The service at this place was terrible. The pins stocked on the lane and then showed the scores, but we did not play it. We asked to the guy in front but they just told us to play. My niece just had her birthday party here. When I got the invite, I thought to myself "why there?" cause I remember it being dark and the party room looked so rundown as did the lanes. Big improvement since the last time we went here about 2 years ago. They had a ramp thingy which made it possible for a toddler to have fun as well. I've come here a few times, once with family and a few times with friends. The location is great, and the prices are OK. It's kind of sketch and not super fancy. Stay away! Its dirty, old, the shoes stink and they have a bad attitude. The lanes freeze often and you lose time trying to get it reset. The lighting is bad, it looks depressing. The music was also obnoxiously loud, you have to scream to try to talk to the person next to you. I wouldn't trust their food either. The counter looks really dirty. read more

Had a birthday party today for 20+ toddlers. Lisa was in charge of everything from bowling to food. Everything was on point. Kids enjoyed the food and the bowling. Recommend for anyone having a childs party. Will definately be coming back!!! read more

Why there's a lot of bad critics about this place? In my opinion, this place is a retro feeling because when I entered this place with my friends for a two game of four, it looks like I'm in a late 70s or an early 80s bowling alley. The place has the aroma of orange soda, they got the Fast and the Furious arcade machines and the kitchen should look alive, that's why I took one star but I love their curly cheese fries, mmmm. read more

Only bowling lane in Flushing, secluded in an area next to the Whitestone expressway, and a far...far...far walk from Main St Flushing, dirty, dark, noisy on weekends with kids running around, and Specials are on weekdays or late nights. Yeah my expression wasn't a positive one. It's great that there is a bowling alley near the movie theaters so after the movies you can stop by and play a game or two. read more

Total garbage pit from the moment you pull into the parking lot. The exterior makes it look like it might be abandoned. Inside is worse. Everything is filthy...food counter, walls, floors, etc. Carpets are ripped up and shredded creating trip hazards. The bowling is priced right for a Wed afternoon except the automatic scorers never got a single frame, other than strikes, correct. The staff were generally hostile and/or apathetic. Went there with the kids of the school I work for. The bowling area works but the rest sucks balls. A single really small cheese pizza slice with a juice was $4 !!! I felt they were kidding! Plus they do not take debit nor credit cards... Its like some prehistoric bullcrap bowling place. NOT RECOMEND IT!!! read more

Walked in and walked out. This place is literally a community bowling center. No lights and no music for nighttime. Definitely not for the younger generation. They don't take card. And they have rules about lanes and bumpers. Just a run down spot. Don't recommend this for a fun night. read more

3/19/16. No star if only I could! Unfortunately this was my first and last time to bowl at Whitestone lanes as the service provided was horrendous. I just went last night and first of all, the three male staff at the counter were rude, douchebaggy, and incompetent. How do you quote my party of 8 different prices each time we went up to pay, we pay for 2 games and shoe rental for 8 people (8th person arrived 20 mins later than us) and even asked if it's ok if our 8th comes late, which was apparently ok, so we had a receipt that said we paid for 8 people. Then, the late comer in our party was able to show the paid receipt we had and rent out shoes, BUT then throughout our game, our lane was turned off 3 times with no explanation or reason why, or atleast a worker come by and to help or tell us if our time is up or if we were not following some sort of rule. My cousin went up up 3 times to the counter to see what was wrong and it was corrected within 5 minutes the first 2 times, but then the third time, we had to speak to the rude guy with the black cap on who said apparently we didn't pay for game for the 8th person although we had the receipt. So we showed that receipt and just paid what ever unexplained additional 12 bucks so the short night wasn't completely ruined. Within 10 minutes our game was entirely done. We basically paid the random additional 12 bucks to bowl the last 1.5 rounds. Ridiculous. I am never coming back and will never recommend this place. I didn't even start to describe how the facility is pretty dated and pretty run down. The sound system is awful and muffled but loud as hell. And the shoes do not seem sprayed with sanitizing spray each time as it left my cousins socks and my own with a very dank gross smell. The second we got our rental pair we already knew it wasn't going to be our usual experience of smelling that aerosol spray other reputable alleys use to disinfect. I mean there was no use to request another pair each, the workers didn't seem to give a damn anyway. After our 2 prepaid games were done, we didn't even bother to consider purchasing another game or just lingering around. P.s. it is CASH ONLY. Although the prices are cheap, it's best to spend your cash elsewhere where people actually give a damn about service. read more

