Atti definitely makes a strong first impression. The exterior pulls you in, and once inside it feels like a great date night spot with its dim lighting and a clear view of the dry-aging cellar. As someone who really enjoys KBBQ, I came in with high expectations. The experience ended up being just okay. The biggest letdown was the banchan. The kimchi in particular did not taste fresh, and while I can usually appreciate well-fermented kimchi, this felt past its prime. The rest of the banchan did not stand out either. For the meats, we tried the dry aged ribeye, hanger steak, and non-marinated galbi. The ribeye was underwhelming and a bit too chewy for my liking, especially given the expectations around dry aging. The hanger steak ended up being the most flavorful and tender of the three. The galbi had great marbling and was apparently cut fresh that day, but in a city with strong KBBQ competition, it did not quite stand above the rest. That said, the service really stood out. Made a last minute reservation for a party of 5 on a Friday night which worked out perfectly. The place was decently filled - maybe because downtown Brooklyn isn't exactly known for its nightlife that might be why it wasn't too packed, but it definitely wasn't dead either. To be safe, I would recommend making a resy. The place is dimly night and has great ambiance (perfect date spot). I love k-bbq but the one thing I dislike it that I go home smelling like meat. This was not the case here and they didn't really have any vents either. The place definitely has a nicer, more upscale vibe but it doesn't feel too pretentious. The whole table decided to get the pre-fixe select cuts with accompaniments. We all also got the plum mojito. What a fantastic meal. So many side dishes! The table especially enjoyed the marinated short rib, egg souffle and kimchi stew. I loved the butternut squash mash. Very good kimchi too. For dessert, it came with a lemon shaved ice which was so refreshing and a perfect end to the meal. I think the wait staff may have overheard me talking about how my birthday was the following day because they brought me out a special dessert - white and milk chocolate mouse with a chocolate wafer base. Not too many KBBQ places in Brooklyn so Atti is a good option for a more upscale a la carte dining experience. Came here for dinner service and it was very dimly lit, giving it a romantic and loungey kind of vibe. We ordered the Atti Han-Sang, a pre-fixe that included 4 cuts of meat, a bunch of sides and shaved ice for $74 per person. Given the prices of the a la carte meats, this seemed to be the best deal. Overall, the variety and flavors of the set were good and table service which included the cooking of the meats were very professional. Atti came through with a same day available reservation for our last minute group dinner for eight. It might be uncharacteristically slow due to people being gone for the New Year or it's not the most popular Korean bbq place. I think it's nice to have an option outside of Korea town. The space was upscale and we appreciated not smelling at all like we had just been at a Korean bbq joint. They welcomed us with a complimentary warm sweet tea with soju. We opted for the beef bbq set for about 70-80 per person. It came with a diverse array of banchan including sautéed spinach with sesame oil, kimchi, tiny dried preserved fish, potato cubes and squash. There were 2 soups, one salad and a steamed egg. The steamed egg was a little dry and not as bouncy/soft as the ones I've had before. The meats were good quality. Lastly we had shaved ice for dessert. All in all, not a bad spot if you're looking for an easy reservation. But for about the same price and set up as Cote, I would choose Cote. read more

I came here for my birthday since I've been seeing it all over Tiktok as a Cote dupe (honestly I have never been to Cote so cannot actually make a good comparison). The reservation was easily made online (but I did come on a weekend around 6 pm). The place itself was easy to find and very spacious. We decided to get the Atti Hang Sang - which comes with side dishes, souffle egg, two soups, side salad and four different cuts of the meat and includes dessert at the end. -The side dishes were delicious - and they do refill them as you need -The egg also amazing (then again how do you go wrong with egg) -The soups were okay, nothing too special -Side Salad also delicious -The meats were also absolutely delicious and well marinated - they ask you how you like it and it's cooked to prefection. I believe the cuts of the meat they give are the hanger steak; kalbi; dry aged rib-eye and one more which I cannot remember -The dessert is a red bean shaved ice which was the perfect way to end the meal. We actually wrote down that it was my birthday so they brought out a cheesecake at the end for us which was a really nice surprise and a great ending to a great meal. The 2 stews that came with... ugh... so sad. He chose this place since it was the midpoint of where we both were & I have to say that I was quite impressed! I gotta give kudos to the service, the ambiance & the food! I don't doubt the food is good. Was actually going to eat here for their lunch special. First I wanted to use some chop sticks or a disposable utensil, because I had something stuck in a case, that I needed something like pliers to get out. So I figured "Great! But I ended up getting a pen to do the job I was trying to do As I'm walking to get the pen, I see the fear in their eyes, which was weird. Because I never raised my voice, or got argumentative. I just pointed out that I've gotten disposable chop sticks from here before and proceeded to grab a pen from the front that would do the job When I see the fear on their face I just leave, because being black in America means when people feel scared, even if you didn't do anything, it means you may be subject to punishment As I'm leaving someone dressed like they work in back of house was walking in. She had her hand on the door, walking in, as I was about to walk out Once u reach the door she stops opening the door, makes eye contact with me (with undeniable fear in her eyes), and turns and runs away (like 8- 12 feet) as if she was in danger So I walk out slowly, and say to her "Yoo, you're not in danger, what the hell". And she slowly inches towards the door, clearly still scared out of her mind. With her body fully faced towards me as she nervously gets closer Then she quickly goes in the restaurant, never once allowing her eyes to leave me. She acted as if I was a monster, and I did everything in my power to