What a neat find! I was searching for some paella, and this restaurant delivered. What I ordered via DoorDash: * Seafood Paella: It's so delicious! It wasn't dried out, it had tons of seafood (mussels, shrimp, and sausage), and it was very flavorful. I would totally get this again. * Alfajores Cookie: I didn't expect such a huge cookie! It wasn't bad, but I typically make my own and prefer a smaller portion. The dulce de leche filling was very generous, which was a bit off-putting. I think this would be more successful if it were smaller. * Cheesy Bread (Cuñapé): This was also huge! If you think about it, one of these is enough to replace three smaller ones. It reminded me of Fogo de Chão's cheesy bread. I didn't eat it warm, but it was still decent and had that perfect, chewy tapioca texture. Next time, I'll dine in to try their empanadas and flan! As a Bolivian myself, I'm always on the lookout for dishes that remind me of home. I had the silpancho, which was cooked to perfection. The peach drink was a delightful pairing. I also tried the empanada de queso and the huminta al horno, that really hit the spot. While I found the treats to be decent, they were not quite as memorable as the savory meal. That said, it is all a matter of preference, I have had some that were a bit better. Nevertheless, if I find myself in the area again, I would not hesitate to stop by for a delish meal. I came in and had the Silpancho. For the amount of food, I can see why it was $20. The meat was cooked well, the eggs were over easy, and there was a healthy amount of pico de gallo on top. Underneath, there was some potatoes and rice. The rice?! Oh my god the rice was amazing. It was really nicely seasoned and the entire dish had multiple flavors going on that I didn't get tired of the taste. As for the service, the staff was nice. There wasn't much to note, as everything went smoothly and we didn't need much assistance during our visit. In general, the food was delicious. First time at this local gem. Arrived after lunch and the seating area was still full. The ladies who helped us were knowledgeable and kind. The woman at the counter offered us menus as we waited and ushered us to a table. Ultimately we ordered Lomo saltado, beef Salteña, and horchata. Guys, the food was really good! As good as the pictures are, they can't tell you how the dishes were seasoned perfectly. The Lomo saltado was the perfect mixture of steak, onions, tomato and peppers all over crispy fried potatoes, served with white rice. The beef mixture of the Salteña was flavorful and I enjoyed the light sweetness of the bread covering of the pie. The horchata delicious but is sold by the glass, with no free refills. This generically-named Bolivian bakery & restaurant has both a take-out area and dine-in space. The dine-in space is small so don't bring a group, even getting a table for more than three is a stretch. The service is quite friendly. *Saltenas: I love these savory pastries. These come in beef or chicken as filling. They taste hot (gotta be careful eating these with the liquid pouring out with each bite) and fresh. The stew filling is perfectly seasoned. *Picante de lengua: This is on the weekend special menu. It's stewed beef tongue with rice & potatoes. This may be the most tender slow-cooked beef tongue I've ever eaten, and the stew seasoning is delicious. The menu reads "spicy" and I sensed no heat whatsoever, but in no way was this dish bland. *Alfajores: These cookies are quite large size and look really appetizing behind the glass bakery display. Delicious, not too sweet, but still full of flavor. *Humintas: I love these corn cakes wrapped in corn husk! Such an upgrade from typical American cornbread. Tastes less dough-y, and has more actual corn kernels inside. One of the best Bolivian restaurants in this area for sure. I'll be back! It's just a shame that the dining space is so small so I can't bring a larger group. This Bolivian restaurant is a hidden gem! The place suffers from a bad business name but don't be fooled. The food here is to die for. I've been a regular at this place for a while! If you don't know what to order, here is my recommendation for your first try. Get Silpancho which is thinly rolled beef fried with bread crumps served on oiled up rice, slices of potatoes, eggs and onion, tomato combo to bring some balance. This dish is so good that I have to keep coming back. I also like the fact that every time I came, the taste is exactly the same - super consistent. Just beware, the portion is HUGE! If you don't eat a lot, this can easily be two meals. Pair it with freshly made Horchata drink! Then get Alfajores for dessert. Amazing food! The place is quite small so I wouldn't bring a big party. I'd be surprised if they can serve 15 customers comfortably. The decor is also not there but I'm not really complaining here. This is not that kind of restaurant. You come here for the authentic food. Communication could be a challenge as I found not all waitresses speak fluent English. This was the second time I've been here and it does not disappoint. My wife and I were initially recommended this place when we were in the are and wanted a quick bite to eat. Pulling up it is located off a main road an a busy strip mall so parking can get a little difficult to find. When you enter its a tight fit with a bunch of smaller tables and just a long counter for them to display their daily offerings. When we arrived my wife and I tried their saltenas, alfajore and Gyro sandwich. We ordered one chicken and one beef saltena they were fresh made and fairly hot when we tried to eat. They are served with a spicy green sauce that pairs well with them. Biting in they were very delicious, filled with potatoes meat juices and veggies. The dough is nice and thick and has a good flavor. If you are ever on the lookout for good bolivian saltenas this has to be a place to try. We also get the gyro sandwich, and while opening it up it did not look super appealing but once I took a bite I was surprisingly mistaken. It probably thelp that they are right next to a halal market to get the lamb from but it was super tasty combined with the veggies, pita, and feta cheese on top I would definitely not sleep on this offering. We also ordered the alfajore which if I'm being honest was not my favorite but definitely not the worst I've ever had. So they have things like paella which is a moist saturated with flavors with sausages and lots of seafood and they also have I think it's called saltenas(?) it's a small stew in a pie form. Love love the saltenas here. I honestly come and get them all the time and they never let me down. Chicken is my go to and I love it. You can even call ahead to reserve some since they tend to run out and once you can be there in reasonable time they will hold them for you. The people here are also very lovely and they have lots of desserts and a full menu that you can choose from. read more

