OMG, this was sooooo good! I'm always apprehensive about trying fried food here due to lack of flavor and seasoning but this place didn't have that issue. We were hangry at an event we went to and decided to give them a try. We decided to share the food in case it was underwhelming, and, we saw how big the pieces were. After that first bite, I knew we'd found another place to depend on. I'm sure my husband could have eaten all of this alone. He kept going on about it after every bite. This food was absolutely delicious. It was seasoned very well and had a slight lemon taste. I love that they seasoned the fries as well! Nothing's worse than bland fries. They also have great customer service. The two guys at the Urban Arts event were really nice. We'll definitely eat at this truck again. read more

I have mixed reviews. Very friendly staff. The fish was AMAZING!! It was fresh with excellent breading. Mac & cheese; my son loved it, I'll pass nothing special, kinda bland. (I'm partial to Cracker Barrel). Coleslaw; fresh, again my son liked it more than I did. A side order is enough for 2 people. Banana pudding is right up there with the fish, it was delish. Got to try out Whitty's Chicken and Fish tonight at the Vistancia Monthly food truck night and they did not disappoint. The fish was AMAZING with an awesome cornmeal crust that just melts in your mouth. The chicken wings were hot and crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. The macaroni and cheese was fought over between me and my kids, so that should tell you how good it was. It was definitely homemade and worth every penny. The fries were crispy and fresh. We did not try their coleslaw or banana pudding so I can't comment on those but the rest was great. We would definitely eat from them again. The prices were decent for a food truck, especially for the amount of food you get. Two plates with one extra side of macaroni and cheese served my entire family of four. The service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and you could tell they love what they do and their food. If you see this truck definitely get something. You won't regret it! read more

This is the best tasting food from any food truck I have ever eaten. I love the Fat Baby. It is two large pieces of fish with your choice of one side. I could eat the fish every day. It is lightly breaded, thick and full of flavor. I usually get the slaw but I have had the mac and cheese and fries. The food is seasoned perfectly. I don't need to add any condiments. The chicken is tasty also. I recently tried the cooked cabbage. It was better than my own... seriously. You must have some banana pudding and sweet tea. The tea has some secret ingredients to enhance the taste. Yummy! Your taste buds will thank you. It's like having a southern home cooked meal prepared for you. Am I back in North Carolina? Am I standing in my Grandma's Kitchen? Are we at my aunt's house at a fish fry? I didn't even see it I smelled it first. My nose led me to your food truck at Food Truck Friday West. It did not disappoint. I wanted to try both offerings, talked my friend into the Chicken so I could get the fish. I had just got done explaining to my niece she wouldn't like catfish because sometimes it's muddy. I had no idea what I was talking about, this was the freshest cleanest fish I've ever had catfish wise.I personally somewhat like the muddy taste but I did not miss it at all. Now Haylie doesn't like to try new things so I had to bribe her to try the fish and she ended up eating my second piece. She never had catfish before this moment but said it was the best she ever had. The amazing tartar sauce is all this fish needed, tried it with hot sauce didn't even need it. The flavors of everything down home in southern food were present. The wings where crispy and excellent. The breading has just the right amount of seasoning. I love and hate this food truck. It stops by my place of work for lunch on Thursdays and the food is all I look forward to all day. So far I've ordered the fish, potato salad, mac and cheese, and banana pudding. Fried fish is one of my favorite foods and their catfish is as good as it gets, period. The other day I even brought my own side of greens to go with the fish and potato salad I ordered.
