Kid ordered the steak frites and this was the biggest disappointment of the night. VERY small serving....about 4 slices of perhaps rib eye? Under seasoned and very thin slices. Fries were crunchy though. My kid isn't a big eater and he was still hungry after eating this. Chicken nachos were delicious plentiful, but it came with huge cherry tomatoes on it. More tomatoes than cheese! And the cheese was grated cheese. Not a creamy bechamel cheese sauce. They barely put any cheese on this. Mostly tomatoes and sour cream. Pass on this. I can't get their beer where I live anymore, so I picked up my brother in law and we took a long trip, the Springfield tap room was our first stop. I called ahead & talked with Randi, the general manager. When we arrived, they had my favorite Hopvalley IPA on tap as she promised. We were greeted with smiles and a handshake on our arrival. Just like the beer, the food was top quality. Made of fresh ingredients and came out quick and hot. The onion rings for our appetizer were some of the best I have ever had. The Alphadelic IPA on draft was excellent, well worth the long drive for our first round. Our dinners were well cooked and presented, me a cob salad and my brother a BLTA. He switched up to a gin & tonic (made perfectly), and I had a Cryostash for my second round, can't be beat. The service is the punch line, this is the how you do it part. Excellent all night. This was a Saturday evening, the tap room was packed. All the staff were working hard and moving fast. But the key was, they all had smiles on their faces. The took time to talk and listen to every customer, including us. This does not happen by accident, it happens by prioritizing creating a great customer experience, but ultimately comes from people truly caring about what they are doing and how they are doing their job. We had a great time the entire evening, could not have been better, but it was. They gave me a very gracious present for coming from a long distance. I mention this only to illustrate the caring that I am pointing to. We already had the best evening of our trip, and that last gesture comes from the heart. They did not need to do anything like that, and they did. It came from the general manager and all the staff with a hand signed card. This restores one's belief in simple kindness. If I was local, I would be a regular. These people no only put out great product and excellent service, but they genuinely care, and it shows in how they do their work. The fish and chips was sad, the pieces they gave were tiny very dense and breaded almost like a chicken strip and they looked like half of a tilapia fillet, definitely not what I expected from the GIANT picture on their reader board. Dairy Queen's chicken fingers are bigger than these pieces of fish. The tartar sauce is prepackaced and super processed and very chemical tasting. The saddest part is what they call their coleslaw, I get it, its a burger joint but dang the coleslaw is literally cabbage and no sauce, no flavor, there seems to be very little QC or manager checking food and taste on some stuff here at this location. The service at the window is always friendly and prompt once you get up there but the wait is usually pretty bad. I know you guys are local and I know you guys can do better. Whoever is managing this location you need to step up the QC on things like the slaw, make your own tartar sauce, and just step it up. The owner happened to be there as well and took the time to visit with us about the restaurant. I ordered the toxic burger with extra pickles, which is my standard go-to choice at every Toxic location. Plus the chicken dippers with raspberry habanero and pineapple jerk sauces. My husband ordered the Cali burger. Food was absolutely delicious. Everything was perfect. I love making my own homemade barbecue sauces all the time, so when I find restaurant ones I really like and crave, I develop a small obsession. Which is absolutely the case with their raspberry habanero sauce. I was beyond excited that they have it at this location, as not all of them do. Apparently they are working on getting all of the same sauces at every location, which I think is awesome. Restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and comfortable. It's an old Jack in the Box building, so they've utilized the drive-thru as well as indoor dining. Would I return? Absolutely. A million times over. I've been to each and every Toxic location, and this one is hands down one of my favorites. This is such an amazing, small, local business to get behind and support. I've never actually had a bad or even mediocre experience at any Toxic location, and that is something that speaks volumes to me. Review 28 of 2025

One bag had my name on it, the other had someone else's name on it. This could have been the fault of the driver or the restaurant, both should have been more vigilant. I ordered a 2-meat plate for myself with mac and cheese and onion rings as the side. My partner got the BBQ chicken sandwich with truffle fries and two pieces of Texas toast. Only my food arrived, split across two bags (one of which didn't even have my name on it). My partner's food was completely missing and in its place were sweet potato fries. He had to order something else and wait for it to come. The sweet potato fries were cold and mushy and didn't have much flavor. My plate was packed in the bag vertically so that all of the grease was leaking out into the bag while it was en route. This meant that the entire container, inside and out, was absolutely covered in grease. I could not touch any part of my meal without getting covered in a thick layer of grease. You might think with all that mess that there wouldn't be any grease left for the food, but you'd be wrong! All of my food was very greasy. The mac and cheese was cold and congealed, like it had been sitting all day. The chicken was alright, but greasy. The brisket was shredded (who shreds brisket????) and VERY greasy. The Texas toast was the greasiest of them all. Every bite I took had a significant amount of grease squishing out into my mouth. It was truly foul. The onion rings were also greasy but that is a bit more forgivable since they are fried. I was really looking forward to a nice BBQ dinner at home after a long, tiring day. Alas, I'm left with a greasy life and a headache. Unless you want health issues from all the grease, skip this place and try a different local BBQ joint.