I love places like this -- locally owned, small business with really nice people. It's a Bolivian bakery with breakfast, lunch and dinner service, mainly South American food. There are only about six tables and the order will arrive quickly. Each day of the week has specials, but Tuesday is my favorite -- Lomo Saltado (you can get it other days too). Come hungry, the portions are large and the food is top-notch. Avoid looking at the delicious cakes and other baked goods -- you'll be tempted to leave with a bag of goodies. I ordered the patty double cheeseburger even though it is called a double patty hamburger and it comes with cheese. The bacon wasn't included in my ordered, but my wife doesn't like it when I eat pork. "No pork for me." The place went through waves of guests getting orders, but the managers and cooks got it done. My wife's order did not come out right, but the problem was quickly fixed with an apology. The food is good, but there is one big problem. We did not have enough room for dessert. Honestly a while back, the staff wasn't too friendly this last time I went although they didn't speak and kind of looked at me weird at first, I wasn't backing down from the food. They no longer sell the TUCUMANAS but they still have the authentic SALTANEAS, which were magnificent!!! The sweet bread moist and deliciousness of the baked treat is sooooooo delightful . The salteñas here are excellent! I went to this place on the recommendation of two Bolivian peeps and I was not disappointed. They have a pastry case with lots of sweet and savory baked goods, including both chicken and beef salteñas (sort of like a liquid-filled empanada for the uninitiated). I also got some cornbread with cheese that was top notch. Lunch specials rotate during the week. The day I went there was chicken soltado (chicken pieces with French fries and veggies in a salty gravy sauce). My dining partner practically licked the plate clean. Plenty of parking, but the store itself is small so you may have to wait to grab a table. I'll definitely be back soon. read more

Great Spanish food. Try the Chairo soup. Beef soup it is so good with tender beef. The Fricase soup/stew with pork ribs which is flavorful and a little spicy. The stews here are good with rice and some chocolo (corn). Try their stews such as the picante de lingua. Soft tender meat served with corn, tomato onion and a stew potatoes with rice. This is my Third visit and I have learned that customers only go here for the food, as the service is poor to say the least. Unfortunately, today was bad ALL around. Let's go back to the second visit... we entered and the tables were all taken but two, so we sat ourselves as that's how they prefer to serve. Within five minutes a family of Three came in and we had not yet been served nor had our drink order taken, so we kindly got up and grabbed a high table with only two chairs and gave the family of three a table to enjoy their meal. Both the family and Waitress thanked us for accommodating. Let me just say, the family who we gave up our table to received their drinks and food before we were even noticed again. Today. Now our Third and FINAL visit took the cake. We entered the restaurant at 2:50pm, they had a sign up that said they closed at 3:30pm. So we were ready to scarf down and get out in time for the staff to enjoy their holidays. Upon getting sat down, we ordered two coffees, a sprite, salteñas and was told that there were no cuñapés left as the oven was turned off.... people were still picking up their orders and I feel sorry for them. I had to ask for a menu and still felt rushed to order. I asked for the Falso Conejo and they "were out". So we ended up with the sopa mani and Fricase. We put the order in by 3pm, the women were counting out their tips by 3:10pm. At around 3:15, we heard the kitchen bell ring three times, Nobody moved. At 3:20 it rang again. 3:25 a woman noticed us just sitting there staring at the wall and came over and asked if we were okay. I replied "Yes, just waiting for our food". She went into the back and the cook told her he had rang the bell several times to let us know the food was ready. Not being our waitress, I understand it was not her fault. Yet, our waitress NEVER checked back in with us. Once our food arrived, not only was it already cold, but EVERYTHING was microwaved. The fries in the sopa mani were worst than left over twice baked frozen fries so we did not eat it. There were Two (not exagerating) noodles in the whole bowl. I had asked for no salad nor tomatoes on my plate, that request was ignored. But, to top if all off, check the pictures of our food. Instead of rice I got porridge. They must have nuked it so bad that it because mush, then they tried to fix it by adding clumps of butter. Finally you can tell they gave up and just send it out with a green onion garnish . The meat felt like it came out of a frozen dinner box. Please do better for your future customers and treat them well as they are paying for what they order. read more

I used to live in an apt complex walking distance to this little restaurant/cafe. I've gone several times for their lunch specials or just to pick up a snack. I've never eaten something I didn't enjoy here. The prices are fair and they give you such a large amount of food! The saltenas are perfect for a quick bite - they have beef and chicken ones, both are good but I prefer the chicken ones. Almost like a chicken pot pie in handheld form, but with a tad sweeter taste due to the breading. The beef saltenas have a bit of sweetness to them and it's filled with huge chunks of potatoes and beef. The exterior is soft and baked to perfection, the inside is hearty and juicy. The green sauce adds a little kick but pairs really nicely with the saltena. The spicy chicken also has chunks of chicken and potatoes. Super filling and the perfect handheld size. I'll tell you one thing, the potatoes here are no joke! They will fill you up quick! Another thing I am in love with here is the Horchata! I just discovered this small restaurante that surprised me with a good service and delicious "Salteñas". It is small and easily full of clients in the weekend but they were fast and kind with my take out order.Prices are reasonable and there is a good variety in the menu. I like the sweet options and the exotic Empanada de Cebolla con Queso but I am not sure that's the name, I know the content is the exotic combination of onions and cheese but don't expect to find a lot of cheese, it's a bolivian dish and is not fully loaded because that's the way it is in Bolivia.
