Had an amazing experience with My Louisiana at the Queen Creek Feastivals on Friday night. Wife and myself had already had something to eat. However we keep on hearing about this amazing bread pudding from My Louisiana. So, we ended up ordering their bourbon bread pudding and the cinnamon fireball bread pudding. They were both amazing! This gave me a chance to look at their menu, and there is no doubt that next time I'm ordering the Jambalaya. It looked amazing, and it smelled amazing. Next time we see them, that's going to be my first order.

I would like to preface this review by saying Rashard/Rashad was very polite and respectful while the truck was busy and 30-ish minutes away from closing. But for $14.50 I had high expectations. & sadly the most exciting thing about this meal was the french fries... I got 6 incredibly small pieces of catfish. (My co worker who ordered just before me, got 3 BIG pieces and several small pieces like mine...) I put them all side by side after this & it was basically 1 piece of catfish. I placed an order online 15 minutes BEFORE my co-worker did in the physical line (I was charged immediately after it was placed), just to be told they didn't check the phones for online orders because their line was super busy... but "they heard it going off" ..and my order wasn't approved yet or started cooking. So I waited 20 MORE minutes. Not sure if it's cause my fish pieces were too thin but the fries had more flavor. /: It came with no sauce or napkins and in a giant paper bag. There were also multiple people who had been waiting when I got there and came back while I was still waiting because

This food was nasty. The jambalaya looked like some fried rice. China ink fried rice better than this. Cajun fries over cooked chicken too dry. Very disappointing for the price they should've gave this to us for free!

Favorite food truck on God's green earth. In all seriousness, though, the owners are so nice and the food is amazing.

DELICIOUS! Flavorful!…read more Walked in, were greeted right away. The restaurant wasn't super crowded at 11:45am on a Wednesday. We were able to get a table easy enough. Placed our orders. Our drinks were brought out to us promptly. I ordered the ceviche de camarón o pescado. I couldn't decide between shrimp or fish. So the server said he'll do half and half for my order. Problem solved! My friend got the Botana de camarón cosida. Both dishes were refreshing. Mine had a great citrus punch to it. Definitely lots of lime! You'd think it would be all that filling. Just some fish and some shrimp. But there was so much on the plate, I was DEFINITELY full! Even left a little on the plate. The place was nicely decorated. Very kitschy Mexico street stand vibes. No overly loud music or tv blaring. Could talk easily over lunch without yelling at each other.

This place is some what of an off location and you would have to know it's here. Little small restaurant with friendly staff and nice decor. I wanted to try everything but looking at the price I had to make one choice. Waitress was very helpful with making my decision. I decided to try the Botana Especial, which has shrimp aquachile Rojo, verde, and ceviche. Price was little out of what I like to spend for a lunch but I said what the heck, I'll roll that dice. Waitress came back with the fish and they looked yummy and decorative. She recommended to put some mayo on the tostada and she selected two salsas she likes the best. Well I never put mayo on anything but for some reason I said hell with it, I'll give it a try. First took a spoon full of the aquachile Rojo and just tasted the juice.. Oh my word, I don't know what kind of magic they pulled here but I never tasted such fresh, tasty, refreshing aquachile in my life. I was instantly in love.. So i put on some mayo, shrimp, cucumber, and slice of fresh avacado. Drip some red sauce and in my mouth it went and wow, for this time only I would have to say I like mayo... Combination of everything went so well together. Rojo was my favorite out of the three but shrimp ceviche was also amazing. Verde also had nice flavor and very tasty. Portion were pretty good and I was pretty full by the time I finished the dish. I was tempted to pick up the plate and drink the left over, but my luck I spill it all over my shirt. I really really enjoyed this place, I felt like I was sitting in the beach somewhere in Mexico and someone just made my dish and brought it to me. I can't get over how yummy this place was, I can't wait to try the tower which has some octopus and scallops.... Yummy. Girl told me owner started off with food truck and now open this place and it's been here two years.. Hope it stays busy and open for long long time.

