It is next to a sushi restaurant and a smoke store

Memo is welcoming and entertaining. He paints kind of fast but he knows what he's doing and he will help you and encourage you. The space is comfortable and has everything you need to paint. Also you can buy drinks here! Or byob and snacks. Someone brought a little Caesar's pizza to the event, I thought that was really smart. Highly recommend this business.

This is the perfect place to plan your paint party. Look no further! I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. It's easy to find, close to the freeway and thwre is plenty of parking. The place is spacious, fun and clean. All good vibes from the moment you walk in. There is beautiful artwork displayed all over the studio. We had a family gathering here and we had so much fun! We are planning on coming back again soon. No doubt you will have a great time! Memo is very friendly and a great teacher. All of our paintings came out great thanks to Memo! He gave us easy instructions and was patient with those of us that were a little behind the others. Memo has some beverages for sale, but you can bring your own food and drinks. This was my first time doing this and I didn't think that it would be so much fun. I enjoyed painting and started getting a little creative once I was able to get the hang of it. There was nothing but laughter and great conversation while we were painting. A great experience all around. I would give this place 10 stars of I could. Can't wait to go back. There are also some paintings in the very front for sale. Check them out! I can't wait to come back with my cousins and do it again!

Our group went to Memo's to celebrate a birthday and Mother's Day. Our group had a nice time during our visit. It's wise to bring some cold drinks and some snacks while at Memo's. There are some paintings available for purchase. The art studio is large and it can accommodate groups over 20 people.

Memo is such a cool guy! Very patient with people who have minimal artistic skills (me) - and was all around a really good sport. The Micheladas were ON POINT and for sure helped my art skills. Can't wait to go again!

Memo deserves a million stars!! We celebrated our daughter's 4th birthday with a few relatives and the entire experience was wonderful! He made everything so easy and enjoyable. Contacting him and booking was so easy, he answered my 20 questions, always so promptly and was so accommodating. He made us and all of our guests feel so welcome, the customer service was above and beyond! We felt like we made a new friend. His gallery is so neat just to see and the entire space is so clean, neat and very spacious!! He sets the mood/theme with music for you and is so attentive. You can set up a food/snacks table, bring cake and even alcohol Then the painting part is so awesome, he is amazing with kids! He's truly talented and visiting his place is quite the experience! I highly recommend Memo's canvas for any painting gathering...birthday parties, holidays, date night, girl's night out etc!! You will not be disappointed!! Thank you so much for making our daughter's birthday so memorable!

By far the best and most fun experience I've had! This spot is legit a hidden gem! We went here to celebrate Physical Therapy month and let me tell you, BEST IDEA EVER! Memo was an awesome host & was very entertaining! Good music playing and you can request songs! The studio is very neatly kept & clean. I highly recommend this for all your painting parties! We'll be back again real soon, Memo!

Booked a painting session for my birthday, just me & my girls. We had the BEST time!! They all said how much fun they had! Memo was so accommodating to all of us, he made us micheladas, let us take over the music, hung out with my hubby and allowed us to bring food, snacks, booze and my birthday cake. He took his time with each of us, explaining the whole process. Thank you for the great birthday experience Memo!!

Pictures are definitely worth a thousand words! So I've added a few to show what an awesome time we had at Memo's Canvas. The place is nice and spacious and all around a fun atmosphere! Memo was a fun host! We never felt rushed or pressed for time. The painting part was awesome. The bday girl (btw, they have a special apron for bday peeps) picked the photo we painted. We sipped and painted!! Super fun! Heck! Check out the photos!

The lovely Birthday cake!

Got to experience Memo's Canvas because my Goddaughter wanted to have her birthday party there. I have never been interested in picture painting, mostly because I don't have that skill or eye for painting. But since my Goddaughter wanted her party there, I went along to celebrate her birthday. I paid to participate in the painting so I wouldn't be a party pooper. To my surprise, I had the best time ever!! Memo led the group through a tutorial on how to paint the picture the birthday girl wanted, AND IT WAS FUN!! (We did a black light paint session) Challenging to the non painter, but definitely fun and interesting!! I didn't do too badly, but was VERY surprised that I enjoyed it and had genuine fun! Memo also doubled as a bartender with his tasty micheladas, and great music to keep the party going. Memo is a fantastic painter/teacher, as evidenced by some of his paintings on display. You won't be disappointed if you book a party with Memo's Canvas!!! Do it!! DO IT NOW!!

I absolutely enjoyed my time here. I had my Daughter's 11th birthday party with a small group of her friends, and they had a blast. Very accommodating and he put up with 5 tweens and a 6 year old. I will be back and I have already referred many of my friends.

I suppose things have changed a bit since then, especially in the world of art. There was a time…read morewhen the styles, colors, and movements I admired were dominant, shaping the way I understood creativity. Artists worked with familiar techniques and mediums, and the galleries I visited felt like they followed a certain rhythm. Over time, though, the art scene evolved. New forms emerged, digital tools became central, and experimental approaches took the spotlight. Even the way people engage with art feels different now--social media, virtual galleries, and interactive installations have transformed the experience. Looking back, I'm struck by how the art that once felt timeless has become a memory of its era, and how the ever-changing nature of creativity reflects the world's constant motion.

This is the physical headquarters of the Pomona Valley Art Association. It is also a co-op gallery…read morecalled "Gallery SoHo." I showed at this gallery for almost a full year, and I still serve as the newsletter editor for the association. There are a few issues with this gallery: 1)The gallery is more of a boutique then an art gallery. Yes there are a lot of paintings on the walls, but the presentation makes it feel like a boutique. The walls are painted different colors (yellow, green, rust/orangy color). It looks nice, but when it comes to vewing the artwork it's very overwhelming. There are a lot of nice pieces of art, a variety of style and media, but there is so much on the walls it's hard to see any one piece individually. It feels a bit crammed. 2) The lighting is really bad, and there is no AC. This is not nessecarily the PVAA's fault. The Owners of the property (Jeved) have refused to bring this and most of their buildings in Pomona into the modern age. There are fans running in the summer, but it's just not enough. If you have the patience to look through everything, you will find a few artworks that you'd like to take home. The prices are very reasonable and there are no commisions-all the money from a sale goes to that artist. Each month there is a "monthly show" with a different theme that anyone can enter. There is a specific wall dedicated to this show. All entries are displayed (no work is rejected unless there is a technical issue-i.e. video/computer work), the winners win anything from art supplies to cash, you can enter any and all monthly shows, and the money made off of the entries goes into gallery expenses, and prizes for the student shows they host. The Association is starting to bloom. It is a non-profit dedicated to creating inexpensive and free venues for members to show their artwork. They also offer classes. It costs $20.00 a year to be a member, which includes discounts on the monthly and annual shows they produce, as well as a subscription to the newsletter. To exhibit in Gallery Soho, it is $15.00 a month, plus 5 hours a month of working the gallery.