A lot of lanes and great deals! Weekends from 8am to 12 noon are $19 for unlimited games. Lanes are in good condition for practicing or just to have a good time. About 45 lanes so not much waiting weekend mornings. Also have a great pro shop, Pete's, for all of your supplies. read more

One of the few kids-friendly bowling lanes that stays open relatively late. Overall experience was ok. My only gripes is that they're a bit on the pricy side. They also don't accept cash, but there is a ATM on site of course. Lane 6 is either slightly uneven or there is some sort of gravity pull, cause it kept pulling the balls slightly to the left. read more

I go here often with my kids. As a rule the customer service is poor. The people behind the desk are not kind. The bowling is good. The lanes work well. Unlike some other alleys, the bumpers are either on or off. So if you go with your kids you are forced to use bumpers. Simply does not have a good feel to it. read more

Always a blast coming here, any time any day. Prices are reasonable and place is clean. We usually do the $19.50 a person all you can bowl. Only thing I disagree with is that if you're doing this special, once it ends at 2:00am, if you are mid game you should be able to finish up that game at least. This place is classic. Great all you can bowl specials at certains days and times. Friendly and helpful staff. Huge Parking lot in the front as well as the back entrance. Best part is that they are 24 hours so you can bowl whenever the hell u want! How many bowling alleys do you know that are open all night 7 days a week??? PS. If you're looking for a classic old-school bowling alley without the crazy frills, you can't beat this place! It definitely has a vintage vibe, but I prefer it that way. I usually bowl in the mornings before work, light crowd so perfect if you want to concentrate and run drills/polish your skills. They're open 24/7 but I've never been here nights. If you bowl often (I bowl at least 10 games a week), sign up for their VIP program- $3/game between 6am-6pm M-F. You can't beat that price. Plus (and this is a BIG plus for me) you can actually get a printout of your scores/stats postgame. I've been to a few other (fancier) bowling alleys in Brooklyn and Queens, but none of them give you printouts. If you're not a league bowler or in training that probably doesn't matter to you, but if you're a bowler that's looking to polish your game and track your improvement, you understand why that's a big deal. I think the staff is friendly, and they also do a good job oiling the lanes. I gave this place 5 stars because it's got everything I'm looking for in an alley- cheap games, open lanes, convenient hours, parking, and score/stat printouts. I personally love coming here, reminds me of the alleys I used to go to as a kid which are sadly no longer around. read more

Looking at the cup half full this place isn't bad because you're guaranteed parking and no wait for a lane . Came here after another bowling alley had over an hour waiting list. This place gets the job done . They don't take credit or debit and have a an atm machine on premise just in case you don't bring cash . Wow, haven't gone bowling for years... Bought a good deal on Groupon and went on a Saturday afternoon. Service was ok, not too many people but lots of kids due to a kids birthday party. Quite noisy, but no one bowl quietly and not get excited when having strikes, right? So it was acceptable. This place is not the best bowling alley but is the one close to my place and easy to get to. Machines there worked fine, there's a bump near the end of gutter, but surprisingly helped us got higher score. Cheating? Maybe, but fun. I was kicking my fiance's behind until the gutter bump magically helped him! It was the last round, he knocked down 8 at first, one of the last two bottles was swinging left and right, and it got knocked down when the machine came down. Second throw, the ball went to the gutter but bounced back because that bump and knocked the last one down. Then he used hidden hulk power for the third throw, and had a strike. Damn............... By the way, we did not meet any rude bouncers or securities ln that weekend. Also no one call any of us Jeremy Lin while 3 out of 4 of us are Asians/Chinese. i used to come here a lot and stopped for a few years, took a break from bowling. then last year, i came here and it was past 10pm, there's a thuggish guy by the door demanding that i pay to enter (wtf is this? a club?) and he searched me. that didn't make me feel safe at all and it was pretty damn shady. equipment sucks, games are pricey, lanes suck also, and they've got shady people by the door... this place needs new management read more

Yeah, I did not care how bowling alleys looked like back in my high school days. However, after going to premium bowling alleys in Manhattan, and other alleys that have lots of room for your friends, this place needs a renovation. It's cramped too.
