Ordered to-go online and my order was ready when I arrived. You'll have to go into the Pub House building and out the back door through the tent to be able to access the front of the food cart pod. There doesn't appear to be access to it from the outside. I ordered the brisket, beans, and salad. The salad was super fresh and light and delicious. The building this truck is in is amazing and while we loved the concept, the food was awful. I could not even eat most of it, it was so spicy! We got the pulled pork, Mexican pasta salad, beans and coleslaw. The meat and beans were so spicy you couldn't taste the flavor and the beans were under cooked. If you don't like an overpowering flavor of cilantro, don't eat the pasta or slaw. I like cilantro, but there was no other flavor profile in the two dishes. We may come back to the location because it's in an old beautiful church and the vibe is very cool, but we would not opt for the BBQ again. My stomach was sick after eating just a portion of the meal. My husband's too and he can eat anything! read more

OK, the ambience is a parking lot. But it's a nice parking lot. The service is enthusiastic and they feed our dog treats, so he is enthusiastic about coming down here out. He loves barbecued chicken. This truck recently moved to Public House in Springfield. The owner was super friendly to us and our dog Nova; he came out front to pet her and gave her extra pork pieces. On our last visit he gave us a sampling of the pulled pork plate, and the barbecue sauce was delicious; great combo of seasoning and spice. According to my wife, the smoked mashed potatoes were the best potatoes she has ever had. Now she wants to smoke everything, ha! Son and I tried this out. First off, the owners are friendly and we talked about shared experiences. I then ordered the brisket and my son had the pulled pork sammy. We enjoyed both..the slaw was tasty as well as the other sides. The brisket was on the dry side, but still tasty. We had some beverages from the boutique bar in the same space. As I was walking up to their stand they were talking with customers and calling them by their first names and handing out free cake as it was their businesses anniversary. That alone should say something! The Ribs: In a my past I was military stationed in the south. There's some pride behind this bbq. Greeted with a smile, got a more food than I needed and ate it all. Perfectly structured ribs seasoned just right, moist chicken thighs, deep flavored Cole slaw and a bad ass smoked potato to boot. Wish I could've tried their brisket but they were out. The brisket was tender and moist but the ribs were too spicy for my dining partner so , perhaps, less black pepper will be an option on our next visit. The food was excellent and they brought it to me inside a local business. I had the combo platter and everything was moist and warm unlike most food trucks I've tried. The cole slaw was excellent and did not have too much mayo like many do. My only criticism was it was a little pricey but not enough to dissuade me from returning. It has a good location next to a small distillery/brewery where you can eat inside and enjoy a local micro brew if it is not nice outside, although seating is very limited. The slaw was a nice balance of freshness (thank you cilantro) and creaminess. The bbq sauce had a little kick to it (but not too spicy even for my kinda wimpy taste buds).
