I love this place with my whole heart! I came here for the first time in about October 2023 for a…read moreFriday the 13th event they hosted and I have been coming back for events ever since. For the latest updates on events, follow their instagram @colormeminecovina! They have so many special events that cater to various interests and groups and ages and truly anyone can enjoy here. I came back for my 5th time on Valentine's Day with my boyfriend and we had the best time. We chose the 6:30p-8:30p slot, and paid $50 for the special event table reservation (included a couples caricature). I know they had a later Valentine's reservation slot from 9-11pm and those couples got a little heart shaped trinket tray as part of their $50 fee. The table reservation cost does NOT include the price of the pottery you choose. They have a wide selection of pottery pieces you can choose from at varying price points so everyone can find something they will love to paint during the time. They had a new astrology jar with a lid that i've never seen before and instantly fell in love. My partner needed a bit more time to choose a piece, and decided on a dragon wrapped around a tower that will include a tea light for later to light up the tower (super cool). The two pieces were less than $100 total ($36 for the jar and $54? for the tower dragon) which is around the price I was expecting to pay. Note that my boyfriend and I showed up at 6:15 to look at the pottery early and we were thankful we did because it gave us extra time to paint without feeling a super tight time crunch. The staff was super sweet and attentive and remembered me from past times I've been there, which makes me feel more comfortable and happy there. They were checking tables frequently and making sure paint was always available and refilled for our use. They also gave us time checks to let us know how much time we had left which was appreciated. It is important to remember that 1 coat will leave a lighter finish while 3 coats will create a more opaque finish. They had a card on the table that said more than 3 coats of paint can warp your piece during the drying process or even cause an explosion due to trapped air between paint layers so do be aware! You also have to leave your pottery for up to a week so it can fully dry and bake in the kiln so the glaze hardens and becomes all shiny and beautiful. I have been happy with every piece I have made at Color Me Mine Covina and I will definitely keep recommending it to those around me because it really is that fun and enjoyable of an experience.

You pick any type of pottery that is pretty much a blank canvas. After that, you select which stencil you would like to put on. Then you paint on it. It's actually pretty relaxing and quite fun to do! Also, I think making a plate is useful since you get to use it daily! Since the night was Hello Kitty it was filled with a large selection of the Sanrio characters plus some of them wearing the Dodger hat. I picked a heart plate to decorate. You can pick whichever colors you want and then make it your own. You won't get the plate right away it will take a little while but I can't wait to see how it turns out!

We appreciate the staff being fun with us, we jokingly asked them if they wanted a shot and they politely said no, haha! Jackie and Angelina were amazing and played good music! If you're going to the Adults Night Out and they're working, you're in good hands. Overall the selection was ok! It's expensive but at the end of the day this is a luxury activity. I was prepared for it to be expensive.

I paid the non-refundable $200 fee for a birthday party expecting a designated party experience,…read morebut unfortunately it was extremely underwhelming and did not justify the additional cost. The "party space" was cluttered with inventory, drying racks, paper rolls, and painting supplies, making it feel more like overflow workspace than a reserved party area. The party table itself was barely separated from the rest of the store setup, which made the experience feel no different than simply walking in and paying the regular studio fee. We only had five painters, and honestly we could have paid the standard studio fees ($50) and received essentially the exact same experience. The only noticeable difference the extra cost provided was a chalkboard sign with a very sweet handwritten note to the birthday girl. I do want to emphasize that the two young women working were extremely kind, helpful, and clearly doing their best. My disappointment is not with the staff, but with the facility setup and the value of what is being marketed as a "party package." At the current price point, the space and accommodations simply do not justify the significant upcharge for what was provided.

The space itself is gorgeous with terrazzo tables, rattan pendant lights, and a wall of colorful glaze swatches that make it feel like a creative sanctuary. We painted ceramics together and the whole experience was way more fun than either of us expected. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, checking in on us throughout without being intrusive. I actually slipped out mid session to grab drinks from next door and they had zero issues with us bringing them in, which was such a nice touch. And when we ended up finishing right at closing time, the team handled it with total grace and never made us feel rushed. The glaze color wall alone is worth the visit. There are so many options that it's almost overwhelming in the best way. Whether you're artistic or a complete beginner like me, you'll leave with something you're genuinely proud of. If you're looking for a unique, low key date spot with a great vibe and even better staff, Kitsch is it. We're already planning our next visit!

I love Color Me Mine, and this location is one of my favorites to go to! It does get really busy,…read moreso a reservation (or at least calling ahead to see if they can hold seats on the day of) is pretty much a must. The Brea location has more seating than other locations I've been to, which makes it a bit more forgiving if you try to do a walk-in. Reservations are made online and cost $5/person, which goes towards your total. From a large palette, you choose five colors. Sometimes if a friend and I want to use the same color, we'll just put it on one person's plate, which ends up giving us more color options overall! There's also a guide on each table with tips for different ceramic painting techniques. There's a cup of various styles and sizes of paintbrushes, and you can also request for a thin bottle for writing or detail-work. You get two hours to paint, but I've never felt rushed with either picking my piece or during the actual painting process. The staff here are always so attentive, courteous, and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. I've noticed that when it gets super busy and you need a paint refill and someone hasn't come by, don't be afraid to raise your hand or walk over to someone, everyone is super friendly. They have a great selection of pottery, and you just pay the price of your piece plus the flat studio fee. The space is clean, and I love that they also offer outdoor seating. Since it's right in the middle of downtown Brea, it's fun to people watch and enjoy the vibe outside on a warm day. They'll occasionally have special events or deals too, like student nights with a discounted studio fee. With its central location in downtown Brea, it's such a perfect spot to catch up with friends, celebrate a birthday, or have a cute date!
