Food: 3.9 cuts are the same as COTE, but the way they cook it is not. The servers over salted the meats where it ruined the taste. The only cut that I can say I enjoyed was the kalbi since it was already marinated and required no salt to cook. Banchan also held up to standard, although I don't think the egg soufflé was cooked as well as I've had before. Service: 2.5 it took a bit of time before we were greeted at the front. The waiters mumbled a lot of their words under their breath to where it was hard to understand what they were even trying to explain. They don't check often, or if they do, it's strictly to flip the over salted beef. I had an empty water glass sitting for far too long without a refill and it wasn't until I was choking on some food did someone finally come over to refill. Some of them were fairly nice and asked how we were doing and let us know there was dessert at the end. But overall, they didn't elevate the experience at all that I was expecting and merely acted like a waiter waiting to clock off already. Vibe: 3 decor is pretty nice, and they have a meat locker showcased at the beginning with all their meats. Pretty small space, with some shared seating but enough space where you don't feel like you're eating with the people next to you. Pass or Go? Hard pass. Had a reservation here on a Sunday evening at around 6:30pm and when we arrived, the restaurant was half full. By the time we left ~90 mins later, it seemed like all the tables were occupied. It is a smaller space than I expected but it didn't feel crowded. We ordered: - the shrimp mandu to start. it was so flavorful! perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. - the chef's four selected cuts + ban sang. this was obviously the highlight of the meal. while I can't recall the 4 cuts of meat we were served, they were all so incredibly tender and flavorful. and i do appreciate that the staff grills the meat for you. they cooked it perfectly to our liking (medium). other highlights from this set was the egg soufflé, which had a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the dwenjang stew, which had the perfect amount of spice. also: the banchan was great but nothing exceptional. I think getting the set is worth it for $69pp since it includes such a variety of dishes + high quality meat! if I were to return (which I hope to), I'd definitely want to try more of their appetizers or the steak kimchi fried rice (a table near us ordered this and it looked so good!!) overall, I'd give this place a 5/5. I felt a little fooled by the 4.5 star to be honest. I thought this place was more beautiful than delicious. Everything was fine. But is fine worth so much money? My friend and I got scallion pancake, a serving of meat (I think we got the dry aged ribeye). It's not a lot of meat for one order. I don't even know if it's enough to get one order of meat per person. The scallion pancake was the most flavorful thing we had. The meat was good and seasoned simply with salt. The sides were fine but not boldly seasoned. I did enjoy the house fizz drink, and the service was impeccable honestly. They were so engaged and cooking that I felt like I was on a date with them. Our second experience at Atti was not great. We ordered a la carte meat and they came out pre cut into tiny pieces, which looked like leftovers from their signature "chef's cuts". They didn't look like they were cut from a single piece of steak. The dry-aged ribeye($58+tax and tip) was very dry and not flavorful but their wagyu flat iron was ok. Their $6 Ssam "set" is just one type of lettuce (about 10 leaves) and nothing else - not recommended. We also ordered bibim naeng myun, which were supposed to have very little to no broth. The server brought out a mool naeng myun with spicy sauce and kept on insisting that it was how it was supposed to look like, which, I know as a Korean, Bibim naeng myun is not served with this much broth. We felt bad wasting the food so just ate it as spicy mool naeng myun. Later on one of the Korean servers admitted it was a mistake on their end and gave us a complimentary dessert. I've been to Atti before and really enjoyed it but unfortunately my most recent experience left much to be desired. Our meal was great and at the end they offered us complementary shaved ice. When I received mine, I found a large piece of broken glass in my cup. This was obviously very shocking and unfortunately the staff was not very apologetic at all. Ate at this place last eve and had a negative experience. First, for the price the food is not great. Very average bbq and not enough to justify the cost. Second, alcohol is expensive, total gouge. We are gluten free - celiac. None of the waiters gave a clear answer as to what is gluten free and what is not. At one point, one waiter said a dish was gluten free; later, a second waiter came over and said it was not. I can't help but think this should be made clear, especially as Korean bbq is generally a top choice for celiacs as it is easy to do a gluten free version. Came here for an early dinner on a Saturday night. Was able to get a reservation just before arriving. The place is on the smaller side with maybe 12 tables. The interior is chic and the tables and grills seemed high end for Korean bbq. You can't help but compare this place to Cote in Manhattan. I do think Cote left more of an impression but that may be because we went there first. We ordered the Atti Hansang which came with