Funtastic time at San-Dee Lanes. My party included 8 we took one of my cousin's here for his birthday as we he wanted to go bowling and San-Dee Lanes had a great groupon deal. I would go here without a groupon, the place was really nice the staff very sweet and it was a fun time. I'm not sure what people are complaining about, I do not need a fancy glamorized bowling alley to have fun, its all about great company and the staff being kind. The bowling alley is located near a LIRR stop which is a few blocks away, but even then, parking in this area is not hard to find. I have come here twice so far. My kids love it and they have a good selection of lighter balls for those that can't handle heavy balls. The kids bowled with 6lb balls while my wife bowled with 8lb balls. I have come here on a weekday and a Saturday, both times the bowling alley was rather empty which was nice. They have ceiling fans running and ac so it doesn't get too hot. The bowling alley isn't fancy. It's your standard bowling alley, but is a bit dated. However, it does serve its purpose and has 16 lanes. My kids typically bowl 2 games each and that seems to be enough for them. I would recommend this location if you want to avoid crowded bowling alleys. read more

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The machine was relatively new and the scoring system was very high tech. It showed different statistics based on our game scores/performance. There was plenty of seating space for each lane. The only issue was that their operation hours change from day to day, make sure you check their schedule before heading there. read more

This place is an actual dump. There were no lanes available and my family and I had to wait for more than 30 minutes. We decided to play some of the arcade games they had, but everything looked so uninviting. This place doesn't just need a deep clean, it needs a whole renovation. It smelled so, so bad and when we finally got to play, the shoes I got were falling apart, we found bowling balls that were literally broken, and the bowling ball machine got stuck twice. The alley we had drifted so bad, and be mindful that if you need the bumpers, you need to ask for someone to come over and pull them up. If you want them, they're gonna have to stay up for every single person unless you keep putting them down and bringing them back. I wouldn't ever come back. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. Yes, it's small, and yes, it's not as modern as the AMFs, Strike 300s, and the other big chains. There are only 16 lanes, and it's tucked away on a side street in Malverne so that you'd never know it was there, but I'm so glad we found this place a few years ago. The staff is friendly, they have great specials on Friday nights, and there's a giant municipal parking lot right across the street. They have a lot of different options for league bowling, and the people who bowl here are all friendly and fun to bowl with. If you're looking to eat gourmet food, play laser tag, and sit on velour couches, then you should probably go somewhere else. If you're looking for a BOWLING ALLEY, where the lanes are clean and well-kept and the staff is friendly, then this is the place to go. read more

This is a nice spot for bowling. Compared to other bowling alleys, this one is reasonably priced. They make it easy for the children to bowl with the light balls and ramps. The employees here are great. Very nice. My 2 yr old must have gotten the ball stuck in the lane a good five or six times and everytime, the young man working there retrieved it with a smile. San Dee Lanes has been my go to place for bowling, drinks and pro shop. Every time I go with my family they make us feel like family. They recently renovated the place and made it look welcoming(more inviting). Staff is great and friendly. If you are looking to purchase any equipment Ed is the person to speak with. Great personality! Absolutely pleasant. I am usually wary of new places but this place was professional and pleasant. We bought a group on for six and walked in. No questions, he scanned the group on and we started playing. We played 2 games for 2 hrs 15 mins until 11:45pm and they were kind and hospitable. I will definitely be taking my boys there again. This place is a dump. Most of the bowling balls have tiny holes that would never fit an adult hand. If that wasn't bad enough, everything in this garbage dump of a place is broken. When we visited today, the ATM was out of order, the change machine was empty, the bathroom looked like a war zone - a toilet was ripped out of the wall, coils were coming out of the hand dryer, only one soap dispenser worked and Jesus Christ, there were no doors on the friggin stalls! The air hockey machine had multiple places on the table where the puck would get stuck. As for the food, the pizza looked like it had been sitting around since 2016. You'd have to be a daredevil to try the food here. I think this sign on the wall of San Dee Lanes sums up this place. read more

It is true that the bowling alley is simple and lacks any sort of "razzle dazzle" but why does one go to a bowling alley? To bowl, right? We started bowling when we were told to move because leagues were starting soon. The problem was there were no other lanes available for at least 40minutes. Not a nice way to treat your customers. This place needs a major renovation. Primarily it stinks like shit. Its dirty and outdated. If your charging me thirty bucks for one hour than there better be a clean pleasant enviornmeny. I tried to open the door to get some fresh air and the owner tells me to close it- well buddy if your location didnt smell like sewage and feces I wouldn't need to have the door open! Went there the other night with my family and the place is a little older than most places I've been to. We were unable to have bumpers for specific people who needed it , but had to be for the whole lane. The price is unbeatable though, their website is not up to date and they honored the price . This is a very cute & cozy place. My son & I started going on Wednesdays & we love if. He's 9 and has mild autism. The staff is so incredibly nice & accommodating . It's very affordable. Visited this place for the last 5 years. Not fancy but the staff made you felt like family! Always had a good time! Went there tonight to bowl a couple of games with my family for my birthday. I was told that it's a league night and the wait was a half hour to forty five minutes. The guy behind the counter said if you hang around stop at the bar and I'll give you free shoe rental! We have our own shoes and balls! I just wanted to bowl!!! Anyway went to the bar played some pool and ordered some food. Bartender was cool and the food guy was on point! The service is absolutely atrocious. This place is a dump. It smells gross and the food is disgusting and the bowling balls cannot even fit my fingers. The people working here are very rude as they wouldn't give me and my friends bumpers because we were "too big". It is an absolute disgrace to call this a bowling alley. Also, we saw rats running around in the bathroom. Disgusting! I recommend never coming here. It is way too expensive for the terrible service and atmosphere that is brought here.