not make them feel fear This is less of a review of the restaurant and more of me just wanting to feel heard. It just really hurt that you guys treated me that way, and I did nothing wrong. I cried on my way to Trader Joe's because of the frustration. The ambience here is nice. It is dimly lit so that it is easy on the eyes, think of it as lit as cheesecake factory lighting. The staff here is nice and attentive to refill water and help cook the meat. We got the beef combo and it was enough for the both of us. The meat is super tender and marinated well. It wasnt too heavy and the side dishes are great as well. Not many areas to complain, maybe besides the price but the quality of the food and the staff makes up for it. About a 2-2.5: Atti is a KBBQ place that offers hansangs and a la carte meat options, apps, and sides. We went for the Kalbi Hansang, which was described as including a 20 oz bone-in short rib with bansang accompaniments - this meal came with: +veggies +mushrooms +rice cake +scallion salad +egg souffle +seasonal ssam with ssamjang sauce +rice +kimchi stew +dwengjang stew +banchans +kimchi +and, lemon bingsoo to finish The kalbi was marinated, but we felt that the meat quality could have been better. The banchans were fine, and you can request as many refills as you'd like. The stews were forgettable. In terms of portions, it's not really that generous, so note that you'll have to order a few orders of hansang or just order a la carte to get enough food for your party. Update as of June 2024 - they have raised the price for the chef cut selection to $72 per person. The quantity remained the same but the quality wasn't as good as it used to be. A year and a half ago, it used to be $62 per person for the same amount. Now they've increase it by $10 per person which is significant, since that's an extra $40 that they are getting out of a group of four, for the same amount of food. For a slow Wednesday evening, they had more than plenty of reservations free, so we did a walk in. I was thrilled to discover this new Korean BBQ in Downtown Brooklyn. It has a very similar set up as Cote, the Michelin Star restaurant in Manhattan, but it is much easier to get a reservation since they are so new. We ordered the Atti Han-Sang with 4 of the Chef's selected cuts, which was $64 a person before tip/tax. This place has so much potential but definitely need some improvements. Our meal started out with some banchans but there were no refills unlike most other Korean restaurants. It also came with some lettuce, scallion salad, kimchi stew, dwenjang stew, steamed egg, rice and a bingsoo as a dessert. The cuts we received were the hanger steak, 45 day dry aged ribeye, wagyu, and marinated galbi. The waiter cooks all of this for you in the order from leanest to the fattiest cuts of meat. My favorite was the marinated galbi. We told the waiter we wanted our steak cooked medium, which he acknowledged but continued to served us steak that was undercooked (refer to one of my images). It is so dark in the restaurant that the waiter can't even see the temperature of the steak. It looked promising so I made a reservation for me and my bf. We got their Chef 's Han Sang set since it was just the two of us. We also each got a cocktail. The bbq was delicious and sooo good! I love the variety of side dishes and how it came with lettuce and 2 soups. The dessert was simple milk ice and was yummy too! I planned on coming with my friends so we could order more but they ended up going on another night. They loved it as well. The only feedback was the side dishes were bit spicy for some of friends who don't eat spicy, one of them was looking for a potato salad , and they didn't like the bisoo dessert cause they don't like red bean. But it's really just a taste preference and culture difference. Overall loved the food and cocktails, so happy we have this place in Downtown Brooklyn. Came here for dinner with some girl friends and we were all excited to try a new Korean BBQ spot in Brooklyn. It's a small spot with booth style setup so definitely make a reservation if you want to check it out. The menu is pretty small but they recommend their Han Sang, which is like a pre-fixe meal. It includes a few different types of meat/beef, ban chans, steamed egg, rice and stew. For our group of 5, we got 2 Han Sang and also ordered the Shrimp Gang Jeong to share as appetizer. There is someone who will cook the meat for you so let them know how you like your meat cooked. For me, I prefer the wagyu and the galbi. No surprised there. All the meat was very good but I could skip the regular steak since that was the least flavorful. My biggest gripe is having to pay extra for lettuce and scallions. Especially since this is fine dining and given the price for the meal. I don't think I've ever been to a Korean restaurant where they charged for that. I came for a soft opening, and this is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood - a luxurious Korean barbecue restaurant. The experience, quality, and atmosphere is very similar to the Michelin star restaurant Cote, which is also one of my favorites in Manhattan. It is a gorgeous and cozy interior, with space for maybe 10-15 tables. Much like Cote's butcher's feast, in Atti's chef's Han Sang, you get 4 cuts of meat (USDA prime and Wagyu), scallion salad, egg soufflé, lettuce & ssam jang, banchan, 2 traditional stews, and bing soo. Priced at $64 per person right now. It is a whole thought out meal that is very filling. Everything, every side dish included, was delicious. The wagyu was especially tender. Another favorite was the marinated beef. They additionally had really smooth sake and Japanese beer they had recommended, which paired well with the meal. 4 1/2 stars would be my review if I could but given the inability to do so, I will round up for the level of service we received overall. Really enjoyed our meal at Atti. Decor was warm and inviting. Ordered the chef's selection for 4. We all enjoyed the nice array of banchan and side dishes, plus the meats were perfectly prepared and we were well taken care of throughout the meal. Disliked being charged for extra lettuce. With the very generous refilling of banchan throughout the meal, felt petty when you are spending $100+ a person. Also, the bingsoo at the end was just a scoop of lemon italian ice, not traditional bingsoo (as seen in the photos). Have to say that was disappointing. We were expecting actual shave ice, which our kids would have loved as a dessert. This was more the palate cleanser type of ice you get in between meals during a tasting menu.
