We got so excited for the cinnamon roll that we forgot to take a photo before digging in

Wild Eggs is kind of the Cheesecake Factory of the brunch restaurants- their menu has so many items it's overwhelming. Not counting their seasonal menu, there were approximately 50 brunch meal choices. We had a reservation, but got there early so the hostess said we might have to wait for a bit. After a short time, we were seated and it was still before our scheduled rsvp, which was nice. Our server was pleasant and fun but kept things moving. The best part of our meal, and frankly worth the visit alone, was the housemade cinnamon roll we ordered to share between the four of us. It came out in a little cast iron skillet and it was to die for! So good! I had eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes with toast. They brought each of us two pieces of toast but no jelly or honey which was a disappointment. My meal was ok but I wouldn't order their bacon again, it was pretty tasteless. The restaurant itself was bright and cheery, with a lot of natural sunlight. However, it was a really hot day and they have a patio that servers were in and out of so it was uncomfortably hot in the indoor dining room. I'd probably return but maybe in cooler weather and just order the cinnamon roll and a cup of coffee.

We had a nice time here. The front desk, Brenda and Jane I believe, were a great introduction to our first time here. Brenda pulled the table out from the bench for me and then pulled our chairs out for us as well. It was an overwhelming welcoming environment. The food was delicious, I really enjoyed my Corned Beef Hash Bennie - the corned beef slices and eggs lied over a thick slice of shredded potato. I also tried the grits of the day. Good prices and service was quick for being a Sunday morning.

Cinnamon roll was solid! It was a little undercooked, but it was still great tasting. I would circle back and try again

Love this place for a quick order pickup. Food is solid and there are many choices. It's always consistent for me. The idea of Breakfast Lasagna was intriguing, but the taste was a little too heavy. The standout here remains the cinnamon roll, house made and ooey gooey good!

Mexico City Chilaquiles very nice with chorizo. The Verda salsa has a decent spicy level without over powering

Fun place that was jamming on a Saturday morning. They have a nice looking patio but in 100 degree heat most people want to eat inside. We were seated right on time for our reservation, which I highly recommend you make on a weekend. The food was very tasty and inventive and served in a very timely manner. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. Try the cast iron cinnomon roll it was the high light of the meal.

It's been a while since I've been here only because every time I drive over that way, the line seems to be hanging out the door. This Saturday morning when I stopped in there must have been a small window for me to sneak in. My daughter had the stuffed French toast and I had the surfer girl omelet. Both were very good and filling. The omelet was stuffed pretty full and I couldn't eat it all. But I was able to take it to go so I could share back at home with hubbae. Our server was great at describing the dishes we had questions about and checked on us routinely throughout our meal. I plan on returning again, as soon as I see another opportunity, and bring my forever date to try something different on the menu.

The food is really good and creative I got the Kentucky hot brown! It was fantastic! The breakfast lasagna also looked great!

Sunday morning, right before the Bengal's game, Wild Eggs was packed and buzzing. We were seated outside promptly and received friendly service. The food took a while to arrive but it was expected. The coffee was very solid. The star of the show was the skillet cinnamon roll which was so rich, decadent, and sweet, definitely something to split. It definitely took a couple of years off my life but was worth it. The surfer girl omelette was also good and the portions were huge for the prices. Will definitely be back!

My family stopped at Wild Eggs for breakfast the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This was my first time at Wild Eggs and while it wasn't terrible, I wasn't impressed. The restaurant wasn't crowded when we showed up around 9 but did get busier by the time we were done. The menu is a nice mix of classic breakfast items and interesting twists for those wanting something unusual, unfortunately I think for those wanting the 'adventurous' selections might be disappointed. I had the Creole which was a large 4 egg omelet with shrimp, andouille sausage and everything a fan of Cajun/Creole food would expect. My omelet looked nothing like the picture on the menu. The omelet was flavorless and dry. The only reason the omelet was large was because of the 4 eggs, not because of the filling. The grits were just a small, bland bowl of dry grits. Disappointing because I might've been expecting to think this would take me back to food I've had in Louisiana or other parts of the south. The others in my group ordered what I would call traditional breakfasts, and all seemed to enjoy their choices. Would I eat at Wild Egg again? Maybe, but I wouldn't put it at the top of my list.

This is a classic brunch spot with very sizeable portions. Their Strawberry Tall Cakes and the Breakfast Burrito could surely feed a crowd. Everything always tastes good, but not incredibly outstanding. My must-haves are the giant skillet cinnamon roll perfect for sharing and the Everything Muffins. Service can be a bit slow but akways friendly. I definitely recommend dining out on the patio on a nicer day if you can.

The food is outstanding across the board--from the steaks to the cheese sticks--but the real star is their bread pudding. It's absolutely worth the trip from anywhere in the tri-state area. Parking is also easy and convenient, with a garage right across the street, as well as their own lot and additional street parking. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great meal and an even better experience.

They have a charming patio at the back of the interior space as well. I didn't realize they have their own lot, but in case it's full, there is plenty of street parking nearby. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and kept drink refills flowing. We ordered the pretzel and beer cheese and the poutine for starters. The pretzel was huge and tasty. I didn't care for the beer cheese, probably because I was expecting a more solid cheese product. I would describe this more as a cream sauce. It didn't seem to have much cheese in it and was very 'liquidy'. Also the ramekin was only half full. If it had tasted better, I would have asked for more, but as it was not, we didn't even finish what was given. I thought it was a bit pricey at $12.95 for one large pretzel. On the other hand, the poutine was fantastic! A very unique take on the dish with a mix of cheese curds (although they reminded me more of pieces of mozzarella sticks), french fries and Andouille cream gravy. I ordered the fish tacos which consisted of Blackened Salmon, Thai Chili Sauce, Black Bean Corn Salsa, Pico de Gallo. My order came with two and they were fantastic! Since Blinkers is known for steaks, I will have to give them another try at dinner time.

Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

Going back and forth on stars for this one. Me and around 30 of my coworkers came into town for a…read moretwo day workshop and they got us a room block at this hotel. I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.
