Pad see ew is completely bland and soaked in oil. It said there would be broccoli but there were only tough leaves and stems. Wonton soup was literally 3 wonton wrappers with a bit of unseasoned spinach inside. Seaweed salad is way overpriced. Ordered a soda too and they never included it in the delivery. Miserable experience overall and I won't be ordering again. read more

Wow. Vegan for one, soy and meat substitute. Super tasty, lots of flavor, looks great. As a vegan Asian I am def coming back to try everything. read more

Just wanted to re-emphasize my 5-star review. Best lunch special in the neighborhood and it leaves you feeling energized.

Service is bad, I asked for ice and the server looked at me and said we're a vegan restaurant, that's unhealthy. I was baffled. Then I ordered a meal that I saw from yelp and he just brings me out a seaweed salad. I asked him after what is this and he then proceeds to explain that I didn't order the right thing even though I showed a picture and expressed I wanted the exact thing. My friend also ordered a meal, they messed that up as well. We were also THE ONLY table in this place. AKA if the service was better with the mixup I would be back but unfortunately I will never be back and never recommend this place. Food is average, 3 out of 5 stars for actual food. read more

I love this place can't say enough good things about it. Everything's tasty and the chocolate peanut butter bomb is insane

This seamless order was very disappointing. I never write bad yelp reviews but this was 30 minutes late and the driver made me come outside in the rain to get my delivery. I won't be ordering again. read more

5 stars for the food. Absolutely delicious especially the starters and it's vegan so it's pretty much perfect. But for the service -5 it was really awful. The girls didn't even speak to us they would just take order and slide the dishes. Bad bad attitude read more

LOVE this place! Amazing vegan food with decent prices. The interior is nice and cozy too. Definitely recommend this even for meat lovers!

Such a great experience here, first time ordering and I ordered delivery! Everything was in tip top shape and so very delicious. They did forget one of the three desserts but all I did was call them and they sent the very sweet delivery man back with it! My friends and I ordered the Vietnamese soup because we were fixing for a Pho night, everything was great! Exceptional- this will be my go to place! read more

We made reservations for a group of 9, for a birthday dinner. The staff was very ready to receive us, and easily accommodated a 15-month-old child by providing a high chair. Food was delicious, and prices were reasonable. Service was excellent, especially when a server was playing with the child! They didn't end up charging us for the birthday dessert (the peanut butter chocolate cake, which is phenomenal), which was a very pleasant surprise, and shows that they care about their customers. Also, having a 100% vegan restaurant meant we could simply order anything on the menu, which is great for us! If we lived closer, probably would go more often! read more

Just wanted to say that I very much enjoyed the food here. My friend is a vegan so this was an opportune moment for me to experience a true vegan restaurant. My friends and I ordered the Scallion Pancakes and Avocado tartar as starters. I personally enjoyed the pancakes very much. They were light and came with a nice mango salsa on top. The avocado tartar was mediocre and the sauce tasted more like pure soy sauce than a lime-wasabi sauce. For the main entree, I ordered the Mango Soy Protein which was quite excellent and the "meat" specifically was very delicious. It was sauteed in onions, zucchini, bell peppers, and mangos in a nice plum sauce and came with brown rice. Overall, food was deserving of 4 stars. The reason I bumped it down to 3 was for the service. Our waitress was very cold, rude, and short with us for no reason. At first, we thought that we had arrived right at closing, but the restaurant didn't close for another 2 hours. But aside from the service the food was excellent and I'm excited to try out the other meat-free dishes this place has to offer. read more

Wild Ginger was a very lovely place with limited seating inside, but has outdoor seating available. They have a good selection of vegan meals! read more

We were at the McCarren Park and wanted to try some vegan food in the area and this place came up on Yelp. Vegan pan Asian sounded very unique so we thought we'd give it a try. Very impressed with not only how healthy the food was, the flavored were on point! I got the Ginger Soy Protein entree. Would highly recommend that! They have so many ginger beverage options... Everything looked very healthy on the menu. A must try in Williamsburg! read more

The waitress just says yes to everything without understanding anything at all it's so annoying !! We didn't wanna complain about our noodles but at last we had to complain coz nobody finished their noodles it was too dry to even gulp the food so sad and rude ! We didn't get any good service ! Never going back here , I actually like the pan fried dumpling and their ramen but I won't be coming here any more because this place treated my friends bad and it was one of my friends birthday as well ... read more

Delicious and consistent vegetarian dishes! Meat lovers will find satisfying choices, vegetarians will be delighted with variety. Several Asian cuisines - Korean bibimbap, Japanese soups, Malaysian curries, Chinese stir-fries. Always clean and quiet, food arrives quickly. The best vegetarian restaurant in the neighborhood. read more

The food is fine. The prices okay if not a little steep for this sort of fare. But the one thing that they lose a star for and for which other Yelp reviews criticize them on is the service. It's functional but has all the warmth of a robot. I understand it's hard to do your job all the time with a smile but wow, these ladies no matter how much I smiled or thanked them would barely grunt a reply. Many times they would ignore my thanks and just motor on their way. read more

Wild Ginger - Basil Soy with brown rice - Asian Fusion Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

One of my favorite vegan restaurants, delicious food, fair price. Great location, spacious but cozy. Welcoming staff. Highly recommend!

