Soy nuggets
Denise S.

Honestly, I'm very mad at the reviews on this place. I was confident when I looked at peoples pictures and I read reviews and it seemed like everyone was very satisfied with this place. Me and my husband decided to give this place a try and it was horrible. I ordered the soy nuggets and a mixed green salad. Those were the worst nuggets I have ever experienced. They were soggy and weird and too soft in the middle, then they had big pieces of edamame in it. The sauce that came with the nuggets were also just yucky. I was not that mad at that, I was like OK just not for me so let me just get a big green salad. He said they had a very good mango dressing to go with it. When he brought that salad out it looked beautiful with the variety of all types of greens but that sauce tasted horrible! It was like they just took mango juice and just poured it all over the salad. My husband ordered the basil soy and a spring roll with a ginger tea. He can eat anything but he couldn't finish this. The spring rolls was just full of cold thick cut vegetables. He also offered basil soy ,the vegetables was not fresh. It looked like it was some leftover vegetables they threw together. I would never go back here again and I suggest no one else does because I don't know what happened that day, but it was horrible.

I really enjoyed the food here. The mushroom dish was really cool and unlike anything I've had before. The soy protein dish was good but I personally found the sauce to be overwhelming but the texture of the soy was great. Not pictured was the miso soup and brown rice it came with, both of which were great. I would come back here. 2 entrees was about $41

This is an all vegan restaurant with tons of options on its expansive menu. The orange seitan is an absolutely delicious option that tastes just like its chicken-based counterpart. The sauce is sweet and spicy, comes with rice and soup. The inside is standard, it's seems like a lot of locals in Williamsburg order takeaway from here.

Finding good vegan food that has both clean ingredients and amazing taste is difficult in my opinion so when I saw the reviews on wild ginger I had to experience it for myself. For starters we had tom yum soup, crispy soy protein nuggets and the bbq vegan ribs. For our main dish we ordered Thai basil fried rice along with Malaysian Curry Stew and basil soy protein. Then ended with the pumpkin cheesecake and peanut butter bomb. My favorites were the crispy so protein nuggets cause it literally almost tasted just like a chicken nugget and the sauce that came with it was delicious. Basil soy protein which has so much flavor and just the right amount of veggies to so protein and the peanut butter bomb. I am big into dessert and the peanut butter bomb was just the perfect touch to satisfy my sweet tooth. Now the rest of the food was just as equally amazing and to top it off the service was impeccable. We were greeted with a friendly smile and the waiter was very helpful in helping us decide what was the best dishes in the menu. The food portion was plenty and the price affordable. The food came out in a timely fashion and the atmosphere was calming and inviting. Overall we had an amazing time and will definitely be back again.

Just visited again on Saturday for the first time in such a long time. Everything was fresh and delicious. I love that everything is 100% Vegan. I really hope they evolve, and add more items to their menu. The Vegan scene is constantly changing, it would be wonderful to see new items on the menu, new desserts on the menu also. We got the Red curry Seitan, It was delicious , but it was missing the vegetables eggplant, cauliflower , just FYI. General Tso's Soy Protein , amazing! and crispy soy protein nuggets w/ plum sauce, also a Wonton soup. everything was fresh, and tasty. We will be back again soon!!!!! Ps. everything is served in plastic containers, due to Covid19, the staff, cleans and sanitizes after each customer. Thank you

Delicious, quality food with nice ambiance. Everyone enjoyed their meal and service was good.

Food was good but it was thrown off by being to covid friendly/conservative. Everything good item was in plastic to go containers. Plastic utensils. Only outdoor seating, which was uncomfortable. The in house dining experience was o overshadowed by being to careful. I just wasn't feeling the all plastic everything. A free appetizer came up on my Yelp upon checking in, the server said that it was old and no longer applicable. Like I said the food was good, the service was above average. I'll maybe go back if I'm around that neighborhood, but won't go out of my way to go there, like I do other places I like. Very average dining experience.

The menu is stacked--sandwiches, hearty apps, macs, and cozy entrees that make you forget you're eating vegan. During my visit, they were running a Reuben sandwich special that seriously tempted me, but I went with the oyster mushroom calamari, and wow, the seasoning was spot on, and it could easily fool a seafood lover. My friend tried the seitan wings and was really impressed, even though he's usually not into mock meats. They came with super flavorful sauces and were definitely shareable. He also had the smash burger, which was a total win--savory, satisfying, and gave big diner vibes. We heard the milkshakes are amazing too, but we were too full to fit them in. Next time, for sure. Only downside? The service was on the slow side--we waited over 30 minutes between apps and mains. It's a popular spot, so some delay is understandable, but it was noticeable. Overall, I loved it and can't wait to go back with an emptier stomach and room for dessert.

While the menu is naturally plant-forward, there are plenty of solid gluten-free options like the mofongo and tostones. I have been a pescatarian for 35+ yrs, and my partner is an avid meat eater, who also absolutely loves West Indian and criolla food. So this felt like a really great experiment. We began our meal with delicious drinks , including a favorite of mine , Morirsoñando..and delicious cocktails served in fresh coconut..Next we indulged in the most amazing appetizer, the Crispy Cou Cou with Glazed Steak which is a delicious scotch bonnet honey glazed vegan steak DREAM, served with pineapple, charred corn and mint. The flavors are explosive, unique, vibrant and richly developed. Next, for our entrees we selected the Curry Goat and Roti and the Steak & Rice. The flavors and textures would NEVER reveal these dishes to be vegan. These amazing chefs have captured that beautifully balanced and craveable Caribbean flavor in every element..the coconut curry..the chimichurri..the rice and beans..watm, smoky, rich...just stunning food that delivers phenomenal flavor to please even the most carnivorous cravings!! Last, we wrapped our meal with the Chinola Cheesecake which is touted as a cheesecake made of cashews, vanilla, coconut & passionfruit...OH MY GOODNESS...I don't know how those ingredients become that dish, but I would put it up against any cheesecake I have ever had, and it would likely beat the socks off of it!!! So luscious, bright, creamy indulgent, packed with passionfruit flavor and the absolute perfect compliment to the meal. I am so happy.I finally got to experience this food and I cannot wait to return and try every bit of that menu!! I highly recommend!!

I was so excited to try the food. The Chick'n sandwich (lion's mane mushroom) was a 10/10. Honestly, the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. I ordered through Seamless and picked it up since I was in the area, and I'm so glad I did. The sauce was incredibly flavorful with a little spicy, tangy, and creamy balance. The bun was soft, the mushroom was full of flavor, and everything just worked together perfectly. I was actually speechless after the first bite. It was satisfying without feeling heavy, but still substantial. The pickle added the perfect bite and brightness. I got the side salad instead of fries. It looked fresh and was a great size (I haven't tried it yet), but honestly the sandwich is the star. I'm definitely coming back soon to try it with the fries.

My fiancé got a beer and his friend got the Ethiopian coffee. It was a tasty espresso served with oat milk and sugar on the side. The BEC was recommended by the waiter and it was delicious! The egg was fluffy, the cheese was great, there was plenty of sauce, the toast was perfect. I wish for more potatoes! The scramble was good. The injera is an interesting flavor! It was great as a stir fry. It's a little sour and chewy by itself. The cucumber salad was fresh and great. I'm not a vegan myself, but it's a delicious option for vegans and non-vegans alike.
