It was our first time and they made us feel extremely welcomed and invited. That's a HUGE green flag in my book. You want to be around people excited about their job and what they do. When I went to pick up my friend's kid, he was very excited for what he cooked. I got to try some of the pizza he made and honestly, the crust was better than a lot of the pizza joints out there and the crust I've made before. He's in the older class (pre teens and teens) and seemed to enjoy cooking with them. Afterwards, the front desk told us about the different classes and programs. We got the recipe for this week and past weeks so we can try them at home as some of the items caught my eye. He loved the class and will be going back. If your kid has an eye on cooking and wants to learn, I'd definitely sign them up here. It's always good to have some hands on help to ask questions and learn. Wish they had more classes and we missed out on sign ups for the summer. It's $40 a class or 4 weeks is $145 I believe. 90 minute classes. Since they already have the ingredients and everything, it's worth the price.

The entire place was very clean, spacious, and well kept, which made the experience even better. One of my favorite things was that it wasn't packed at all when we went. We barely had to wait in lines, so the kids were able to go from one activity to another without spending the day waiting around. Overall, we all had such a great time and definitely left happy! Boomers was alright, but now that it's back to Bullwinkle's, it's 1000% better! Okay first and foremost, adding axe throwing, I love axe throwing, am I good at it? I'm alright. But it sure does let off a lot of steam! Finally got to go on the new track, oh it's pretty cool to be able to go up a ramp instead of just doing the normal turns. Mini golf is always fun, outside courses need a little love, but that Western that got turned to cosmic, and now back to be an amazing Western theme *chef's kiss* I live for that. I would love to see the rest of the building after it's done with renovations! Okay food, holy cow, that was unexpected. The boneless wings were perfect breading to chicken ratio, the crunch was perfect, and the flavors were great (I wasn't even very hungry so that says a lot about that). Later in the day, we got more boneless wings, because I now have a problem, and we got some pizza. That pepperoni pizza had that perfect crispy bottom, while still being fluffy, the flavors were surprisingly amazing. Look for the ESCAPE ROOM sign over head and the mirrored front windows. They have two rooms: "The Amazing Argo: A Steampunk Adventure" and "The Lost Treasure of El Capitan". We chose to do the Argo room. We were greeted by Alain, who would be our game master. After scanning a QR code on the TV to complete the online waiver, we were escorted into the room and our time began. All parts of room are immersive and there are a lot of really great props and display items that fit the theme of being on a steampunk airship well. The room is mostly non-linear, but flows well, and has a big variety of puzzles with just a few locks, quite a few mechanical puzzles, and even a few arcade style puzzles. There was one puzzle that wasn't properly reset but Alain was quick to resolve the issue. He gave us helpful hints without totally giving the solution away when we asked for help a few times which I always appreciate. This was a close one, but the two of us escaped right at the 60 minute mark. Afterwards, we enjoyed discussing elements of the room and other rooms in SoCal with Alain. He also gave us a quick view of the El Capitan room which I'm sure we will return to try. They are currently building a third room Code Black which will be a mostly completely dark room. Their rooms are very reasonably priced at only $50 per person for two people. The price per person goes down if you have a bigger group. Give their rooms a try!

Quest Tavern definitely delivers on that experience -- our group of three felt like the game had already started as soon as we walked in, thanks to the decor and our game master, Diego. Diego was incredibly friendly throughout the entire experience, starting from the moment he welcomed us in. He also enhanced the immersion by slipping into character to introduce the backstory of our chosen escape room, complete with an accent entirely different from his normal one (the guy should seriously consider voice acting). After we completed the room, he was a wealth of knowledge when we asked for recommendations on other escape rooms to try, and his enthusiasm was contagious. His passion for escape rooms made us excited to plan our next one, which ended up being one that he highly suggested (Ministry of Peculiarities). It is your choice on how big or small you want it and how you would like to paint it as well. Just note that you should not paint the bottom of it so when they can bake it, it will be ok. Overall the session was fun and yes your hands will be a little messy from the clay but you can wash them, inside of the studio towards the back. I came with a party of four and all of us came with something unique and different. I would do this again and can't wait for my next projects. Oh yeah, you will not get it right away you have to let it stay a few days and they will leave it outside with a locker code so you can pick it up anytime after it gets baked in the oven.
