife had the veggie soup came out cold and half tuna sandwich, myself I had the half chicken salad sandwich with potato cream soup.. Both soups were served cold which how does that happen if made from scratch? I asked the server to heat both up, no problem ten minutes later soup came back and the bowls were so hot you couldn't touch the sides but yep soup cold, forget it took a couple bites and to my surprise their is ham in the potato cream soup, I don't eat pork, so that was a waste, why would you not say potato and ham cream soup so you know what you are getting.. My wife enjoyed her veggie soup but after the so called reheat it was still cold like right out of the fridge cold.. So soup is not your thing obviously and it is obviously not made by scratch in house or it would have been HOT.. She did like the tuna sandwich so that was a plus. This is for a take out order. I understand business is trying to save costs. I ordered it two sandwich meals, a pasta meal, a salad, the brussels sprouts and dessert. they brought me one paper bag with everything in it. I mentioned that it was pretty full, the lady had to bring it with both hands to my car. She was super nice however so I took my food and left when I got home. The second I lifted the bag with both hands. It completely tore and spilled all of the contents into the street. I had to throw away half a sandwich and my pasta because it was all over the road, disappointing. Maybe next time bag two different bags to avoid this problem. read more

This is my go-to spot for good hearty coffee and a wide assortment of breakfast treats. Everything from bagels, to muffins, to eggs, pancakes and all kinds of stuff I can't pronounce. As far as I know it is all freshly made on site and served with a smile. The bagels are great but I think their schmears are amazing and even though lox is not my thing, theirs is quite good! The place and employees are definitely practicing social distance seating and safety precautions (employees wearing masks, single use condiments & sanitation). This was the first time trying this place but was immediately greeted in the ordering area. I opted for the Asian Salad and added on Salmon filet. The salmon was cooked properly and the everything in the salad was fresh and the dressing was nice and light. It comes with very thick cut bread which was fresh sliced, or at least appeared to be.
