Gluten free French toast
Tara R.

Being gluten free can limit one's choices while traveling, when I found this place online while searching for gluten free breakfast, I was excited to see they had a gluten free menu and even more excited to see I could get gluten free stuffed French toast! Sadly, that was not the case. The gluten free menu offered in the restaurant was much smaller and lacked the option for stuffed French toast, so I got the regular gluten free French toast. It was ok. Nothing fancy or much to write about. Service was ok. Some of the servers did seem a little grumpy or maybe they just hadn't had their coffee yet. Would I return, probably not. Overall the experience was ok.

Breakfast lasagna

We went to Wild Eggs, which happened to be the last restaurant of our 10 day road trip. First of all, we loved the decor. Second, we loved their creative menu. The breakfast lasagna is what caught my eye. Now, I do take issue with anything that's stacked being called lasagna, as it clearly isn't. That said, this was a delicious choice. It had everything: pancakes, eggs, meat, cheese, some syrup -- both sweet and savory in one dish. Needless to say, it was HUGE, and I was thrilled to bring the leftovers home. All of my companions also enjoyed their meals, and they complimented me for finding this restaurant. We also loved that they left a whole pot of coffee for us; I always like having the option of pouring it when I want it.

I came here with a group of friends for Sunday brunch. We were able to get a table of 8 pretty quickly without any issues. I got the Kalamity Katie Border Benedict. The chorizo on the benedict made it better. The eggs were perfectly poached to perfection. Totally recommend this signature dish. We also got the house-made cinnamon roll to share among 8 people. The coffee was mid, but everything else was great. The waitress Morgan was very friendly and took good care of us.

Mexico City Chilaquiles

I ordered the Mexico City chilaquiles and they are very delicious, they are not no authentic but tasty regardless. The potatoes were crispy and had just the right amount of salt. The service was also great and the egg theme is very fun.

This was my first visit to the WE location in Hamburg and it was great! The menu offers so many great options, it's an awesome spot for breakfast/brunch. I had the "surfer girl omelette" with an everything muffin and side of potatoes. Everything was delicious and there was enough to split with my (very hungry) 2 year old. The service was great and the restaurant itself is clean, bright, and open. 5 stars because I feel like Wild Eggs accomplishes what it sets out to do- serve a great breakfast!

GameDay fuel-up. Love the varied items on menu. Decent prices. Great coffee. The ease of making reservations and being seated was easy-peasy.

Excellent service! Friendly staff and great food. This place was packed but the team was kind enough to sit our family of 4 quickly. The menu has a lot of great options! It's a brunch restaurant so you can get some great breakfast or lunch. We ordered an iced hazelnut latte with almond milk and a regular coffee to drink. They brought the pitcher to the table for easy refills. The kids both got apple juice with fun kids straws. The hazelnut latte was nothing special and really watered down so I wouldn't get it iced again. For food we ordered the Carolina scramble, Kids pancakes add bacon, Stuffed French Toast add Sausage. The prices are very comparable to breakfast places in the area. Portion sizes were perfect we didn't have any leftovers and left feeling full. The Carolina came with a choice of muffin, biscuit or bread. I chose a biscuit and it was so fluffy buttery and warm! The scramble also came with a bacon white gravy which I asked for on the side. It was not as peppery and flavorful as a sausage white gravy but it did go well with the meal. The stuffed French toast was seriously stuffed! It was a custard filling closer to yogurt texture and flavor with tons of berries and whip cream and powder sugar. The toast itself was crispy and had a sugar crust! So delicious! The pancakes are thick! And easily shareable between our two kids. Overall a great place to stop for some brunch!

We celebrated an anniversary brunch here and really enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant was slow but busy if that makes sense. It was pretty quiet even though 75% of tables were occupied. Our server was Morgan and she did a decent job of attending to our needs. I had the Mad Platter with French toast, grits, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and a blue berry muffin. Everything was prepared appropriately and scrumptious. I love the French toast here. It's always buttery and delicious. I'd definitely recommend this location to others looking for a nice brunch spot in this part of town.

The food is always amazing and a great value for the price. We order take out regularly, and the food is always cooked perfectly.

Eggs over easy& fried potatoes

My friend and I decided to come here for breakfast on Sunday. When we walked in there were a few larger parties waiting to be seated. The hostess put us on the waiting list and told us it would be 10-15 minutes . It wasn't even 15 minutes before I received a text telling me our table was ready. Our server's name was Syndey and she couldn't have been any more friendlier than she was . I ordered two eggs over easy , fried potatoes and whole wheat toast with coffee. My friend had an omelette with whole wheat toast . The food was really good and I had a hard time not eating both pieces of toast. The coffee came in a carafe and was left on the table . I found the coffee to be really smooth and was surprised at how good it was . For the two of us it was a little over 28.00 and worth every penny of it . We really enjoyed the food and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant.

Chicken & Waffle
D B.

I ordered the Chicken and Waffles while visiting this location during a work trip. When it was brought to the table, the presentation looked great, but I was so disappointed when I cut into the chicken. I expected a chicken breast, not a chicken cutlet. The waffle wasn't terrible, but was a little dry. The waitress was super nice and friendly and overall service was great.