four different cuts of beef (hanger steak, rib eye, American wagyu and prime marinated galbi). It also came with an assortment of different banchan, white rice, steamed egg, a kimchi stew, a soy bean stew and a snowflake bingos topped with red bean. The meats were all high quality, flavorful and tender. You get about four bites of meat per cut making it more of a tasting menu experience. The servers cook and cut the meat for you and are very attentive making sure nothing is overcooked. The banchan, two stew and steamed egg were good but not the best I've had. At the end of the meal we were definitely full and the bingsoo at the end was perfectly sweet, milky and refreshing. I think they actually use frozen shaved milk instead of ice. Overall I thought this place was very good. Yeah, this place is absolute shit. It's trying to mash everything that made Korean food good. Like menu and dry aged fridge vibe from Cote. Like using metal dishes. Like using the name Atti like Ato from Atomix as some "old Korean word for something" type deal. But they miss the mark on the most important fundamental aspect of bbq: the meat. The meat quality is below average. In fact, some of the cuts were borderline spoiled. For those of you wondering, the cuts were discolored, and after being cooked, have a sour taste. It's ok if the place practices wet aging techniques as sometimes that's the case. This place isn't that. It's just bad meat. They do get one thing close to Cote, the price. The service is also stupid. They put salt on the meat with their fingers as they cook it. I mean, look up the word: hygiene. I got my food a bit late, and the excuse they gave me is, "Most of the staff is on break right now." ...ok... then close the fucking restaurant until you aren't on break. Obviously. I was excited to try this place after hearing their concept was similar to Cote. But sadly the experience overall falls short for me. We ordered the Atti Han-Sang which consists of 4 selected cuts of meats with various side dishes. Our server added way too much salt to the first 3 cuts. The 4th cut was the galbi (which is already marinaded beforehand) was our favorite because they didn't have the chance to add salt to it. The banchan was nothing out of the ordinary, aside from the squash which I enjoyed and don't really see as a common side at other kbbq places. The egg soufflé wasn't as soft and seemed to be overcooked. The bing soo dessert was refreshing after the entire meal. The thing that kinda turned us off though was the $6 charge for extra ssam (lettuce wraps), which was not disclosed to us before we asked. Plus it's not normally an extra charge at other places. As for the service, it was pretty bare minimum. Our server really only came by to flip our meats (one of which he left cooking a little too long), I couldn't really hear him whenever he spoke, and didn't really explain what each of our dishes were. We also weren't checked on as often in between. Easily one of the best Korean bbqs I've been to in Brooklyn. We made a reservation on Resy. Small location but the staff to table ratio was well distributed. There's dim lighting, chic atmosphere and upbeat music in the background. Drinks are a must. Highly recommend the plum mojito. We started with the shrimp mandu and kimchi jeong. They were very tasty. If you have a party or 2+, you should go with the Atti Han-Sang. You'll get all the accompaniments (very tasty as well), on top of 4 cuts per person. Dried. Aged. Waygu. Went here on a Monday night with a reservation for 2 and it was a good experience. The seating was spacious with enough space for more people, possibly up to 6. We ordered the chef's selected 4 cuts at $69 per person, it came with side dishes, rice, lettuce, kimchi stew and dwenjang stew, egg soufflé, scallion salad, and shaved ice dessert. The service was good, there was never a time we had to look for a server as they were always nearby. They also do the grilling of the meats for you, which takes the guesswork out of it for those of us that aren't grillmasters. The menu and food is very similar to COTE in manhattan. The beef is top notch. Got the han sang for three at $60ish per person it was worth it. It comes with egg soufle and two types of stews. The other side dishes were decent too- a potato citrusy salad, kimchi, spinach, seaweed (liked this), pickles (but like american style- thought this was weird) and black beans that were a bit hard. After we ate our meats, we still felt hungry (we're big eaters) we ordered more of our favorite meat which was the wagyu flatiron. We asked for a few extra side dishes but they charge you $8 for extra lettuce called add on ssam set. That was annoying. The Bingsoo at the end was delicious. Great texture. Smooth. Could use more red beans though. Our waiter JOON (they all wear nametags with their names on it) was so attentive with grilling and cutting, making sure to cut the pieces right for my two different aged kids. They had a high chair for my lil one too. We were the only ones with kids the night we went but its Brooklyn! Get ready for it Atti! Service was overall good. Not too overbearing but attentive. It's dark inside and looks nice. I was in the corner in a booth so it felt very private but across from us Were some longer tables with two grills and there were two different parties sitting together. I found out, after asking the server, that Atti is owned by the same folks that run Kuun (literally next