Eddy and Rachel have performed wonders on our pooch. The dog is a shaggy mixed breed and does not like having a bath and a hair cut. Previous groomers were not to receptive to a second visit. His dismay is not an issue with Eddy or Rachel. At Whitestone Grooming they have made Ziggy look and smell wonderful! He goes in looking like a dust mop then comes out impeccably groomed and looks ready for the Westminster Dog Show (too bad he is a mixed breed). It's always a pleasure seeing Eddy and Rachel. They are not only true professionals they are enjoyable to talk with! See the before and after pictures below! read more

Spoke with First, and he is straight to the point and honest which is the exact way I prefer to do business. Rachael then took over and she was very nice and detailed in regard to the haircut. The shop was very clean and carried many accessories. I was able to get an appointment same day and the haircut was flawless. In addition, they gave us a complimentary gift bag with snacks, a calendar, and a name tag. Well deserved 5 stars! read more

WARNING!!! POSITIVE REVIEW AHEAD...... First things first i was sent here by a friend from work. He has a Siberian Husky so I trust his opinion. I'm going to break my review down into sections. Overall Customer Service: 5 Stars Phone: I called before going to check the place out. The owner answered, made a joke and that was it. I knew this was the place for me! If you don't understand his sense of humor, it's probably because you're having a bad day or you're just a miserable person whom doesn't like to laugh! In person visit: The next day my boyfriend and I came to check the facility out on our lunch break. We loved it, him and left a deposit. Drop Off: I cried like a baby because we were leaving our baby for 8 days. This was our first time being away from our baby since we got her (almost 3 years). We were greeted by the owner's daughter Omg what a flippn sweetheart! She was super sweet, friendly and personable like her dad! There was another lady there that was also sweet. My best friend picked our baby up. She told me how happy our baby was! We got home to a super happy and groomed baby! Not only did they take care of her for eight days, they also groomed her for free! They exceeded every hope and wish I had! They made this very paranoid helicopter mommy feel very safe. I even called while I was away in St. Lucia. The owner was very patient and understanding. read more

We recently had some major renovations done to our house and needed a place to bring our dog, Holly, during the day when my wife and I were at work. We remembered getting a flyer from Whitestone Doghouse during a Street Fair earlier this year that said they had Doggy Daycare & they opened at 7am! That was perfect for us! Cris and Mike could not have been mor accommodating and friendly! They took great care of Holly and after a few days, she would walk right in, tail wagging! (Unlike the vet where we practically have to drag her as soon as she steps out of the car) We can't recommend Whitestone Doghouse highly enough! Thanks Cris and Mike!! read more

I told my 1 year old lab mix here for her first groom. Whitestone Doghouse was professional & extremely caring towards my pup. She suffers from anxiety and I was nervous this would be a lot for her to handle. However , she was very calm & happy when I picked her up. She smelled great & looked great. I'm very happy with Whitestone doghouse. They were also very fairly priced. read more

Have been bringing Hazel and Holly regularly for almost 5 years for grooming and boarding occasionally. Rachel has always been so great and when her dad Eddie was there very accomodating. With the new partners with Rachel renovations and more services were added with day care, outdoor time when boarding (for an additional fee) etc... I would recommend the Whitestone Dog House. read more

The crew at Whitestone Doghouse went above and beyond for me when I was at home in Iowa for a wedding. Due to some inappropriate behavior on my dog Carl's part, I needed to have him boarded after I had left town. They worked with me completely by phone and agreed to board him for a week while I was away. Thanks everyone! You really helped me out!!! read more

I recently took my vizsla Auggie there to be groomed and pampered. She was treated like a queen. They did a great job and I will continue to go there. I am even considering having her go to day camp there once we return to some normalcy. It's a small place but the care and love is quite evident. Use this place. read more

The staff and owners are true animal lovers. They understand that when someone leaves their pet for an extended stay, it's like leaving a family member behind. The care and attention my Athena receives at Whitestone Dog House is unmatched. She is happy and well cared for. read more

