    Salad & Rice

I love wild fig, to me it's like a healthy chipotle bowl. Every-time I go I get rice & salad bowl with double steak, double spicy feta, purple cabbage, with tomatoes & cucumbers. The stores ambience is really pleasant & welcoming for comfort food. Every time I order my food is ready within minutes.

This is a favorite stop on our way back from northern Queens. The staff is unusually pleasant and the food is quite generous. I'd like to see another meat offering such as lamb, as I find their meatballs to be rather hard. A good vibe and an attractive eating area, also a plus. Enthusiastically recommended.

This will probably be my first and last time here. Did a mobile order for 2 falafel rice bowls for my friend and I. You can only choose 4 toppings on the app whereas if you order in store, it's unlimited toppings. I arrived 30 minutes after I placed my order around 11:30 and my food wasn't ready nor made yet. The service was slow and staff were not very friendly. Don't expect smiles and greetings. The (baked) falafel was hard, tasteless and dry, it was almost inedible. We just ate the bulgar rice with the chickpea salad and hummus. The flatbread was ok. All I can say is, what a disappointing lunch. For $12 a bowl, I think I'm better off getting a steak burrito bowl with guacamole from Chipotle. Imo, not worth trying.

Fresh bowls or Pita with a Mediterranean flair. You can pick and choose your desired toppings and they're all fresh, vibrant and flavorful however a bit pricier than Chipotle and similar restaurants. You get what you pay. Trust me, their portions are very generous. This location is very clean with decent sized parking lot.

The service was a little less enthusiastic but the food was decent. The space itself and self serve drink station was clean and the store appearance was tidy and spacious. I came by at an off time, around 3:30pm for a late lunch. My friend ordered a sandwich (custom) with dressing on the side. I ordered the chicken, spinach, red onion and mozzarella piada. What I find confusing is this - the piada they served me with was the one on display. They picked it up and put it on the fiery oven that was baking other breads and piada's. So why not make me a fresh one? I didn't complain since I was very hungry and without seeing someone else order this, I had no basis to compare it to. Then as I was dining in, sure enough someone else finally ordered a piada and they were given a fresh one. So what gives? I'm not sure why I got the display version. Ingredients look fresh and they even offer beer and wine. Limited vegan options and definitely sell baklava. But what they don't sell is anything fig. I don't get it...

It's a pita they forgot our pita chips as well as not including my selected protein, chicken meatballs. Instead I got chicken chunks in my build a salad. Other than that this rating would have been a solid 4.5. You pick a base, protein, 4 sides and then 2 sauces. Wild Fig does direct delivery and as requested left the food at the front door. We received an immediate order confirmation and not too longer after a delivery schedule. From the time the order was placed to time it arrived at the front door wasn't more than 30 minutes. As I said too bad they didn't give us the pita chips we paid for (only $2) and substituted the chicken. We ordered online so clicked the correct boxes so there should have been little room for error. The Pomegranate vinaigrette was ok, it was the tahini sauce that really pushed the salad to next level good. One of my sides was the chick pea salad which was delicious. All sides are added on top of the base and protein. Sauces are delivered in small plastic cups on the side. I did like the salad and if I lived in Long Island I would order often from them. Alas, I don't so not sure I'd have the pleasure of eating the salad again. My friend really enjoyed her Greek chicken salad, came as ordered. Soft and pillowy, Homemade Pita bread accompanied both salads. While we ordered salad to keep our lunch on the light side we couldn't resist eating the pita. It was so good dunked in the tahini sauce. They did not skimp on the base, protein, sides or sauces.

I love Wild Fig, I used to frequent this location when I worked in the area. Happy the are expanding. Food is fresh, large portions. Lots of variety. Definitely worth the price, approx $14 for a bowl, served with Pita. My favorite is the chicken, the beef meatballs are also very good. Quick service.

The spices used do not seem authentic to the taste as one would expect. In summary, the food was uninspiring.

Ali the owner and his talented staff always make the experience great no matter how busy the restaurant is. I came here with very good friends of mine that I knew loved Turkish food. We came here on Saturday night and when I arrived the restaurant was packed. Despite that we never felt rushed, they were well staffed and worked together as a well oiled machine to make the experience flawless. The weather was perfect so we sat outside, there is ample parking either in their parking lot or across the street. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with hand blown glass chandeliers from Turkey. For the sake of brevity I'm going to list all the dishes we had. Each one had its own unique flavor down to the Lavos Hollow bread with its slightly buttery flavor. You have to try each one. Prices are very fair and portions are great. We had the eggplant with tomato sauce, Turkish Ezme, Calves liver cubes, a large Shepherd salad, for appetizers. For entrees we had two of the Bronzino, the Shrimp Shish, and the Lamb Shish. For desert we had the Chocolate Baklava, the Kunefe, the Turkish coffee, and a of the Apple tea. Ali made a couple of special dishes including an eggplant dish and home made hot Halvah for desert. It's amazing how small the world really is. My friends thought they knew the owner Ali but could not pinpoint from where. After talking for a while they realized they knew him from when he worked at another Turkish restaurant in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn called Liman. It has since moved to Coney Island. Ali opened Bosporus Cafe Grill in Port Washington in 2014 and I'm am glad he took the risk to go out on his own. His business partner is the chef and is also a butcher. They've combined their talents to provide one of the best restaurants experiences you will ever have. I've been coming here for several years and it never gets old. I highly recommend them for great food, service and atmosphere. There's a lot to see in Port Washington and you can take a stroll by the water afterwards.

Updated review! Still going after all these years!…read more This time for dinner. We got an appetizer platter which was fantastic but very pricey, if I'm remembering right it was $36ish and just because of the price I would not order it again. We also ordered the obligatory kebabs and cherry rice. Of course we loved them. For the first time ever we tried some desserts. I just ordered the oddest sounding thing. Falooda. Now I'm dreaming of eating it again! Rose/Lemon ice with little noodles! There was also some tart cherries in juice on the side and a lemon wedge. The waitress was so nice, she had to explain how to eat it. Just dump the cherries on top of the ice & noodles and a squeeze of lemon. It was delicious. Best dinner I've had in a while!

The combination platter is a great way to get a taste of a variety of meats. The barg is marinated beef that is so soft and tender, it's truly delicious, the jujeh is chicken that is big pieces and is so juicy, and the Koobideh is ground beef that has so much flavor. The albaloo polo rice is my absolute favorite. The sweet and sour cherries, almonds, and pistachios compliments the basmati rice so well. It is my favorite rice hands down! I can eat a whole plate for myself, since it's so light and fluffy. Service is great, the wait staff is accommodating, and the food comes out quickly. The ambiance is nice as well. Plenty of seating, and has a nice view of Main Street. I always enjoy eating at Ravagh. Plenty of food, and I never leave hungry!
