Wild thyme salad
Lyn V.

Great restaurant! You don't expect much in a small town but the service was excellent and the food was great as well! Great ending to our adventurous day. I had the pistachio chicken, the crust was meh for me but the chicken breast was very juicy and the sauce it came with was really good. The asparagus was cooked perfectly. Great dish!

Bison tenderloin

My wife and I stopped in for dinner and the service was outstanding. I wish I could remember our server's name, she was extremely friendly, kind and helpful. The ambiance is very casual and cozy. We shared the bison tenderloin and it was fantastic. Highly recommend. We also enjoyed the apple crips and very thankful it was gluten free so we could share it. I definitely recommend stopping in for dinner.

Ordered a salad and the wild thyme pasta. Got angel hair pasta, tomatoes, basil , garlic deglaze white and butter topped with Parmesan cheese. Served with garlic bread. The salad was served with white balsamic dressing. It was so fresh and delicious. The pasta was so flavorful and delicious. Dessert was the carrot cake. Also delicious and made in house. Great service

Pistachio Chicken

A delightful encounter in Kanab, the small town along the way on our road trip to Salt Lake City. A wonderful meal. Pistachio Chicken: The chicken breast was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a thin, crispy crust that was especially impressive. The sauce blended the mild aroma of Poblano chili, the creamy richness of butter, and the unique fragrance of herbs. Most precious was the pistachio aroma, both vibrant and subtle, without overpowering or masking the other flavors, creating a delicate balance. Even the saltiness was just right, subtle and delicate. The surface was garnished with pico de gallo, fresh, sweet, tangy, and spicy, balancing the potential heaviness of the sauce. The asparaguses were also very fresh, with a natural fragrance, but perhaps a little too mild with the sauce. Kanab Cowboy Ribs: The pork ribs were slow-cooked and roasted until they were so tender that they easily fell off the bone, offering no resistance when cutting into them. The homemade barbecue sauce coated it thickly, rich and sweet, with an authentic American barbecue flavor. It might be a bit too sweet for most Chinese palates, but I thought it was quite good. The agave mustard vinaigrette seemed more decorative; I nearly couldn't really taste it. Lemon Sorbet: Homemade sorbet, offering the most soulful finish. It was breathtakingly beautiful at first glance; the simple white porcelain plate and glass were limpid and elegant, perfectly matching the sorbet's style. Unlike typical sorbets that emphasize extreme acidity, this restaurant took a different approach, with a gentle, even subtle, acidity that brings out the natural, lively fragrance of lemon, like Lolita's touch through pale silk. The texture was also delicate and smooth, without any ice crystals. Everyone was captivated; some even ordered an extra to take away. The restaurant claims that ingredients come from its organic garden. This might be a pointless gimmick, but the cooking and presentation of the dishes conveyed a consistent level of refinement and care, making it all the more valuable.

View from the patio

Found this through Yelp, as usual. Got here before sunset and was seated at the patio. It was such a nice day! You can see view of the mountain. As the sun sets, the patio lights softly brightens and gives the patio a nice romantic vibe! Kelly was really nice and informed us what's on the menu. We had Cabernet Sauvignon, soda, Caesar salad and some wild sliders! The cab is so well priced! Salad and the wild sliders were so good! We enjoyed our view and the meal. My only hesitation of coming back here when we're in the area again is the 3% surcharge for credit card!

We stopped in for dinner while visiting the area, and Wild Thyme Bistro was a wonderful find. The atmosphere is charming and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal after a day of hiking and exploring. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The food was good with everything tasting fresh and well-prepared. The ribs were delicious and saucy, the burgers were also great! If you're passing through Kanab, this is a great spot to grab dinner.

Bacon wrapped meatloaf

Great spot for nicer American food in Kanab. We stopped by on our way from Page, AZ to Zion and were glad we did. I ordered the Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf - it was $31, which seemed slightly pricey, but the portion size was very large, so the price was somewhat justified. The meatloaf itself was cooked well and tasty. A few minor points for improvement are that I was hoping the sauce would be a bit more like BBQ sauce rather than tomato sauce and I also felt that the bacon could've been a bit crispier. The interior of the restaurant has a nice yet chill vibe and there is also a nice outdoor patio seating area. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful. The service speed is fine. Overall, I would say the food here is a solid 4 stars in quality, which is enough to warrant stopping here on a roadtrip through the area.

OMG! If I could have split a meal, this would be it! With meatloaf as big as your head and homemade dessert, COME HUNGRY! My friend had pistachio chicken and it also was tasty! Finish with vanilla ice cream. Deeeelicious! Such a relaxed atmosphere, it was easy to enjoy a long dining experience. Kristy was attentive and friendly! She was ON IT and made it great!

Stopped by Wild Thyme Café for a quick lunch after kayaking the Colorado River, and it ended up being one of the best meals of the trip. Food: I ordered the elk burger with smoked Gouda, house burger sauce, and sage butter smashed potatoes -- and it absolutely blew my mind how good everything was. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, and the potatoes were some of the best I've ever had. It was the kind of meal that completely hits the spot after a long morning outdoors. Service: Our waitress, Marsha, was absolutely outstanding. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel instantly welcome, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Aesthetic: The café has a cozy little dining area with a comfortable, relaxed vibe. I didn't get to see much of the rest of the place, but it felt inviting and genuine. It's a perfect small-town gem.