The first time I took my dog there was fine. Wasn't that happy with how they cut the hair at some areas. Think they could have done a much better job. They didn't clean her mouth or ears at all. When she came home she didn't eat for 2 days. You guys did something to bother her I know it. I took her to Petco to get groomed and she was totally fine and they did a much better job. Second time a relative of mine took my dog there with out asking me if I liked it or not. The cut wasn't the way I wanted it either. They don't ask. They just do. Ask me first like what the heck. When we went to go get the dog I was charged more than last time I was dumbfounded. They explained how she wouldn't sit still and was barking and crying the entire time. So she was a handful. No i do not take that as an excuse. You do not charge me extra if my dog is crying. What kind of people are you? I will not recommend this place to anybody. I wonder how you guys treat dogs when you have them overnight. read more

My first time going to Whitestone Doghouse. Was very pleased with the grooming and the staff. Highly recommended

My good friend Rob has been bringing his dogs here to groom and to board when him & his family go on vacation. It's a cute shop located on a busy street. When we got there we were greeted directly by Rachel. Shes really nice and knows her dog stuff! She greeted Gizmo and told us we'd get a call when he was ready. We then ran some errands and grabbed some lunch when they called me. Since its Saturday, they do get busy so make sure you make an appointment. He looked so cute! And smelled great! Rachel and her dad did a great job! They are very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Next to the shop they have a play room and the kennels are located downstairs. They have a good deal of customers, so this means good services. Gizmo looked great and even got some treats and some goodies in one of their signature bags! Check out the pix! Thanks Rachel and staff! Look forward to bringing Gizmo here in the future! read more

I take my dog here to get her nails clipped and the owner and staff are are always friendly and professional. The prices are reasonable as well. Highly recommend ! read more

If I could give a 10 star rating I would . Also for the people leaving negative comments I don't see how you could have a bad experience here unless you are A. Un reasonable or B. Just stuck up . I recently adopted Kilo and for the life of me he looked like big foot with all that hair at the last minute I called to make an appointment based on their reviews , social network and they seemed just great at what they did . They decided to take me , thus my kilos first trip to queens . Rachel was super friendly and kind to my dog upon arrival . I was immediately greeted welcomed and that made me feel like Kilo would be in great hands . I'm a new dog Mommie so I sometimes get anxiety leaving him places or alone . Her partners were very helpful . I saw a collar I was red than came as a leash and they made an exception and sold me the collar . They have so much variety !! If I knew I would have brought a big canvas shopping bag !! So many treats and big dog beds for just 22 ?!?! I found out Kilo is a nipper lol along side being a brat at times but they were still gentle and showed him nothing but love and for that I am now a permanent customer read more

Love them! Great people. Took very good care of my puppy. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend!!!

Nothing would make me happier than rating this groomer a 0/5 if I was able to, but unfortunately I can't so ill settle for a 1/5. The staff was initially friendly and flexible with me, I easily scheduled my dog within an hour of my phone call to have her nails clipped. After i brought my dog to the store, staff requested my payment up front. They ran my card, acquired payment for the service and once i payed for it, it became apparent that they stopped caring altogether. Staff saw my dog for less than 2 minutes and told me to have a vet clip her nails. The environment was filled with barking and whimpering dogs, OF COURSE MY DOG WOULDN'T BE COMFORTABLE HERE AFTER JUST 2 MINUTES!! What was worse was that they charged me full price for cutting less than half of our dogs nails. HATE this place, I could've easily been a weekly customer of theirs as I live in whitestone and it was a very convenient location for my dog. The staff did not give my dog adequate attention and handed the leash back to me with the statement, "she peed on her leash". Essentially I left the store with my dog smelling like pee, half of her nails were still uncut, and I was $10.84 poorer. I am a huge supporter of small businesses, just not ones that put in no effort in and lack compassion for their clientele. Take your money elsewhere, and let this place go out of business. read more