Well, apparently I beat the breakfast rush because by 8:30, people were steadily pouring in! Families coming in for breakfast, customers grabbing takeout orders, and others settling in to eat. Mind you, it was only 8:30 on a SATURDAY morning and they just opened! The place is giving industrial-chic breakfast spot with a little urban character! I especially liked the hanging Edison-style lights, exposed brick, high ceilings, and the colorful skyline mural above the door. There's a nice mix of booths, smaller tables, and larger communal seating, plus garage-style glass doors that open onto an outdoor patio. They were closed during my visit since it was a chilly morning, but I imagine it's a great setup when the weather cooperates. Ordering is done at the counter, where you're given a number to take to your table, and your food is brought out once it's freshly prepared. I was impressed with how efficiently everything ran. Even with a steady flow of customers, the line moved incredibly quickly, orders were coming out promptly, and everything seemed very organized. I went with the Build Your Own Breakfast Sandwich, choosing a medium-fried egg, cheddar cheese, and smoked paprika aioli on a brioche bun, along with some hot tea. My sandwich arrived in about five minutes, piping hot, with perfectly melty cheese and a soft, delicious brioche bun. Simple, fresh, and exactly what I wanted for breakfast! They also have several other breakfast options, and can we talk about that bakery display for a second?! Fresh baked bread, Cinnamon rolls, caramel pecan pastries, croissants, and other sweet treats that looked absolutely delicious. Definitely tempting, especially when you're standing right there trying to place your order! Between the food, the atmosphere, and how smoothly everything ran despite the morning rush, DV8 Kitchen made a great first impression. A cute little breakfast find in Lexington, and I'd happily stop in again!

We got water and menus right away. They serve Breakfast/Brunch from open to close (9 am to 3 pm, dinner hours Fri, Sat) as well as lunch items and the menu looks good all around. My wife got the Fried Green Tomato BLT. I got Brunch on a Bun (fried egg, a large sausage patty, pepperjack cheese, bacon jam, on a toasted pretzel bun). Both came with Tots that were crispy and hot. She said the BLT was great and it was large and a lot of food. My sandwich was hot and delicious, but really messy to eat with hands. Might be best as a knife & fork dish. Either way, it was a lot of food and I took home part of it for later. Both dishes were $17 and worth it. We look forward to going back as this experience was flawless.

We loved this adorable little biscuit breakfast spot!! :)…read more We spent a weekend away in Nashville but came back through Lexington to visit a couple of distilleries as we made our way back North. Nashville really turned us on to the biscuit breakfast so when we saw that Lexington had some choices we knew we had to try! We stopped into Biscuit Belly on a recent Wednesday morning on our way out of town and were greeted with the nicest staff, waiting to take our order. We had a few questions and the man at the register was super knowledgeable and extra kind!! When we stop into a new place, my husband and I enjoy ordering a couple of different options and sharing so we can both try more things in one visit! :) The biscuit belly choices made this difficult, so many items look amazing!! My husband ordered the Mama's boy and I ordered the Fire in your Belly! Both of the sandwiches were delicious! The Mama's boy had the most tasty jalapeño pimento cheese and the perfect accompaniment, a fried green tomato on top!! This was a great combo! The Fire in your belly felt like a more simple sandwich, with less on it, but the flavors went so well together, it ended up being our favorite!! The cheddar cheese really brought everything together so nicely!! Both also came with delicious pickles which doesn't sound like it fits into a breakfast entree, but it truly did!!! :) We enjoyed both the loaded tots and cheesy grits on the side! If you get a chance to stop into a Biscuit Belly sometime, I would definitely make your move!! ;) We don't have places like this up North and that's a sad, sad thing!!

On a Sunday night, there was a wait, but we were able to snag two seats at the bar. The bartenders were great--I wish I remembered their names! They made some excellent food and drink recommendations and were very attentive. We started with a Caesar salad to share, which isn't pictured, and then ordered two pasta dishes that we absolutely devoured. Everything was delicious! The following day, we discovered that many restaurants are closed on Mondays, so we ended up at Carson's again. This time, we decided to check out the back porch. We were expecting a similar menu, but the back porch seemed to focus more on meat and fish options, while we were looking for sandwiches. So, we relocated to the main dining area at Carson's without a reservation. Thankfully, the hostess was able to seat us but let us know that we would need to be finished dining by 7 p.m., which wasn't a problem for us. Our server was great, and we started with the goat cheese appetizer, which was absolutely incredible! Unfortunately, my Buffalo chicken sandwich was drenched in Buffalo sauce to the point that I couldn't really enjoy it. My spouse and I also decided to share sides of the mac and cheese and smoked Gouda broccoli. I was pretty disappointed with both because they were heavily covered in truffle, which I personally don't like. Because of that, I wasn't able to enjoy my second meal here as much as I had hoped. Nonetheless, I would still recommend checking out Carson's. There are plenty of menu options, and our first experience was fantastic. Based on my two visits, though, I would strongly recommend making a reservation if you plan to dine here!
