Sundubu

This is the cutest little place in Cobble Hill - I loved the menu options and the set up inside. It is super small, and has max like 3 seating options but it's so adorable!! The two ladies working were so sweet and helpful, I felt like I was at home being fed by my family. The soondubu was super yummy, would 100% come back here!

Nuloongji Bibimibap

On a gorgeous day in November, it was such a treat to stroll upon a new Korean spot in the hood. It's super tiny and likely set for takeout, but there was a nice table outside and with the unusually high temperatures my wife and I decided to stop for lunch. and there was a small menu with some usual favorites in the Korean cuisine. Service was quick and friendly and you'll love the fresh vegetables and flavors served up. Whit had a Japchae (which did come with sticky rice too) and I had the Nuloongji Bibimbap. The crispy rice bottom was just right and when mixed up with spicy Gochujang sauce. We also shared a refreshing Lime Rickey to drink. Check them out and you'll be in for a great treat.

BigNorm Bibimbap and Kiwi Yakult Fruit Juice

Two lovely ladies were working behind the counter took my order and that of my neighbor. I asked about gluten free options and one went through options with me. I had the Big Norm Bibimbap (the sauce adds a nice punch though you can choose how much to add) and the Kakult Fruit Juice in kiwi. Both were absolutely fantastic. -- We ate at the small wall/counter on the side of the place. It's more of a take-out place than sit down option. The food was fresh and was made with care -- I cannot wait to order other things on the menu for my family. Yay!

Soondubu Lemonade BigNorm Sparkles

Ordered Uber eats and it came nicely packaged. Everything arrived safely despite me ordering tofu soup and a drink. I got the soondubu which was really flavorful and perfect for the rainy day. It was a bit salty but the flavor was so good I didn't really mind. I had anchovies on the side too - $4 felt a bit steep but I'd get it again because they paired really well with the rice and tofu soup. I also got a fizzy drink called Lemonade BigNorm Sparkles and it was really good! I'd be interested in trying this place in person in the future. Good experience overall :)

It's totally worth the trip. We happened upon this restaurant after a trip to a a book store! My dying wish is for kimchi jigae to be my final meal, and this recipe overwhelmed me with joy!!! Staff was very friendly!

Delicious and fresh! Had it last week and I'm back again today! Dumplings, tofu bibimbap and beef bibimbap - all excellent!

After seeing reels of this restaurant's crab fried rice, I had to give this a try. We arrived in…read moreFriday night, the staff was friendly and the decor was nice. Seating is a little small, so any parties of 4 or larger probably require a reservation. The food came out fairly quickly. We ordered the Tteokbokki. The dish was purposely cooked to be crispier than what you would normally expect, it was very delicious. The jjapaguri was flavorful and the meat and seafood was great. The main course of crab fried rice was amazing. Poured over a sizzling pan, the waiter made sure we had time to get our phones ready. The dish stirred and seasoned well and had a nice fresh taste. Our dessert was black bean and vanilla, which was refreshing and a generous quantity. Overall, our experience here was amazing and would recommend for anyone wanting high class Korean fair.

While I would recommend the drinks, I think the food was disappointing. I ordered the Strawberry…read morefields cocktail that contained vodka, yuja honey, strawberry, lemon which was pretty nice and sweet and not bitter at all. It was literally the only thing I enjoyed. In terms of food, I mainly went for the crab fried rice. It was decent but rice were kinda burnt and crab was minimal for the extra $7 weeks added for king crab. The chicken karaage was in small pieces and had whack batter. The wild mushroom pajeon was not good at all.

Their ventilation system is pretty good cause it was not smokey nor do my clothes smell like kbbq afterwards. My favorite cut of meat was the galbi. We had a group of 6 and our waiter gave us a number of recommendations, which we followed. To start off, we had the Japchae ($18), Seafood Jeon ($22), Seafood Tofu Stew ($20), and Egg Soufflé ($12). This was enough for just a small bite for each of us, but nice to munch on along with the banchan before the meat arrived. For meats, we had the Prime Atti Kalbi ($54), Prime Dry Aged Ribeye ($58), American Wagyu Flatiron ($52), and Short Ribs ($58). They cook it for you and even ask how done you prefer the meat. Most meats did taste similar, except the kalbi that is marinated. With that said, everything is of high quality here. Since we were here celebrating our friend who just finished the NYC marathon, they were so generous to offer a dessert on the house. It was a pleasant surprise and everyone was so friendly.
