I can't get enough of these types of quick serve "choose what you want" places. It's a great concept that's nice to be applied to places beyond Chipotle. Having been here several times, I finally went for the review (honestly I wanted to the last time I was here but ate my food too quickly). Last night, this was dinner for my girlfriend and I (to go). It's nothing special in location as it can be found nestled in a shopping center, but it's interior is Mediterranean chic (that might be a new category of design) with some low and high top tables. Eating there isn't bad, but we took it home to enjoy. The menu is set up from right to left starting with your choice of salad bowl, rice plate, or pita sandwich. Both of us went with salad (a lettuce base) to start. Next up, choose your meat (they have falafel too if needed). Chicken meatballs grilled on a skewered stick were what we both chose. They have a great flavor and taste quite fresh with a hint of smokiness from the grilled quality. Move on down the line and choose four toppings. We went with similar choices: tomato & cucumber salad, kalamata olives, pepperoncini, and spicy feta (which is probably one of the greatest creations of Mediterranean fare). Finish things with a sauce or two (Greek dressing and tzatziki for us) and pita bread (regular or whole wheat) for a dinner fit for a Grecian God. This place provides phenomenal Mediterranean cuisine. The chicken rice plate is my go to and wow! It's always great. There are so many options for customization this is the perfect place for some one who is picky. I suggest ordering rice plate with your choice of meat or falafel and then adding in your favorite toppings! Toppings range from, feta cheese, cucumber salad, chickpeas, onions and more. There are sauces and dressings you can add on as well. This is a really cool place! I love that it has so many options and the food is amazing. I really am craving it as I write this review. The staff takes your oder like a chipotle, moes kind of restaurant and they get your order done fast. I love the quick and friendly service here. I do wish portions were just a bit larger. I do ask them to put more of the toppings at times but it's no big deal. Plenty of seating but also a great take out option. The parking lot can be a little rough but it doesn't turn me away. I tied this place yesterday. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The space is very clean people were extremely friendly and they have a great selection of Mediterranean food. You can get a bowl with rice or a salad bowl or a flat pizza. They have great toppings and everything was really fresh. It will cost you around 13 $14 to get a salad bowl with a drink so it's a little pricey but it seems that for the fresh food, it was worth it. I got the falafel salad and chose feta, cabbage, olives and tomato cucumber salad. It was delicious and the falafel definitely had a kick. I will return for sure! read more

I always have s great experience when I come Here for lunch or dinner. The food is fresh and plentiful. You get your Monies worth. I love their salad with either falafel or chicken kabobs. The toppings are vast and they have whole Wheat pita bread. I like their hummus and Greek salad dressing. They make these pizzas that look yummy too or make a sandwich or rice bowl. Today took the words farm to table to a whole new meaning as this was my wife's and I go to place for "healthy and convenient" food. I ordered a salad bowl with a variety of options and the salad was great. It's when I reached the bottom of the bowl that I was shocked to find several thumb size balls of MUD in the salad. The worst is I felt the grizzle of the mud and assumed it was edges of the beef meatballs. Their was a decent amount of tiny mud pellets and penny sized globs. I ran the tray back up to the counter which was met with equal shock. The manager called over a kitchen worker and showed the mud, he explained the salad was pre washed. The manager refunded both our meals and I'm grateful for the gesture. I hope they'll be more proactive in combing the produce and todays result doesn't lead to sickness. read more

I WILL POST EVERYDAY UNTIL SHE IS GONE! This was my worst experience at Wild Fig and it started with the nasty purple haired girl behind the counter. I did not have a mask so I placed my order over the phone. I asked for a small side of hummus because I only got two toppings. She changed me $7 for a side of hummus and then proceeds to yell at me that I said it wrong. A month ago when my girlfriend and I came in, she screamed at us about the sides of dressing we asked for. Do not keep her awful attitude around your store. She should not work hospitality if she has this attitude. This was twice in a month that I came in. This place is great. Good food and prices. I love to come in and get some pretty healthy lunch. The seating however, is less than desirable. The best tables are in the corner as the place is pretty cold inside. It seems every time I have come here in the past year, the employees are sprawled out at the best seats in the house. We had the opportunity to visit the new Bayside, Queens location. The place looks fabulous and pleasing to the eye. We were delighted with the quality of the food and the service was pleasant and accommodating. The flat breads were terrific. Freshly baked and quite tasty. we ordered the Mixed Meat, and Spinach Feta Pides. They were excellent. We also ordered the Meat lovers Plate. We were very satisfied with the quality and taste of the items we ordered. The only complaint is the price of these items. One would think they could have been slightly less expensive for the amount of protein you are getting in each order. That said, we do plan I returning to this location in the near future. read more

