This is not my favorite place to bowl. It's over priced, not well maintained, and too crowded. The lanes do have oil on them, but not in the center, which means they do not oil them that often. their lanes are also short. I've been here once and never going back again. read more

Great suburban style lanes, and lots of them! The pro shop here is absolutely amazing. I got to the bowling alley only to realize my ball had cracked in half (it was cheap and I left it in the car during winter) and he was able to immediately get my finger hole measurements, sell me a great ball basically half off and worked with me all night until the holes were right. I've never bowled better! Great prices, one star knocked off for the drink prices at the bar and the bartender who was kind of a moron. read more

Honestly it's not the most up to date place, but if you are looking for a no frills experience then this is the place for you. Despite my one check in, I have been here a handful of times as my husband loves to bowl when We make the trip up here to see family. The place is dated--let's get that out there right now. It's like stepping back in time to the late 70s/early 80s. But they have the basics--a bowling ball, shoes, pins and a lane for you. I'm not sure how crowded this place tends to get, but we have always been able to get a lane when requested. As far as the staff goes, I mean I don't interact with them longer than 2-3 mins to pay for my stuff so it is what it is. Let's put it this way--it's not exceptionally great service and they haven't pissed me off enough to not want to come back here so they must be doing something right. I can't comment on the bathrooms as I haven't yet needed an opportunity to use them. I can't comment on the food offered because it's been so long since I last ate here (if I ever ate here). So bottom line: basic experience, we keep coming back. Dated facility with probably dated equipment but nothing has failed us yet during the times we have been here so take that into consideration. 24/7 bowling? Yes! As all the old bowling alleys fall away, it is getting harder and harder to find a place just to throw a ball down a lane without lights strobing all over or so old and decrepit that the floor sticks - yuck. But Whitestone Lanes is holding their own. Lots of lanes, clean and easy going. Great for kids and adults alike. Have been there alone, with kid and for a kid's party and all was done very well. The downside - nothing is cheap. If you remember the old days and only want to pay $2 a game and $1 for shoes you should not come. It's not the ballgame, but for two games and shoes, you are over $20. That being said, enjoy...and bowl slow. read more

Its open 24hrs thats a plus and its pretty good. HOWEVER The pro shop isn't. The person never seems to keep to the hours either isn't there coming late or leaving early. That isn't how you do business. The hours said itbshouldve been open til 10 when I called to verify finally reaching someone today I was told they will be open til 930 but I got there at least 10 min before to find out he already had left earlier. and this is after I have called over last few days during specified hours and no one was picking up. read more

Went in there and the place was empty. Paid 24 for 1 game for 2 people so it's CRAZY expensive. Also had to wait 15 min to have the bumpers put up for the kids. We went to the desk 3 times to follow up. The guy was seriously annoyed that we interrupted his texting to ask him to do his job I'd give it no stars but that's not an option. It's a shame but I've gotten lousy service at this place before but decided to give it another try. I clearly won't make that mistake again. read more

It's close, convenient and open 24 hours a day. Used to be a lot worse, thay have maintained and renovated a bit. They have lots of lanes, usually no wait if you go on a weekday. The snack bar serves usual burgers, hotdogs and fries-and they have a bar that serves cheap drinks. You can usually find deals on Groupon or check out their midweek specials. read more

This place has been an overall bad experience for my schools bowling league since the beginning of the season. Fist of all, the staff gets angry when we do not fill our 4 lanes, and cause us to compress into 2 even though it takes more time and there is no one else occupying the lanes. Also during out practices, the lanes repeatedly break down causing us to waste a lot of our time waiting for them to be fixed over and over. Also, when we have more players during a game, they never let us PAY for extra lanes when they have almost an entire side free because they are "occupied" but then let people they know come in and bowl new games. Additionally, the place is outdated and everything is always broken, and pretty gross overall with gum under the seats and large roaches running around. The last point I would like to make, is my mostly African American bowling team has been scrutinized before by an old white women who works there, and I feel that in the incident, we were singled out for being black. Overall this place does not give off a good vibe, and im glad the season is over so I wont have to return forma few months. read more

Not sure if it's because I haven't bowled in a while or inflation has occurred but bowling got expensive! $7.50 a game per person on weekends/holidays. $4.50 on regular weekdays. $4.50 for shoe rentals. Couldn't find a lot of bowling ball varieties but I didn't look too hard anyway. Had a good time but they definitely need some upgrades i.e. speakers/sound system. read more

This has probably been the worst bowling alley I've ever been to. It's cash only (which is odd) and the customer service was shitty. The guy at the register was short with responses and wasn't a big help at all. He even ignored us for a second when we stood there to get further directions (he didn't tell us we had to walk to the other side for shoes or that the lane number was on the receipt). I'm in town visiting a friend and wanted to go bowling and we ended up here. Never again, I'll struggle to find parking in the city next time. read more