door), which explains why they were right next to each other lol. Reservations (right now) are still easy to get and I came early on a Wednesday evening with a friend to give it a try. Honestly, everything was very very delicious, service was wonderful and at the end of the meal, my friend and decided we might become regulars (given the close proximity to both our apartments). We ordered the Atti Han-Sang, #A which was the four selected cuts -- each cut of meat was better than the last (so good) and I really really loved the kimchi stew. They cooked our meats perfectly (medium / medium rare) and we both also loved the snowflake bingsoo dessert at the end. Great service, great location (for us, at least!) and solidly good food. Finally a kbbq spot in this area of brooklyn! We're already big fans of their sister restaurant next door Kuun, so we were excited to try Atti for kbbq. It's a fine/elevated kbbq restaurant with a beautiful interior and design, but it's definitely small. Their most popular item is the Han Sang, which comes with 4 cuts of meat, ban chan, steamed egg, and 2 stews. If you don't choose this meal, then you'll have to get the stews and egg separately.. which is usually included at other kbbq spots. For the 4 of us, they suggested 2 han sangs, and separately order the other cuts of meat that aren't included. It was a lot of food, but we had 2 hungry guys with us, so they polished it off nicely! My favorite cuts were definitely the wagyu (surprise surprise) and the short rib. I honestly could've gone without the others! They cook all the meats for you on your grill, and some were unfortunately overcooked for us, but just let them know you want it more rare next time and it was perfect. We also got an order of mool naengmyun because others raved about it in their reviews, but we were sadly disappointed with the flavor. They don't give mustard/vinegar on the side, so your broth should be good on its own! but not great that night.. Everything was great quality, but this is not a cheap meal! This was my second time visiting this Korean barbecue spot, and I was excited to bring my girlfriend to try it. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. After a 45-minute drive to get there, they messed up our order and forgot part of it. To make up for it, they offered us two free drinks, which seemed nice--until we realized they forgot to add the alcohol. Then came the confusion about the Wagyu beef. Their menu states it's Korean Wagyu, but when we asked about it, the staff told us it was "American Korean Wagyu." When we pressed further, asking what that even meant--like, did the cow live half a year in America and half a year in Korea?--we didn't get a clear answer. The mislabeling on the menu felt misleading and disappointing. The food itself was decent, but the service issues and lack of clarity around the menu were frustrating. Everything was tasty and high end. Even the tableware was high quality I must say. One thing that isn't great is how pricey everything is. I ordered some extra lettuce to wrap the meat and other stuff without realizing it was 8 dollars for a few slices of lettuce which is a bit ridiculous. I will say the ambiance is nice, small, intimate and new inside with a small bar in the back. We did the banchan chefs choice style. Numerous yummy sides that came prior to our meal from squid to kimchi to chickpeas. The meal came with 2 stews, rice and a steamed egg which were all carrying the meal. Now as for the meat, we were almost served raw meat so we asked for our server to cook the next cuts longer which resolved that issue. We got the chefs four cuts of beef ($69/per person) and it came with the hanger steak, ribeye wagyu, and marinated short rib (I forgot the name for one of them). While the decor is inviting and the food tasty, the service and management of this establishment are seriously lacking. My friend and I were so looking forward to this upscale Korean BBQ, and this culinary experience left a seriously bitter taste in our mouth. We ordered our food at 7:15 p.m. and by 8:15 p.m. we were handed over our check despite having just ordered a 2nd cocktail. I had barely taken a sip of my 2nd cocktail when the manager came over and told us that they needed our table for the next reservation. We were then told that it was an 1.5 hour max per table. My question is, why wasn't this stated to us at the very beginning. As a result of us being rushed, my friend was forced to chug her $20 cocktail while I had to have my barely sipped cocktail to go. A manager that respects himself and the establishment that he represents would have either offered to comp our drink since we were forced to leave or at least offered us an incentive to come back. The whole experience felt rushed, and it just feels like the establishment is run like a factory rather than a high-end restaurant. They want to ensure a maximum turnover while sacrificing the customer experience. We were also give close to 15 sides to accompany our $69 chefs tasting menu, and not once did the server or manager bother to introduce the sides to us. I had to ask them to do so. My water was also never refilled. I had to stop a server after 15 minutes waiting with an empty cup for me to have my water refilled. In the end, we spent $230, not including tip. Honestly, I'm highly disappointed! This is not how you run a high-end establishment. Both staff and manager on duty need better training in hospitality.
