Stopped in for lunch today and was surprised to see a special menu celebrating TẾT - VIETNAMESE NEW YEAR - Year of the horse They have a small menu with a signature dish and some specialty cocktails. I ordered the Thịt Kho Tàu which was a very tasty dish with caramelized pork, egg, and special seasonings served over rice and garnished with cucumber. I also tired the Lychee Paloma, a really nice flavor mix. Very refreshing. They are only offering this special for one week so try and stop in before Saturday 2/21/26 The Resturant was decorated with some traditional decor in celebration of the occasion and, as always, Jen provided excellent service.

My wife remembered coming here years ago when she lived in the area and always recalled it being very good, so we decided to give it a try on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is located downtown near the state capitol, surrounded by historic buildings. The street still has angled parking, which is a bit nostalgic compared to the usual parallel spots. We were able to find parking at the end of the block. We imagine it's much busier during the weekdays. Although the dining room wasn't crowded and we could see several open tables, we were told it would be about a 15-minute wait for our party of four. At first, we thought they might be understaffed. However, once seated, we noticed there were about six front-of-house staff working, which seemed more than adequate--perhaps the kitchen was running behind. The menu is extensive, with lots of creative options built around familiar bases. It's well put together, but almost a little too complicated. We looked it over, made our selections, and placed our order when a server came by. Throughout the meal, we had different staff members stop by, which kept things moving but also felt a little impersonal. The food did take longer than expected to arrive, but when it did, it looked great and everyone dug in right away. My one disappointment was with the French dip. I had asked for the garlic aioli on the side, but it came spread all over the sandwich mixed in with the onions and peppers. I ended up scraping it off, eating half, and leaving the rest. Overall, we really liked the building and decor. The menu is ambitious, the service was attentive though on the slow side, and the food was good--but nothing that stood out as exceptional.

First off this place is so trendy and just beautifully decorated and the total vibe is amazing! The service was terrific and very attentive. I wanted to try this place from the moment I moved here and im glad I did. I ordered vietmanese coffee it was strong and I enjoyed that. Pho it wasnt the best but the broth was ok. Lobster and shrimp melt that was amazing! It was soft melting. Argentine steak satay this was very tasty and I would order everytime I come here now. But there was so many other things I wanted to try but I have only 1 stomach and not much time. This place is a great place to bring a date or hang with friends it has a bar and also serve desserts! Also love the location but you will have to find parking on street and pay but thats this whole area. Worth it and coming back.

I read that this is a busy place and expected a wait for a table. While it was busy, a table opened up quickly for us. The hostess as well as the server were very friendly. I got the kahlua pork sandwich. Dang, this sandwich was so good! The pork had great flavor and the Marionberry bbq sauce and the coleslaw was so good! It came with fries and they were just okay, but the sandwich made it not matter. The outside and inside of the building are super cute, I'd definitely go back again

This is a terrific soup, salad and sandwich place. I've eaten here a few times and it's always a pleasant and delicious experience. Service is friendly and attentive. The decor is fun with high ceilings, with the best tables being the window seats. Free parking in the garage a few blocks away.

Mediterranean Meatball Bowl

Spent 4 days in Salem and this was by far my favorite meal. I'm back home now and hoping I can recreate this Mediterranean Meatball bowl because it was that good! Had a great espresso martini as well. Everyone in our group loved their food, super fresh and delicious!

Front window. Place is narrow, but beautiful. Staff are nice. We will see about the food!

Food is great. Service is alright. It is a bit spendy. The ambiance is wonderful. It's a great place downtown. Sometimes there is a line.

The Wild Pear was absolutely lovely to visit at Christmas. Beautifully decorated, great service, and I appreciated all the gluten free menu options!

Incredibly cute historic location and so much to absorb architecturally inside the buildings. The food was good, but the only item we tried that gave me goosebumps was the focaccia as an appetizer! We did have over a one hour wait to be seated. It's a very popular location and once we were seated, we were not rushed at all.

You order at the counter and then you get a number to take with you and place at whichever seat you choose. Drinks and food both came out really quick. I tried the bees knees which had honey, lavender, rosemary and simple syrup with a dash of black pepper. I did not see nor taste the black pepper but I was a huge fan of this drink. It wasn't overpowering in any of the flavors and the rosemary sprig made it look so cute. I got the breakfast potato hash with no tomatoes and it was a delicious and filling breakfast. The potatoes were so good my group wouldn't stop helping themselves to them. I added some hot sauce as it was in the dryer side but still really good. I also tried the matcha coconut scone. It had a pretty matcha green color but it was hard to taste the matcha or coconut and it was quite dry. Service was quick and friendly. The inside is really beautiful and we couldn't help but do a little photoshoot, so many fun backgrounds! None of the trendy hipster "coolness" that has come to rankle me in other popular coffee shops. I've had some delicious pastries and excellent drinks, including coffee and non-coffee specialties like their golden milk latte which is unique and amazing. Comfy space, high ceilings , exposed brick. My only feedback is that they serve their bagels to go with a cup of cream cheese and a sliced bagel. This is common, but I don't understand why anyone would want to spread cream cheese on their own bagel when they're on the road. It would be like ordering a sandwich and a stack of meat, cheese, lettuce, and bread and asked to assemble that while you're driving. That's literally my only complaint and it's a small one. I will be a Regular at this coffee shop, bagels be damned! lol.

There's normal tables, taller stools for window seating, and a few couch chairs too. The person that helped me at the counter was super helpful. There are lots of options with desserts, pastries, toast, bagels, sandwiches, soups, parfaits, and whole meals like biscuits and gravy. They have a good amount of vegan and gluten then friendly alternatives too. The prices were a steal for the portions I got -especially the toast and chia pudding. The coffee was also pretty good, nothing to write home about. I'll have to come back to try some of their bagels next time.