Best Asian vegetarian food. Ambiance can be better but food is flavorful and comes out fast! I love the basil protein, citrus beef. Dumplings and tofu nuggets read more

Came in on a weekday afternoon with a friend for lunch as a first timer. The restaurant was super futuristic looking and pleasant to enjoy a dine-in lunch. We ordered spring rolls and the scallion pancake as appetizers and they were great! Although, I do wish there were more than two tiny spring rolls. As our main dish we both asked for the Vietnamese noodle soup (or pho) without the soy protein. It was delicious! Will be back. read more

Great lunch spot. Staff is quick, friendly (if you are friendly back) and to the point. I kind of liked the matter-of-fact vibe, but can see how others can be turned off by it. The protein was really flavorful, but maybe a little too much sauce. Next time I'll ask for less. Everything was perfectly filling. Except, I would have really loved a larger summer roll because what they put in it was tasty. If I am paying extra to swap a spring roll with a summer roll, give me a full summer roll. It was tasty nonetheless and made me want more! read more

Wild Ginger - Asian Fusion Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I have been a customer for years & 90% of the time, they nail it. Speedy delivery, good food, vegan, vegan - vegan! Peanut butter bomb (a must try) -- Avo salad is also a must (their ginger dressing is insane!). read more

Food, ambience and service were mediocre on a Saturday night around 9:30. Brought family here who were visiting from out of town and they were all disappointed. It wasn't even busy. Got the orange seitan (which I think was too soft and would have tasted better crispier), mango mint roll (could barely taste the mint and the roll itself was poorly put together), bbq ribs, and pineapple fried rice which seemed to have tiny pieces of fake meat and tasted bland. Hate to dislike fully vegan/vegetarian restaurants but think this place needs to step up their game. read more

The food is excellent, the staff is very polite. Their Pad Thai and seaweed salad are awesome! Will definitely return there again, the best vegan in the NYC read more

I have been ordering from wild ginger For over three years, and I'm a repeated customer. Last week I ordered a meal for my family. When I finished the order, the confirmation message stated close to 50 minutes of waiting time. When an hour passed away, I called to check on the status, and the woman who answers stated they just opened and it will take another 30 minutes. ( I was amazed no one called or notified us of the delay) after 10 minutes I called again, and then the lady told me that two items on my order were missing and I asked her why are you adverting on your menus that you have l items that you don't carry, and she didn't have an answer. Her dealing with me was rude. She didn't offer any compensation. And the food arrived close to 2 hours from the initial order time. Never in my life wrote a bad review, but I feel that in this case, the restaurant degraded me took me for granted. It was unacceptable, unfortunate, and they made me feel so bad that I will never order from them again. read more

I am not a vegan - got the stir fry ramen and mixed vegetables - in the words of Action Bronson... that's f'n delicious

My go to in Williamsburg for great vegan Asian food. My highlights are: Sweet n Sour Soy protein, ginger soy protein, the BBQ tempeh for appetizer. read more

We are both vegan and we came super hungry to the place with no high expectations ;) the place is very nice and cozy, the servise was very kind and nice and the food.... WOW!! we ordered Tom yam soup wich was very tasty and spicy and 3 more starters (spinach wanton, samosa, damplings- all of them were very good!) And for the main course we orders sate with broccoli- awesome!! Very recommend, not only for vegan people!! read more

I am trying to go vegan for 4 months by now and it's nice to find this joint while visiting Brooklyn. I live in Asia and the food at Wild Ginger taste authentic enough. We ordered eggplant with miso, it's not bad but I find it a bit on the oily side. Pho was good with mock meat, pad Thai was also tasty except I wish there's more veritable. Overall food was decent and served quickly, price was also very reasonable. I will come back again. read more

What a wonderful restaurant Wild Ginger was, for us to find, as our daughter is vegan. The menu is extraordinary, full of exclusively vegan options. We enjoyed Singapore Noodles, seitan with Chinese broccoli, scallion pancake with mango salsa, and a wonderful smoothie with banana, almond butter, and berries. The atmosphere is calming and the service was excellent. Even better, the prices are very reasonable. I'm looking forward to returning soon for dinner! read more

I use to love this place. The food has changed. The vegetable tempura was hard not cooked. I sat there and said I won't be back.

