However, when I was there today, someone at the table next to me ordered the Yellow Submarine (Scrambled eggs, American cheese, grilled shaved ham and apple wood-smoked bacon. Served on a toasted hoagie roll with mayo, lettuce, tomato, red onion and Habagardil pickle chips) which has me wanting to try it next visit. Being gluten free can limit one's choices while traveling, when I found this place online while searching for gluten free breakfast, I was excited to see they had a gluten free menu and even more excited to see I could get gluten free stuffed French toast! Sadly, that was not the case. The gluten free menu offered in the restaurant was much smaller and lacked the option for stuffed French toast, so I got the regular gluten free French toast. It was ok. We went to Wild Eggs, which happened to be the last restaurant of our 10 day road trip. First of all, we loved the decor. Second, we loved their creative menu. The breakfast lasagna is what caught my eye. Now, I do take issue with anything that's stacked being called lasagna, as it clearly isn't. That said, this was a delicious choice. This was my first visit to the WE location in Hamburg and it was great! The menu offers so many great options, it's an awesome spot for breakfast/brunch. Excellent service! Friendly staff and great food. This place was packed but the team was kind enough to sit our family of 4 quickly. The menu has a lot of great options! It's a brunch restaurant so you can get some great breakfast or lunch. We ordered an iced hazelnut latte with almond milk and a regular coffee to drink. They brought the pitcher to the table for easy refills. The kids both got apple juice with fun kids straws. The hazelnut latte was nothing special and really watered down so I wouldn't get it iced again. For food we ordered the Carolina scramble, Kids pancakes add bacon, Stuffed French Toast add Sausage. The prices are very comparable to breakfast places in the area. Portion sizes were perfect we didn't have any leftovers and left feeling full. The Carolina came with a choice of muffin, biscuit or bread. I chose a biscuit and it was so fluffy buttery and warm! The scramble also came with a bacon white gravy which I asked for on the side. It was not as peppery and flavorful as a sausage white gravy but it did go well with the meal. The stuffed French toast was seriously stuffed! It was a custard filling closer to yogurt texture and flavor with tons of berries and whip cream and powder sugar. The toast itself was crispy and had a sugar crust! So delicious! We celebrated an anniversary brunch here and really enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant was slow but busy if that makes sense. It was pretty quiet even though 75% of tables were occupied. Our server was Morgan and she did a decent job of attending to our needs. I had the Mad Platter with French toast, grits, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and a blue berry muffin. The husband had Country Fried Steak ($13.99): Hand breaded sirloin topped with white bacon gravy. Served with two fried eggs, home fries, and an everything muffin. I had the Carolina Casserole ($13.99): A southern casserole of goodness, combining home fries, bell pepper, onion, diced ham, crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, Monterey jack cheese, white bacon gravy and topped with two eggs your way. The waffle was extremely soggy. If you order fruit with your waffles, ask for it on the side. The eggs on the Benedict were soft boiled, not runny at all. The grits were soupy and very salty. The waitress (who didn't introduce herself, I still don't know her name) never refilled our water (we were there for an hour) and we had to ask another server for a pitcher of water. I went to the Palamar location. It has the atmosphere of your standard diner. They have a nice gluten-free menu. Gluten-free pancakes are a treat, as they are rarely available. I had the big stack. OMG. It's really big. I was able to eat less than half. If I'm back in the area, I'm likely to have one pancake as a side order next time. I also ordered a side of bacon. It was served crispy, to order. Also, coffee. Lots. Not too shabby. This place has generous, stick-to-your-ribs offerings and efficient service. read more

Chicken and waffles - waffles were good, but chicken was rubbery and tasted like leftover chicken. Sent chicken back, second chicken was same. Steak and eggs - steak was almost entirely gristle and unseasoned. Could not cut with a steak knife and had to spit out. Sent back, second steak was same. Tall cakes and omelet were ok - but muffins were old and grits of the day were not as advertised. Server removed 50% of chicken and waffles, which was fair, but nothing for steak. Okay so I thought iHop held the highest standard for pancakes but today I visited this brunch spot and was so impressed by the size of the pancakes not to mention how thick and fluffy as well. If I weren't with someone I could've started drooling haha next time I will try the strawberry tall cakes!
