I recently visited Wild Eggs with some friends. Due to COVID, they have a covered patio and plexiglass partitions between the booths. Also, everyone of course is required to wear a mask. I got the special Southwest Steak Omelette. It was very delicious! The side of potatoes and everything muffin were not. They seemed stale and not fresh at all. My fiancé got the biscuits and gravy. While the gravy was good, the biscuits were also stale and not fresh. While Wild Eggs isn't on the extreme high end of restaurants, it would be nice to have some fresh food. read more

This was a much needed break on a very long day of driving, and the food was hearty enough to fill us up to contInue. It was also great that they have quite a number of gluten-free options laid out on a separate menu. I had the breakfast nachos, which was one of those things that was so good that I don't understand whhy I've never seen them before on a menu. My husband had a gluten-free Reuben that was piled high with meat and really tasty. I'm not sure when I'm going to be in Lexington again, but I'd definitely go back. Given the current situation with COVID19, I wasn't able to dine in. I was driving through and decided to take out from here because of the high ratings on yelp. To be honest, the food was okay. I wasn't blown away and probably wouldn't recommend it to friends. It might because it was take out, but I took it to my hotel and ate it right after so the food was fresh. I got Katie's benedict and the actual eggs ere great. They were laid over chili and bread and together, it was definitely savory. However, what turned me off was the muffin and the potatoes. The potatoes were hard and stale. They didn't really have a taste to them or seasoning. It was very bland. The muffin was dry and I kept having to reach for water. The food wasn't horrible, but it didn't live up to the hype. This wouldn't be my first go to if I drove through again. read more

I went to Wild Eggs today, 6-19-23 at 7:30 a.m., made a to go order. This order included pancakes. I received my order but noticed when I reached my destination it didn't include butteror syrup. When I called the restaurant to inform them of my order issue. The manager she told me that to go orders don't receive butter (note: I have ordered pancakes at this location before and had received butter with order), and the Hamburg location was out of syrup. If that was the case, why didn't the server mention that when I placed the order? That would have allowed me to change my order, cancel my order, or buy some syrup some place else. read more

The corn Chile cakes for the Benny were tasty. The scrambler and omelet were fluffy and creamy filled with fresh veggies. The got chicken was spicy, crispy and flavorful. The pleasant and delicious surprise was the everything muffin that was one of the best savory muffins I have had in my life!! I am so glad that I got to go to this place! You first walk in and are greeted by very nice people. The place is super cute inside, the salt and pepper shakers are egg shaped!! (Adorable.) The food came out in a decent amount of time and our waiter was very nice. I ordered the chicken and waffles and was delighted. The chicken had a really good spice to it and was cooked perfectly. The waffles went great with it. It also came with this buttermilk syrup and it was to die for! I got to try the country fried steak and thought it was really good with great flavor. Overwhelming menu of fresh made to order goodness. Five stack strawberry pancakes, fluffy, filling and perfectly prepared with a heap of whipped cream, strawberry compote and sliced fresh berries. Pancakes are my comfort food and these did not disappoint, however, sad to say I could not eat them all. Omlete was fluffy and tasty, little cubes of ham with light cheddar filling. Grits were creamy and once the server added fresh ground pepper, they became delicious. OJ was pricey, but fresh squeezed and off the charts rating for that, maybe best OJ ever. This was the first time here for me, although my sons come in quite a bit. Even tough it was busy, we were seated right away. They have bar, table and booth seating and some tables outside now that the weather is nice. The whole place seemed to have a diner vibe, but an open, bright, clean, inviting diner as opposed to an old, crusty, greasy diner that you just want to hide in when you're forced to go there. The menu was pretty diverse between breakfast and lunch dishes and they had a good selection of drinks. For those who like a little kick to their morning, there is also a somewhat full bar and several drink selections. Our server was nice, but kinda made me think that he might secretly be Clark Kent moonlighting from the newspaper. I ordered unsweetened tea with no lemon, but got sweet tea, no lemon. No problem switching it but someone else brought it back and now it was unsweet with lemon. Nobody's perfect. After bouncing back & forth between many delicious-sounding options, I settled on the Sweet Home Apple Bourbon Crepes. The ambience is very casual and seems like it would be a good place to have a conversation, but the overall chatter was so loud that we finally had to stop talking to each other lest the entire conversation be riddled with, "Huh? Say that again. I didn't here you." Food arrived quickly and was tasty. The cinnamon cream cheese filling was divine, although the crepes were a little small, and the topping tasted as expected, nothing spectacular. Usually have really good service. Today was different. We never received silverware and twenty minutes after our food arrived, the server came by. We had told him ten minutes after getting our food, but he proceeded to check out two customers and then take two tables orders before coming back to us. We had the slowest waiter in the place, the manager was working 4x's harder than any server in the restaurant. This meal took 30 minutes longer than it should had.