Only downside is that…read morefor some reason Apple maps was not accurate to finding the location and parking was a challenge as it is right on Roosevelt Row. However as soon as I found it and immediately after entering Pretty Penny I was transformed to the cutest little restaurant. I was greeted immediately and had made a reservation so even though my friend hadn't arrived yet, they sat me down. They instantly offered water and menus (food and cocktail). I noticed that the menu seemed very small and the dishes were shareable -- I don't eat meat so I was hoping my friend wouldn't mind sticking with fish and seafood (which she didn't). As soon as I got to my table there was the cutest sign that said welcome to Sarah Sherman and guest -- it was such an adorable and personal touch, I loved that! As soon as my friend got there we immediately both ordered the cold brew old fashioned -- we thought about the espresso martini but this just sounded too good to pass up -- and we were not disappointed! This drink was so tasty and strong. We immediately ordered the bread (sourdough boule) to soak up some of the alcohol as well as some oysters and the salsa. The oysters were so well spiced and were absolutely delicious. But the bread, the bread, the bread -- the server mentioned that it took almost 9 months to develop the bread recipe and it served. It was the best bread and butter that I think I have ever had! The salsa was good but probably was my least favorite of everything and it was still super yummy. We then moved on to the octopus tostadas. Sometimes octopus is not my fav -- it can be too chewy but this was so amazing and incredibly flavorful. It was starting to be my favorite dish until we ordered the Hamachi -- OMG!! Talk about a mouth orgasm-- both my friend and I were yummming it up -- but seriously this bite was so complex with different flavors coming up with every chew -- it has coriander candied peanuts, fermented pineapple, avocado, pickled fresno, toasted coconut and aji amarillo yogurt -- The server mentioned that this was the chef's least favorite dish which I totally do not understand because this was off the charts in my book. We also tried the earl gray whiskey sour, which was light and delicious, and ended with the shrimp toast and the espresso martini. By the way the toast on the shrimp toast was like a little fried dough triangle -- sooooo gooood! The martini was good but the cold brew old fashioned really stole the spotlight for me. Other details I loved that just elevated the experience: Purse hook (very important to me), the little trays for your utensils, metal coasters, incredibly attentive servers, fantastic music, great ambiance and the cutest was the penny they put on top of your check. So cute -- was not expecting such an enjoyable all around experience!! Will be back 1000%!!!

To start, the menu is a bit puzzling. It's kind of like a handful of Asian-inspired dishes, a handful of Mexican/South American, and a handful of French or New American. But there's not enough of each to chart a course through one type of cuisine. So, basically you're gonna have a cultural melange meal. Hamachi crudo was really good and fairly unique. The halibut was excellently prepared but not particularly innovative in any way I could tell. Zucchini had goat cheese, which wasn't immediately clear from the description, so I didn't enjoy the rude surprise I got when I took my first bite, and didn't eat anymore, as I really despise the stuff. So that was a waste. Not a dig on the dish, just a personal thing I wish I had more notice of. There were other issues though. The wine list was exceptionally small, They were out of the bread, which is supposedly a must-try. And then we were going to get the steak but the folks next to us advised against it, showing their cut that had zero fat. They said it was leather. On that point, the tables are SUPER CLOSE. Like, a couple inches apart. You hear everything and almost can't avoid getting entwined into others' conversation. We liked the people we were next to, but be aware that it's an unintentionally awkward communal experience that's not well-suited to a date night. The service was pretty good, they put out a nice printed greeting with the reservation name, and give you a sparkling wine toast. But considering the price and overall experience we had, I'd pass and not come back.

We are fans of the local competitor and wanted to see how this one compared. TLDR: the other one is better! We each ordered the Famous Low Country Boil - mine with lemon pepper sauce and my daughter with the 88 Special, a combo of all the sauces. She went with no spice and I went with mild. We also ordered a bowl of rice. We did enjoy what we had but it seemed heavier than what we are used to. We were not big fans of the sausage mixed in and our service was fine, but not amazing. We were also disappointed that there were not scissors offered to help get the meat out of the crab / lobster - we really had to work for it! On a positive note, we did make good use of the wet wipes that were given to us as well as our bibs and gloves. It is quite a messy meal and note that I learned the hard way: don't wear white if you're planning on ordering any kind of seafood boil! Pricing is similar to the competitor. Ambiance is chill but not as fun. I would not rush back, but I also would return with reasonable expectations.