Hits the spot every time! Convenient spot for customizable Mediterranean bowls. There are so many options--it can be overwhelming (in a good way). I recommend doing a half salad/half grain bowl. I haven't totally made up my mind. The restaurant is set up like a Chipotle, in the way that you order, and pick out your food. It is definitely pricey for what it is, but I'm sure that's just their way of making you contribute to the expensive real estate in the area. The best way I can describe Wild Fig so far -- it looks better than it tastes. When I think Turkish/Mediterranean food... I immediately think of food rich in spices and just simply put packing lots of flavor! However the food was a bit on the blander side believe it or not. Specifically the chicken flatbread pide thing... looked friggin great, however the taste didn't match the looks unfortunately. I'll definitely be heading here at least one more time to give them another chance when I head out of the office for lunch. read more

And there's no Fig implemented anywhere! What! It's a chipotle subway style place, it reminded me of Manhattan. I love LOVE Mediterranean food and this is such a gem to find. The service was terrible the server looked bothered wasn't very friendly and I just didn't feel welcomed, because it was my first time in there and he wasn't helpful at all. I had asked to put on some extra things in my salad but he looked at me like I was stupid and he said only 4 items allowed....Uh really? I could pay a little extra like geeeze. Service sucks. First time there for lunch today, last time for sure. Ordered Lentil soup - awful, ( $6.50) for a cup?? Don't mind paying for a good soup, unfortunately it tasted like hot water, I told the manager, he could not care less, stared at me until I had to tell him, I will take a small baklava instead, he promptly threw out the cup, no cordial response. I ordered the spinach & feta Pide, it tasted like it was 2 days old! no taste, no crust. what a disappointment. The Owner should be ashamed to serve this poor quality food. Food is pretty great. It's always fresh, probably thanks to the quick turn-around of ingredients due to the amount of customers. Service is so-so; some of the staff is great but a select few are always super grouchy and give customers unnecessary attitude. There never seems to be a manager on-site, so employees just fiend for themselves. Not very professional in that aspect, even for a fast food joint... I have to seriously complain about their hours. On the website, it says they close M-Sat at 10pm and Sun at 9. On the door it says M-Sat until 9:45 and Sun until 9:30. When you ask the staff, they say they actually close M-Sat at 9:30 and Sun at 9. So which is it?!?! I've only once encountered a problem regarding this, but a good amount of people I know have had awkward situations when they show up at 8:45/9 and staff tells them they can only get the food to-go. Plus, some of my friends say they've seen the place close at 8 unexpectedly. Seems weird to me. Maybe stick to the lunch hours. read more

