The French toast was huge! Insider tip: cut-off the crust because it's a little tough & get to the middle, stuffed with mascarpone & peaches. My wife had the Reuben and I had the BLTA. Our sandwiches were good, the ingredients on the sandwich's was of good quality (I like their bacon), and the bread is great. The prices seemed a bit high. Ate here on Valentine's Day and the service was great! Our server, I think his name started with a B, was so nice. Our food came out pretty quickly and was delicious. Service was great, but we were disappointed by the food. Between me and my partner, we got a carne asada breakfast burrito and an omelette that were average diner fare. I ordered a latte that wasn't steamed well at all but not the end of the world. Biggest issue was with the hazelnut banana bread french toast. This sounded so amazing and we noted that it came standard with Gluten Free banana bread, but figured with the batter and everything else it would hold up fine. GF bread has come along way, especially here in the PNW. Unfortunately ,It did not hold up fine. I haven't had GF bread this dry and crumbly in the last decade. The best breakfast spot in Salem! Came to visit Oregon on vacation and out of all the places we tried this was by far the best! We ordered the cinnamon swirl french toast that was covered in caramelized apples. Their maple and raspberry syrups taste home made and delicious! I had the sweet potato hash and it was amazing! Sweet potatoes, poached eggs, jalapeños, mushrooms and covered in a delicious sauce. It was so good I took this home for leftovers and ate it for breakfast the next day. The staff was so kind and attentive. They accommodated the wheelchair by giving us a big table with lots of space. The inside had an upscale diner feel to it. This is only my second time here, but it's my favorite breakfast place in the area. They have a ton of gf options. Last time I was here I had a skillet. This time I had the chocolate chip pancakes and a side of bacon. Everything was so yummy and sometimes gf pancakes are gross, but these were tasty and a good texture. They gave me a side of whipped cream for my pancakes. Go for the full sugar coma or go home 15 minute wait on a Saturday morning at 1030am... totally worth it. Great option for gluten free diet needs. Came in at 1:15pm when they closed at 2pm. Very nice staff and menu had lots of options. We had the gf chicken strips, fries and onion rings. The French toast while it could have been delicious, is a huge thick, couple inches of bread. However they didn't do an egg soak so the middle, just below the surface it was nothing but dried bread and it was cold. My sister's biscuits and gravy was also cold. The hashbrowns were burned and cold, which is hard to do. The service was good though. They switched my food easily. It wasn't very hot when it came out either. I can't figure out if there was cold air whipping through the kitchen or what. read more

This place serves a variety! Portions are generous and both a pitcher of water and a coffee pot-carafe is left at the table for patrons to help themselves after the server fills your glass and mug. They are friendly and check on you but not pushy or rushing you. They also clear your dishes when you're done with them but allow you time to sit, visit or have your fill of coffee. A good place to visit in Salem. They now have two locations. I prefer State street for atmosphere but Market street for parking. State street parking is diagonal head-in on street parking for a fee (might just be Mon-Fri) while Market street has ample parking in their lot for free. read more

I ordered 2 eggs over medium, the hash browns (which were barely warm somehow, I knew I should have ordered them extra crispy) with a biscuit & gravy. The biscuit was dense, not fluffy. Gravy was ok i guess (not anywhere as good as Whites). I will probably try the one on State to see if its just the cook. read more