I guess their listing moved? Well I'm moving my review right with it! Here goes: My first impression was a pretty poor one. I went at 10:30 on a Saturday night (they have listed that they close at 11:30) and it was empty. Ok fine. They didn't seem very happy by their body language and demeanor as they said we suggest takeout because we're closing soon. Ok, there's an hour left. So I told them I came here to eat not to take out. They said our kitchen closes in half hour I said ok what does that mean? I can place an order in 10 minutes they said you sure you don't want take out? I said yes I don't live around here where am I going to eat on the street?? So at that point I felt that I should probably just leave because me and my friend were not welcomed off the bat and I was guessing the service and food would reflect that. But I was hungry and didn't feel like looking for a new place so I just said whatever let me stay since they eventually said ok sit here. So I looked at the menu and everything looked good then the waitress came very quickly again and reminded us that their kitchen closes in 30 minutes (as if that's not enough time to order) so I said ok give me 2 minutes and we can order. Then a different waitress came, and spoke very illegibly with a heavy accent and was kind of a low talker. We placed the order and then literally like 2 minutes later the food started coming out. The soup was pretty good but cold, I figured let me not make a fuss, the scallion pancake was small and cold and then the entrees came. One of the entrees was completely wrong so I told her this is not what I ordered she said oh that's what I heard and I said we'll that's not what I said, they weren't even close. So she said sorry we can't change kitchen closed this is tasty also. I was just frustrated and hungry so I was like whatever. Both entrees were pretty bland and not very good. The wrong one in particular was super dry like the turkey from national lampoons Christmas vacation, and I think it was like imitation duck maybe it tastes gross though. I am usually weary of going at the very end when a restaurant closes but I figured this place has good reviews and it was a Saturday night and there was a full hour before closing. So I don't know if the people reviewing have really bad taste or I was unfortunate and ran into an agitated staff who did not feel like working but it was a pretty subpar food experience and ridiculous experience. Not one to make a scene or cause problems I paid my bill and left a normal tip and left. I doubt I will ever go again but maybe during the day I will give it another try in hopes of there being better food. I am a vegan so it's nice finding a vegan spot and I really hoped I would like it but it was disappointing. The staff were incredibly rude and each course was brought out by a different person each one more bitter than the other. Really poor service. For everyone else if you want top notch Asian cuisine vegan/vegetarian goto red bamboo in the village. The food absolutely BLOWS this place away and the prices are actually better (putting aside terrible service based on the food quality and portion it eas very overpriced) with bigger portions. The food has taste and the staff is normal unlike this place. read more

This place is the best!! GREAT Vietnamese Soup aka Vegan Pho. This is the only place I will order Vegan Pho from, for their soy protein is amazing, I always order extra. My roommate and I order from here weekly. The delivery service is always fast and friendly, brings it right to your door! read more

I'm not sure what all the high stars are about for this place as I was far from impressed. Personally I won't ever come back and I even have money left over on a gift card. The food quality is low and the service is sub par (hope you don't need anything after the food is dropped as they won't return to the table). Also is appears the staff is most interested in sitting behind the register and playing on their cell phones then actually greeting and serving customers. Overall many other great vegan places in Brooklyn that you should visit in place of this one. read more

Been living off of this place for years! Always good food that's consistent. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you Wild Ginger

Becoming a vegan was the most painful experience for me, as I truly love food and it took me a week to realize that I cannot eat 90% of things that I used to eat because they contain milk eggs or meat... before becoming a vegan, for couple of years now, I was mostly eating raw food and gluten free because of my condition. So vegan + GF + raw for a food junkie is quite traumatic experience to find something to eat. Wild ginger, dont even know where to start! EVERYTHING I have tried there is amazing, I dont even think of it as vegan because everything that I've tried there was 10 times better than my favorite restaurants! Absolute favorit is pumpkin soup! Not to mention their fast service, this place is amazing. read more

This is one of the best vegan Asian food restaurants in Williamsburg. A little expensive but you get what you pay for and are always satisfied. For starters I recommend crispy watercress and soy cheese wonton, bbq vegan ribs, scallion pancakes, and crispy nuggets are all delicious. For main entrees try general Tao's soy protein, and orange seitan they are two of my favorites. Also the hot Teas they offer are very refreshing. Not done exploring the menu but I highly doubt I will be disappointed. Love this place read more