Wild Fig is the delicious fresh Mediterranean food. They offer a variety of meats like Chicken, Beef, Meatball, etc. they also have falafel. You can customize between a rice bowl, sandwich or salad. Their sauces & fresh pita complete the meal. My other love is their fresh baked pides! It's like a Greek pizza but better! It's clean and cozy and the staff is always friendly. We had an office party catered from Wild Fig and everyone was beyond impressed! Too bad I always forget to take a pic before I dig in with my fork. As a local resident of the area, Wild Fig has become a frequent go-to spot if I need to quickly pick up a meal to bring back home. This place serves fresh Mediterranean food which is modeled like a Chipotle or Moes. I typically get a rice plate most of the time but you can also choose to get a salad plate or a mix of both, which is a great option as well. In addition, they serve freshly baked pides (Greek pizza) or flat bread sandwiches. Personally, I've only had their rice plates before so I'll speak to that. You start with a base (jasmine rice or bulgur wheat rice), a protein, and 4 toppings. In the picture I posted, I got bulgur wheat, half grilled chicken and half steak, pickled red cabbage, tomato/cucumber salad, hummus, and olives. They have a bunch of other toppings too so I'll mix it up now and then depending what I'm feeling. In addition, they offer optional pita bread and side sauces for free which is awesome. I guess the reason why I enjoy the food here is because they serve big portions and it's a bang for your buck! (~$11 for a plate) It's also relatively healthy since I'm getting a balance of my carbs, protein and veggies. The ingredients have always been fresh and tasty so give it a shot! The quality up in Glen cove wasn't good and it was very expensive. Here in Roslyn, much different. A vast improvement on the Glen cove place in all areas. Firstly, Service was fantastic and simple. The style is more "cafeteria style"/"assembly line", much like subway or a burrito place. this in and of itself is a vast improvement in speed and in service. (One of my complaints about the Glen Cove place was that it was abysmally slow). Roslyn is not. There' s an order to things. Pick from this list, add 4 things from this list, etc. The food was very good. Fresh, well spiced, etc. I will give a half-star knock for the amount of Tsatsiki (yogurt sauce) i received. To me one of the highlights of Mediterranean style food is the yogurt sauce. I ordered a Chicken Kebab on rice meal. The rice was a little over cooked, but I'll forgive that and retest next visit. The chicken was cooked very well, and well spiced. The hummus was very good also. Price: It is par for the course for Roslyn: about $10 for lunch. I decided to share a plate with her and not order my own 'cause my gut told me no. Thank god I didn't. She ended up getting the rice plate with chicken that comes with 4sides. We opted for salad and more rice, no extras and a soda. For the $11.25 it cost, it was most definitely NOT worth it. We sat down at a table and I took one piece off the chicken skewer, ate it and I swear my stomach turned in knots within about 3-4min as I was searching on yelp for a different place that I wanted to eat at after. The bread that they give you with your meal is no better, it was hard and stale. The food has no taste. No seasoning. And according to my gf, she stopped eating a little after halfway through when she bit into a piece of chicken that was way too tough to even chew. The only good part of this plate was the soda and the rice. But then again, how can one mess up plain white rice? Parking is very easy to get as there are many spots available. The location seems great. The service I guess was standard but the food is just absolutely horrocious. Usually, I tend to give places a second chance, a time to redeem themselves but this has fucked me so hard, I wouldn't and will never return to this establishment. SO! SO! SO! GOOD! The Chipotle of Mediterranean food. You pick a base of either rice or salad, then add your protein (chicken, steak, falafel), then all of your toppings (lots of veggies, hummus, falafel, interesting salads). You can also go the Pide root, which is like their version of a pizza. They come in a lot of different varieties and are definitely big enough to share. I recommend getting your own salad or rice bowl, and then getting a Pide to split amongst yourselves. Or just eat all of that by yourself because it is that good. They also have wine and beer. I visited Wild Fig based on coworkers' recommendations. My experiences have been just okay. My first impression is this place can get pretty loud. I tend to visit right around lunch time. With the music blasting was difficult to convey my order to the server. The first time I was there I was really excited to try the orange grain but they gave me white rice instead. With a line behind me and a tight lunch break, I did not bother to make a big deal about it. My first impression was that their food tastes so fresh. I ordered the chicken kebab with chickpeas, pickled cabbage, cucumber salad, and a pita on the side. I just wished there was more chicken on the kebab skewer! The portions are good for turning one order into two of my daily meals. The cabbage was a bit more sour than I had anticipated; though it did have a nice crunch. They packed my vinaigrette on the side well with saran wrap to avoid spillage. I felt like the side options repeated a lot; I wasn't sure what to choose. The second time I came here was for take out again; this time I had the orange grain with the chicken meatball and almost all the same sides as the first time. The chicken meatballs were saltier than the chicken kebabs, so I was a bit disappointed with them. However the orange grain was great! Adding a pita on the side is always a plus, but I'm not sure if I am willing to come back to try other things on the menu. The parking lot is busy and I find it easiest to exit from the back. The place can quickly fill up during lunch time. The food is comparable to Chipotle in the style that they offer but there seems to be more options here.
