I've been wanting to check out Wild Eggs since they opened this location in Oakley but never got around to it until recently. Overall I would have to say I enjoyed it. The atmosphere was open and clean. A very comfortable place to have a nice breakfast. The menu has a lot of interesting looking options..but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try their Buffalo Chicken Omelet. An omelet stuffed with chicken, cream cheese, cheddar-jack cheese, and topped with buffalo sauce just sounded delicious. And it was! All the flavors melded perfectly and it tasted great. I had heard great things about their tater tots so I had to get a side of them. They were amazing! I don't know why..but they kinda tasted like little grilled cheese sandwiches. Whatever it was made them taste amazing..probably some of the best tater tots I've tried. I got a side of bacon just to..you know..have a side of bacon..and it was very good as well. Crisp and flavorful. I tried a bite or two of their chicken and waffles and they were really unique as well. They came with chicken..but the waffles were also infused with chicken. Very interesting..pretty tasty. Would definitely order it for my meal in the future. Service was great. Very friendly, very fast..just about all you can ask for with breakfast service. Pricing-wise..it was reasonable for the quality of the food. A little more expensive than IHOP of Waffle House..but not as expensive as some of the other higher end breakfast places in the area. I came here around 11am on a Friday and there was no wait. The cinnamon roll was the best thing ever! Move over Cinnabon, this cinnamon roll was all that and some. It was moist and sweet as expected. The only thing is that the cinnamon roll was served room temp, not hot as the waitress stated. Thumbs down for that. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Went for brunch and overall the food was good overall. My mimosa was the highlight though. It was perfect! I had the mr potatoe head casserole (or something like that), and my friend kinda made up her own meal. My meal was very good, but towards the end, there was a small piece of hair in my veggies ‍. As for my friend, her meal was also very tasty, but she did have to send it back once because the eggs were cooked medium- instead of scrambled as she had ordered. She said that had oatmeal was runny, but edible. It looked watery to me- I wouldn't have ate it. This place has always been one of my favorites. At 10:30am on a Sunday, my boyfriend and I were immediately sat at a table. We were greeted approximately 5 minutes later by our friendly waitress. By then, we had both our drink and food orders ready. I had the Kalamity Katie's which is always my go-to and it NEVER disappoints. The food came out within 10 minutes and met all expectations. Me and a friend decided on Wild Eggs for brunch. The reviews seemed positive and I liked that their menu had a lot of options to choose from. We arrived around 11am on a Sunday and was told the wait would be 30 minutes. It actually ended up being 40 minutes but I expected a wait at such a busy time so no problem. Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I decided on the wild mushroom and roasted garlic scramble and substituted the everything muffin for a blueberry muffin. I wish my eggs were seasoned more as they were super bland and the table salt and pepper didn't help. The eggs come topped with goat cheese which is kind of bitter tasting and super creamy. I enjoy goat cheese but if you don't like that then I would ask for a different cheese. The potatoes that came with the eggs were tasty and perfectly cooked. I'm so glad I tried the blueberry muffin. On a recent visit my husband ordered the Mr. Potato-head Casserole. He let me taste it. OMG, Life changing! (LOL, not really) but now I have another reason to go to Wild Eggs. It's a potato casserole made with sour cream which gives it a slight tangy taste. The bottom has a brown crusty crunchy texture Then it's topped with onion, peppers, sausage (you can substitute with turkey sausage or bacon) and queso. So good! The interior is clean and spacious. Lots of windows for natural sunlight. They have outdoor seating which is appreciated. Customer Service has been wonderful every time I've been there.