Before even finishing our first game a staff member came to our lane and started removing our balls from the rack without speaking a word. It's as if he wanted to dismiss us from house. I'm not fond of this type of treatment, if you have a mouth use it. I'm not interested in coming back at all and am definitely sticking to Van nest lanes from now on. read more

This place is great if you're coming with a group of people. I've been here many times with friends and I've never been disappointed. The staff is friendly, the food is good, the place is clean, and we always are able to bowl unbothered. I've never had any issues, and my friends and I always have a good time. The staff is also very attentive- if a ball got stuck in the lane or a bumper knocked down, a staff member would be over within 30 seconds to help us out. Definitely worth it to come here in a group. read more

They lied. Misadvertised, I got there at 12 midnight and the guy said "if you get the unlimited it's only $39" so I said ok and my friend and I paid the $39. At 2 am they shut our lane mid game. I go to the robust man behind the counter and I said "why my lane shut down" and he said " you're on your 2nd frame" and I said "what does that mean" and then he said "it means that you need to pay more or leave" with an attitude. I complained bc he had said it was unlimited and he said no I didn't he was clearly lying and they should let people know beforehand that it's not really unlimited so I wouldn't have paid the $39 to begin with. Also don't treat me like I'm going to steal your nasty ass, bowling shoes and make me hop around like a fool until I give you both the bowling shoes before I could receive my one shoe from behind the counter. Sometimes come here for the Saturday morning specials. Lanes are good and well oiled. However the place is usually far too crowded with some scummy parents that have no kid control. This is one of those places where you really do get what you pay for. The staff is clearly miserable working there. They'll often stand around texting even though they know you're standing there waiting for shoes or a lane. They have a ton of lanes, but for some reason they like to put you right next to other parties regardless of how many lanes are open. The last time I went, the bar was "closed" because they had a kids' birthday party, which really doesn't make any sense at all. The lanes often freeze up, so after pushing the "reset pins" button a million times, you finally have to call over one of the miserable employees to *gasp* do their job! I'd say the only pros to this place are the number of lanes and the cheap prices. Personally, I'd rather spend a few more bucks and have a more enjoyable time. read more

The one good thing is the food that's why it got two stars instead of one. First thing they don't except cards only cash. Second thing they won't allow you to bring in your own cake and won't give you a lane until you take it outside. Third, they stopped our game because we paid for everyone but they forgot and didn't say anything when they stopped the game we had to go and find out. If there was an issue that needed to be resolved a professional place would of came to us and addressed it rather than stopping our game and not saying anything until we went to the staff. This place is awful. First, they don't accept credit/debit cards. Second, they charged me for a cup of water. At least it was cold. Third, they wouldn't let us bring in a birthday cake. I understand not wanting to have outside food, but unless birthday cake is on the menu, what's the difference. Our waitress dropped ketchup and never brought us another one. They shut off our game a third of the way through despite all of us paying for the game because we had one additional player....who paid to play!! I've been going to Whitestone Lanes for months and it's now my go-to bowling spot (https://youtu.be/1WFGsBzg64s). I'm not into that trendy glow-in-the-dark bowling and Whitestone is well-lit so you can see what you're doing. The lanes are well-maintained, there's ample free-parking and the staff is generally very attentive. The best part, they're open 24/7 and believe me, you'll find people bowling at 2:00AM on a weeknight. It would be nice if they modernized the interior but that would probably result in a price hike so it's fine for now. The food options are pretty sad but there are several alternatives close by. I've seen everyone from families with small children, young adults on date-night, serious bowlers working on their game and everyone in between. Overall, a solid choice for a fun time. read more

Came here several times. Angelo was at the front desk and is by far the rudest person I have ever encounter. His attitude is just Nasty. He talked on the phone for 15 mins without even saying a word to me. When finally saying something he continued to text as if I didn't exist. I would t be going here again because he is the first impression and horrible to say the least. If you want to feel welcome don't go here. On top of horrible customer service the price is not cheap. Looks shady from the outside but inside is perfectly fine. Took 3 year old niece and we had a blast. There are probably 40-50 lanes. I was surprised with how big it was. Bumper bowling was set up for niece without an issue. Her ball got stuck down the middle of the lane a few times and within seconds there was a worker to retrieve the ball (without any prompting). Like coming here to bowl. It's a nice chill spot. Usually on Mondays from 10pm-2am you get unlimited games for just the price of one.

I bowl at whitestone every Sunday morning and the workers there are very nice, the lanes are very well taken care of, the people there are friendly and overall it is a fun and nice place to go and hangout. Also the pro shop there is really nice the worker Pete is very helpful and he takes care of you and you'll be bowling with your own bowling ball in no time. read more

My niece just had her birthday party here. When I got the invite, I thought to myself "why there?" cause I remember it being dark and the party room looked so rundown as did the lanes. Big improvement since the last time we went here about 2 years ago. They had a ramp thingy which made it possible for a toddler to have fun as well.