Not sure how anyone could rate Wild Thyme anything but 5 stars...6 if Yelp would allow it. The setting is one of the most tranquil ever. Service was excellent--friendly, attentive, with great recommendations. The food is better than most places in the Beehive State. A little pricey, but worth every penny. If you're passing through Zion National Park, this is a must do.

What a wonderful way to end the first day of our Road Trip from AZ to Big Sky, MT! Tavez was our server and deserves AT LEAST 10 stars! He quickly picked up on our vibe and interacted perfectly with us all night. We are are trio: me, hubby and MIL. We enjoyed cocktails to start the night and Tavez quickly explained UT pour laws (1.5 oz...WTH??) but appreciated the heads up. Tavez was great to explain the menu and offer suggestions. Two of us ordered the Pistachio Chicken and I had the Trout. Both dishes were amazing! And everything else we saw come out of the kitchen looked just as tasty. We ended the night with Caramel Cheesecake (another suggestion from Tavez - along with Key Lime Pie but we'll have to try that next time!) and it was delicious! MIL was only going to have one bite but we ended up sharing it three ways 'cuz it was that good! Great place! Highly recommend and ask for Tavez...he really elevated our experience!

Angel hair pasta
Liz M.

Our server was nice but I don't think I would go back. We spent about $30 on this plate.... No drinks... just this angel hair pasta.... It was way over garlicky... I couldn't even taste the butter or cheese.

We decided to get lunch since it was lunch time anyways and we were hungry. We found the place to be quite busy but there were a few tables available so there wasn't any wait. I had read some reviews about this place earlier and they were mixed. The negative reviews were about people of color being treated poorly, so it wasn't high on my list of places to try while visiting Kanab. I am Filipino and my husband is black. Fortunately, we did not experience any bad or rude behavior. Upon entering, we were quickly acknowledged and greeted by a friendly employee who seated us and also ended up being our server. Service was quick and efficient and our server was always smiling and checking up on us frequently. My stomach had been bothering me earlier so I just wanted something light. The soup of the day was mushroom so I got that which came with some of the most deliciousn garlic bread I've ever had. My husband got the cowboy chicken entree. The soup was thinner than I was expecting but was very tasty. It came with a plate of 4 pieces of garlic bread on top of arugula. When eaten with the garlic bread, the soup was heartier and really delicious. I threw the arugula in the soup just for fun and the soup was still great! It was the perfect amount of food for me and was just the thing to order on that cold day. My husband's food looked kind of blah and the vegetables looked like they were from a can but boy I was wrong! His dish was seasoned well, delicious, and the vegetables actually tasted fresh! Initially I balked at the menu prices thinking they were kind of high but after eating the food, I could tell it was scratch made. I left pleasantly surprised and happy we stopped in. The art on the wall was beautiful to look at and apparently there is an upstairs area too that we overheard some people talking about but we didn't see any signs about what was up there so we didn't go.

Coke products on tap. Bathrooms were clean. There's a back door entrance that worked well coming from extra parking area outside. The burgers and fries looked really good. Mac & cheese was bomb. I enjoyed the beans but the very small amount of jalapenos gave me mad heartburn (it's me, not them). My boys split a larger pizza and they really enjoyed it. If I were to order there again I'd get the burger dip instead - my country fried steak was good but (as others have noted) a bit over done. I don't normally order CFS though so take that for what it's worth. Would eat here again, it's a great spot for the family if you're passing through or visiting the nearby National Parks.

Was told by our server both the beef & turkey gravy were pre-made and had lots of black pepper. She brought us a little sample cup. It was loaded with cracked black pepper. Hubby ordered a hamburger, as was only thing not pre-cooked with inappropriate amounts of black pepper. I ordered the chicken fried steak as I had read it was what they are famous for. After 2 bites I realized my chicken fried steak was so over cooked and difficult to chew. I thought I could get past the black pepper in the beef gravy. But it was too much, even for me. We both ended up having hamburgers and fries. Had I known we were just going to have hamburgers, we would have found a local burger joint and saved lots of time & money. Unless you're a fan of lots of black pepper and overcooked food, skip this place.

As we entered, we were greeted promptly and didn't have to wait to be seated. It didn't look as busy at this time so it was a plus. Looked at our menu, it was a simple American style food items, such as steak, chicken, ribs, burgers, etc. we ordered the calamari for appetizers, entree were the contrary fried steak with mash and vegetables, and the ribs with steak fries. Drinks were the stage coach margaritas. Calamari appetizers were interesting as we thought it would be like normal, circle rings or legs but never calamari sticks lol. It tasted fine though and the sauces were cocktail and some other basil type of sauce was pretty interesting. I had the country fried steak. Let's just say thank goodness it wasn't heavy on the batter and more of the steak you could taste. I felt like the steak was marinated and the batter itself was flavorful so it balanced the taste where it wasn't too salty. Honestly, I liked it. The vegetables and mash were also good and it blended well with my taste buds. My other half had the ribs. He said it was okay. Not the best but manageable for his liking. (He kept on eating my vegetables lol) Our server was friendly and attentive. As I was observing around me, the other staff were very fast pace and attentive to their guests. Once a table would be done, the staff cleared and cleaned the table well as another guest would start arriving. As soon as we were done, more guests were coming in and this would be around 7:30ish. So yes this place gets busy. Other than that, I would come back to this place again and try more items. I would recommend this place to anyone who's passing by or visiting Zion for a good bite to eat.
