two trays of food on a table

It's not really Kimbap, more like the Whole Foods take on it by stuffing it with ingredients found in a Vietnamese salad bowl. That being said the food is not too bad and has a nice fresh quality to it. It's located next to the pizza section right before you check out in Whole Foods.

I used to live right near the Chelsea Market location, and since I moved, I'm so glad this location is in my delivery zone. You really can't go wrong here, but I usually go for the spicy pork bowl.

The line to have my rolls made wasn't very long, but it took quite a while (perhaps due to deliveries). The kimbap was better than I was expecting based on this being a place inside Whole Foods. It was a bit on the pricey end for the portion size, but it was played very nicely and had good flavor, so I won't complain there.

    Tuna kimbap and bulgogi kimbap

Finally, delicious and high quality kimbap in NY! Granted, it's overpriced compared to Korea, but I've had plenty of overpriced mediocre kimbap in the States. Instead, with Kimbap Lab, you are guaranteed a really fresh kimbap that not only tastes great but also doesn't skimp out on the ingredients. I saw that they had pre-made ones on display, but you can get them made to order, so unless you are in a hurry, definitely get your kimbap made fresh! I've had the tuna and the bulgogi and both are very good. I'm partial to tuna because that's always been my favorite type of kimbap, but bulgogi tastes great as well. You get to choose a dipping sauce and side of pickle for each kimbap. For sauce, I got the ssamjang aioli w the tuna and red pepper paste w the bulgogi. To be honest, I didn't need the sauce as the meat / tuna was seasoned well. Both the white radish pickle and kimchi were good. The man making my kimbap was super nice and really didn't hold back piling on the ingredients. The kimbaps are quite big as you can see in the picture. It's a perfect healthy lunch that fills you up. I hope they expand to the other Whole Foods in Manhattan!

Kimbap Lab makes kimbap refreshing! Unlike those places that stuff your kimbap with rice filler and oily meats and veg, Kimbap Lab has somehow mastered the crunchy refreshing bite. The roll has the perfect rice to meat to veg proportions! The rice is soft but firm speckled with sesame seeds, and seasoned just right! Gluten free and made with local ingredients, what's not to love? Chefs Wonil Lee and Sarah Lee have elevated Korean snack/picnic food to another level. This was a highlight to our Williamsburg trip!

Finally more Korean joints in Brooklyn! I had the Yubu kimbap and absolutely loved it. It taste great after the time frame they recommended. I love how each piece has the same portion of ingredients so each bite taste exactly the same.

Kimbap Lab seriously does NOT disappoint in terms of authenticity, nostalgia and taste. They use top-notch ingredients that are fresh and the rolls are created right in front of you! I haven't had kimbap in awhile, and I've been used to homemade rolls since my mom would make them all the time during my childhood. With that in mind, this place really does it right, and for the price you pay the amount of food is enough to fill you up. Presentation is beautiful, and aside from having the classic bulgogi (marinated beef) option, there are plenty of other mixes to choose from that range from seafood to vegan tofu. The kimbap here is the real deal guys, classic food true to Korean flavors but elevated ingredients and style. Only thing I'm upset about is the fact that so far, they're only located in the Whole Foods in Williamsburg (and I think it might be a pop-up). But I have huge expectations for the company getting big and possibly having their own storefront. Also kudos to Sarah who is the co-founder. Super dedicated in the company and welcoming by handing out samples and providing background on her venture and food!

Seriously the best Kimbap in the world!! I love this place everything is delicious!! Highly recommend

I LOVE IT! I found myself in Bed Stuy, original mission buying doughnuts for a Saturday evening get together. Of course, one of my favorite doughnuts shop, Fan Fan, was where I was going to. However, I was craving a small bite on a beautiful sunny afternoon. I stumbled upon this cute corner cafe. Molina & Cafe was the name on the awning and I Yelped it to see what kind of food and I couldn't find it. Then I Googled it and the address For All Things Good popped up. Now I was intrigued. I climbed the steps inside and found myself in a cozy spot with smiling employees. I took a look at the drink menu on the wall and my eye immediately settled on Horchata. That's it! I was craving that and a side of Totopos with salsa. I went to grab a table outside and in five minutes my snack arrived. The iced Horchata was heaven in a glass: just the right balance of sweetness to wash down the spicy kick from the salsa. The totopos were absolutely scrumptious.. authentic and fresh. If I had a bigger appetite I would have ordered mucho tacos. But there will be a next time because I'm always in a Franklin Avenue state of mind. This place has a great vibe to dine solo Al fresco or with a group of friends. The service is friendly and professional. Just grab a seat, people watch and enjoy the delicious Mexican food or shall I say For All Things Good Mexican Food. Take G train to Classon Avenue stop and walk about 5-8 minutes and you are there!

Food is pretty authentic, and I like the food hall for its variety, covering a wide range of Japanese cuisine. Behind the food hall and supermarket are other shops such as Panya, a Japanese bakery, a karaoke bar, and a Japanese BBQ restaurant coming soon. I would highly recommend the udon because noodles are freshly made and have a nice chewy, bouncy texture. Their onigiri is also delicious. Food is a bit pricey, and portions are small, but overall, the food is delicious. Service: Staff are friendly and welcoming! The tables are not on top of each other and the noise is lively, but manageable. The food came out in a reasonable time, the bread was good. The hostess was disappointing. She acknowledged walk-in parties and later reservations of the same size that came in the door after us, lining up behind us. We had a reservation for 4. We arrived on time. This happened not once, not twice, but four times, the hostess looking past us to talk to people inline behind us or next to us, as if we were invisible. It wasn't until the 5th white couple she attempted to assist told her flat out that we were waiting before them, and the others she helped. I was looking for the owner or manager but thanks to this kind couple, that wasn't needed. Their blunt comments maybe embarrassed the hostess because only then did the hostess look at me rather than past me, and ask "how many..." she was ready to tell us there was no availability when I answered that we were a party of four as she looked around the dining room and gestured as if to say 'no seats'. I added that we had a reservation for 10 minutes ago. She asked my name and checked her tablet, then said "ok" and sat us at the table by the door. Once we were seated and situated, my young daughter looked up from her menu and asked me why was everybody else helped before us? She honestly didn't know. For those not familiar with having these types of conversations, let's just say that they can make even the best tasting pasta and pizza unsavory if you dwell on it. It's bad when a 7 year old notices they were "othered". Your mileage may vary, I'm sure there is more than one hostess working. I don't think I would recommend Barbalu to everybody unless you're getting take out, or you don't mind a "fight" to get service, assuming you insisted on eating here.
