This place. It is a 20-minute drive from work, but my crew, who are mostly Americans from diverse cultures, LOVE this place and the chicken. The only problem is that I am always the designated person to pick up the food (10-15 orders). The service is incredible; the owners and staff are super cool and always have pleasant conversations. The place is small but not tiny, with a few Peruvian decorations to keep people engaged while waiting for the food to be ready. Since we order often from there, we call or email way ahead of time. It is worth the drive. We have tried more than a few places around, and Wild Chicken is still the best-flavored rotisserie chicken in the area. read more

They immediately asked if they could answer any questions, and I felt ZERO judgment for not knowing what I was ordering. They explained everything with a smile and kindness. Came here on a Sunday night 30 min before they closed, everyone there was so kind and helpful especially since it was my first time here. Everything looks very authentic and made with love, the chicken was juicy and the yucca was still crispy even after a 20 minute drive home. Keep in mind that chicken, especially one as good as this, takes time. Next time I would definitely call ahead just to make sure they have enough chicken-it's that good. Best Peruvian restaurant in all of Virginia -- USA even. I've been multiple times and even had it catered. Not only is the food spectacular from their classic chicken to the lomo saltado to the chicken sandwich, fries, yuca, platanos. Everything is worth trying. You musttttt try their home made tres leches. Everything is at an affordable rate with a more than generous portion sizing. Every time I've dined here, a staff member has patiently and enthusiastically taken the time to explain the various items on the menu and how they're prepared. Tonight, the owner noticed that I wasn't eating the tomatoes that came with my meal and apologized for not knowing I don't like them (entirely my fault, as I'd never told him this), and even though I didn't consider it a problem, he asked me how he could make it right and even offered to cook me a new meal from scratch! This type of family-owned, customer-centric business is rare and precious in today's fast-food economy -- it's like taking a trip back in time, to when restaurant owners cared about fostering loyalty and not just grabbing all the money they could. The staff here are so kind and sweet! Yesterday was my first time trying the Rotisserie chicken! I ordered to go! Let me tell you the chicken here is so tasty and the flavor is so delicious! My favorite add on to the chicken is the green sauce! The sauce is a little spicy but the flavor is so tasty! This place does not really compared to other peruvian chicken places I have been too. The Peruvian chicken overall is average. The chicken was nicely flavor, but I found some parts of it to be way too salty. Also, the chicken was sort of moist. Some parts more moist than other. The yellow sauce had a thicker consistency than what I am used to, but it was still good! We also ordered the yucca, and it was piping hot when it came out! The first bite was so crunchy and soft in the inside. Outstanding yucca!!! Would probably come back here to get my Peruvian chicken fix next time when I am in the area :) read more

The flavor for the chicken was ok. I've eaten at about 10 different Peruvian rotisserie spots, and the flavor for the chicken was not quite on point. I ordered breast meat, took a look inside and it was a thigh and leg. I pointed this out and they changed it. I didn't look inside the take-out box until I returned back to work. The serving size for a breast was really small. My co-worker had a breast and there was a considerable difference in size. I also had an Inca Cola. Needless to say, service was pretty good. Plenty of hungry folks were here for lunch ordering take-out and dining inside. I recommend that you take a look at the order before you leave so you're not in for any surprises. I will return. Today I went in to get lunch around noon and ordered three whole chickens. Despite the fact this place is overpriced and doesn't give enough sauce or sides for a whole chicken purchase compared to ALL other chicken places. The owner that was there today is a liar. I get there and he tells me they don't take AMEX only I'm a regular there and I've paid with AMEX before. He's looking Into my wallet telling me what to use. I told him okay give me my card I'll go somewhere else because I know they've taken it. So he goes and charges me almost 11% on tax to not assume the charge for AMEX. I'm a previous business owner snd this move is called theft snd dishonesty. I will be reporting them to the BBB and reviewing them on all platforms. read more

I was nervous when we walked in at lunch and no one was in the restaurant. The lady was very friendly. They was out of yellow rice and the pork (Chicerron). I got the 1/4 chicken dark with rice and beans. The Rice & Beans was very tasty. They came separate but I put it together and was still good. Now the chicken was a little dry as if was old and I had dark meat. However they was accommodating when I asked to replace my chicken. It turned out the second piece was also dry. My counterparts had white meat which was very tender so....The food was average. Not the worst Peruvian spot but no where near the best. read more

I tried this place for the first time today. I got the chicken wrap with fries and a side of rice and beans. The wrap was just okay -- it was pretty bland until I poured the green sauce over it. The fries were soggy and limp and just blah. But the rice and beans were the worst! Totally dry, tasteless, and honestly almost inedible. Popeye's red beans and rice is 1000 times better than this. The wrap itself was stuffed with juicy chicken and lettuce and the fries were hot and crispy. It was so big I could only finish half. My bf ordered chicken skewers Peruvian style. The chicken was so tender it literally fell of skewer and melted in your mouth. The restaurant staff were easy going, helpful, and friendly without being overly intrusive. However, I have several reasons why only a three star: I paid $20.00 for a whole chicken, one scoop of below average rice, and 15 terrible French fries. Way, way, way too over priced for chicken! I live nearby and we have tried this place few times hoping it gets better but we were wrong it's worse. Food is average and I have tried better flavors somewhere else. They are expensive for what they are offering. Never listen to what the costumers want and they give the cut they want to give first, ie the dried one. The place is simple but clean. The chicken is very tasty, and the French fries and the Yuca are great with the Peruvian mayonnaise and the hot sauce. Most times their hot sauce is perfect, but sometimes it is just too salty. The Anticuchos are very well seasoned and they are delicious. They serve 4 sticks, and they come with roasted potatoes, hot sauce, mayo, and a piece of corn on the cob. I would have given one more star to Wild Chicken for their Anticuchos if it weren't for the fact that every time I eat them there, I get at least one of the pieces of meat with some muscle tissue. When Anticuchos are prepared properly, the meat is cleaned VERY thoroughly to make sure NO piece of muscle is left. They just have to make a better job at preparing the anticuchos.
